Physical Description:
Physically at least Jericho is the spitting image of his older brother from his intense dark brown eyes through to his unruly chestnut brown hair. Some people think he deliberately emulates his brother but the two simply are what they are and there is no mistaking the family resemblance. Jericho is however a fraction shorter and a little more heavily built than his brother though you would never know from the speed of his reactions. He is well muscled from his sporadic but obsessive workout binges.
Attitude:
Whilst physically similar the brothers are chalk and cheese in their mindsets. Volatile conjures an appropriate mental image of Jericho and he struggles constantly with turbulent moods and changing thoughts and feelings. He hates to be alone and quickly becomes bored or agitated but at the same time has no real idea how to behave around most people. He often finds people intolerably slow to understand him, frequently resulting in angry outbursts and impulsive reactions. Everything is either black or white to Jericho, but his opinion of which is which can change entirely overnight.
Abilities:
Jericho is extremely intelligent but with his Borderline Personality Disorder he has always had considerable difficulty staying focused on anything long enough to take full advantage of it. His volatile moods have prevented him from forming any stable relationships and the only individual he keeps coming back to despite their frequent rows is his big brother Sinjon. Jericho tries his best not to indulge in vices, but when he does it is always a self-destructive binge.
Whilst not the man to send on a lone reconnaissance, when the shit hits the fan the safest place to be is one step behind Jericho. He is a good fighter and an excellent raider, and if he can be kept to his brother's plans he can generally deliver the goods with a fervour few can match.
History:
Jericho had been born in Haven, a free human being with the right to starve and die like every other human in the makeshift town. His parents had been amongst the first to rally to the town under the leadership of the old Admiral, looking for a place to call home for themselves and for their newborn son Sinjon. Somewhere worth calling home. They raised their sons to believe that human freedom was worth fighting for and if necessary dying for.
It soon became clear however that there was something not quite right with young Jericho. He was quiet and studious one moment, angry and rebellious the next. He made friends slowly and lost them much faster. It was his mother who took the problem in hand. She saw a much deeper side to her youngest son, and declared he was possessed of a sensitive spirit, disturbed because he was too attuned to the turmoil of the world. She saw in him something necessary and encouraged Sinjon to see his sibling the same way.
She was a soothing influence on her two boys, and nurtured the bond between them, knowing that Jericho could never survive alone and that she would not be there for him forever. In her quiet way she also saw what others had missed, that Sinjon needed his brother too. She believed devoutly that her boys were the way they were for a greater reason, a purpose, and she endeavoured to make them feel that every day of their lives.
When his parents died in a raid on the vampire city when he was only 12, it almost destroyed Jericho. The gaping emptiness in his life seemed unfillable and had it not been for Sinjon's intervention he would likely have ended his own life in despair. But his brother coaxed him back from that dark place and the bond between them was Jericho's lifeline.
He has had relationships over the years but they never seem to last and generally end badly. His affairs thus tend to be passionate but brief. Loss is not something that Jericho deals with well. When a girl to whom he had become attached in a rather tumultuous love/hate relationship was killed on a raid, sixteen year old Jericho had, in a blind rage, tried to attack the Admiral himself.
Though he does not act that way, Jericho knows full well how much his brother buffers him from the dealings with people he cannot himself cope with. Sinjon is the only person Jericho can really talk to about anything and everything and he is the conduit through which many of Jericho's better thoughts and ideas reach the right ears.
Jericho still has few friends, there are not many in the harsh lives lived in Haven who can spare the time or effort to navigate Jericho's volatile moods. What he does have is the respect of anyone who has been in the field with him when hell has broken loose, and there are more than a few Havenites who would consider that they owed their lives to his inspired reactions and flawless instincts under fire.
There is a saying going around Haven amongst some of the younger raiders; “No-one can get you out of Hell better than Jericho, because most of the time he lives there.”

“Rot in Hell!” Jericho bellowed over his shoulder, slamming the door of the small hut behind him as he stormed out into the dirt road that snaked between the small personal residences of the Havenites. He glared around furiously before striding away towards the training area. He was still muttering curses under his breath and those who saw him coming pretended not to. They all knew you just couldn't talk to Jericho when he got wound up like that. Not that he was exactly easy to talk to at the best of times.
Jericho was furious. He had been arguing with Sinjon again about the last raid and that idiot Jonah. He didn't like him, he didn't trust him and he was convinced that Jonah was going to get somone killed soon... and Sinjon had stuck him with the moron again for his next raid. “Maybe I should just shoot him myself and save everyone the trouble...?” he muttered under his breath, giving the thought some genuine consideration. What was Sinjon thinking?
A tight knot had formed in his guts by the time he reached where the young men were training and he stripped down to join them. He hated arguing with his brother. It always left him with a sick feeling inside. Jericho almost turned around there and then to return to the dwelling they shared. The cold fear had surfaced once again, that when he got back there Sinjon would be gone. He clenched his fists in frustration. He wasn't a child any more, so why had he said those things when he didn't mean them?
When he looked up again from his introspection he noticed that several of those training had hurridly departed. Jericho often ended up training alone and he hated it. He just couldn't concentrate. He wished he hadn't argued with Sinjon, because then he might have come with him. Frustrated he layed into a punch-bag, venting the anger he was no longer quite sure why he felt. His hands were raw and bloody when a voice behind him sounded. “Ease up Jericho, you killed it already.”
He turned to face his brother Sinjon, who placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. “I'll talk to Niko about it okay?” Jericho nodded and relaxed some. He and Sinjon were good again. Of course Sinjon had already talked to the Admiral about Jonah and that was exactly why he had been assigned to Jericho's raid in the first place, but Sinjon wasn't about to stir up that hornet nest again.
