Playby: Ryan Reynolds
Name: Gavin McMahon
Age: 30
Sex: Male
Sexual Orientation: Fuck the binary!
Species: Mutant
Physical Description: Gavin is one of those guys who is just naturally the hottest thing on the planet. Even with bed head and crumpled clothing, he is desirable beyond measure. He stands at 6’2” of pure sexiness. The fact that he absolutely hates anything covering his arms while in combat has forced him into the habit of wearing tank tops and muscle shirts. His wardrobe makes it impossible to hide the sculpted definition of his oh so masculine body. I’d lick him…
Attitude: Oh, he’s a cocky one; a smartass to the very end. Someone once told him his dying breath would be wasted on a smartass remark, to which he replied, “A good smartass remark is only wasted on the ears of dimwits.” He is known for sarcasm and his cynical sense of humor. He does that to hide the emotional scars that he carries within him.
Abilities: Gavin moves at supersonic speeds. He can move so fast that when he moves from one space to another, he appears to have teleported there. This ability is extended into his dexterity, in that he can move his limbs and body so fast that he can dodge bullets if he knows when the trigger will be pulled and his sword skills are immeasurable. His weaknesses include, he needs massive amounts of calories to maintain the energy to use his power, if he burns out the soles of his shoes when running he will tear up his feet, if he uses his ability too much he suffers a burn out which causes him to sleep like a rock for hours.
History: The night Gavin was born, it was raining cats and dogs, literally. The tornado that went through the area where he was born came only feet from the sturdy dwelling his small family was temporarily staying in. No one is sure exactly where the cats and dogs came from but it sure was a mess… His family lived in a caravan that moved from place to place, one step ahead of the zombie hordes. He was taught to sleep in trees and on rock ledges and was given his first gun at the age of 5. Obviously it wasn’t a very smart way to live since the entire camp was overrun by zombies and everyone in it was eaten except for Gavin. Not that he needed to be very fast, since zombies run like they are running knee deep in tar, but that’s when Gavin discovered he could run REALLY fast. He was only 11 years old and suddenly on his own. One could imagine he was terrified out there. So he ran. He ran for what seemed like forever before passing out when a VSF patrol found him and took him to New York.
The vampires quickly found out that they had a handful with Gavin. He was incorrigible, flip and mouthy with anyone who tried to assert authority over him in a way that was inhumane. That only got him into more trouble. He had seen from experience that letting the vampires know he had a special talent was a bad idea. He saw the VSF shoot a half starved homeless man in the street for turning dice in a craps game with his mind. There were a lot of homeless mutants in New York. Since they were mutants, they were not allowed to pay a blood tax and therefore were not given housing. Many froze to death in the winter, some were hunted by vampires and demons for sport. He swore when he grew up, he would do something to help mutants like himself. No one should be mistreated just because they are a mutant, even if they are a smart ass. One of the vampire matrons there tamed him with feminine wiles, giving him his first manly experience when he was only 14. She got a glimpse of his ability to move very fast but she never said anything to anyone. She saw him practicing in the long halls of the orphanage in the middle of the night, disappearing from one end and appearing on the other. It wasn’t illegal to be a mutant, they were just mistreated because the vampires had no use for them. Everyone was mistreated in New York but the mutants had the worst of it. Some were even drugged, beaten and put in stocks on the courthouse steps just to frighten people from breaking the laws. When Gavin was 16, the matron that had taken his virginity, roused him from a dead sleep in the middle of the night. She told him he was the only one who could be fast enough to get away. The magistrate had fallen, the reactor was going to blow, wall would fall and the zombies would flood into the city, he had to run. He begged her to come too but she simply smiled and ran away from him. He had no choice but to leave.
He pulled on a pair of sturdy boots and ran for the wall of the city. He stood on top of it and saw that he was looking out into sea of zombies. The alarms were going off, the city was panicking and he needed to hurry. He wondered who was worse, the zombies who wanted to eat people all at once, or the vampires who wanted people to let them eat them little by little. He ran along the wall until he found a clear path, jumped down and ran off into the night. He was so fast; he could run right past a zombie and they wouldn’t even smell him until he was light years away. When he was clear he turned back in time to see the city was in chaos. Whole buildings where exploding. The city was engulfed in flames. He turned and ran until he could not run anymore. That night he slept in a tree and didn’t wake up for nearly two days. He then began his trek to find a place to go. While in the wilderness, he found a wandering prophet who allowed him to tag along with him for a while. He taught him to hunt and fight and he taught him about love from a book he would read from in his mind. He taught him how to be kind, yet strong. He was with the man for nearly 4 years when they happened to come across New Vegas. Prophet told him that he knew this was where Gavin would make a difference. This place was where he should stay and follow through with his plans to help other mutants. Gavin stayed.

Rp Sample: Gavin squirmed at the desk he sat at but he kept his feet planted firmly on the floor. His head lolled back with his eyes closed for a minute and it looked like he might be stretching his neck. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly. The woman on the other side of the desk was saying something but he barely heard her. He needed to focus but it was almost impossible. He looked down at her file and quickly signed a credit slip and pushed it across the desk at her along with a thick envelop. “Here are some credits and your new identity.” He paused, inhaled sharply, licked his lips and cleared his throat. “We are always here if you need help.” He gave her a crooked smile, “Now if you will excuse me, I have something I need to finish up.” He looked at the woman from across the desk, she was clearly concerned about his behavior but she tentatively picked up the papers and left the room.
Gavin immediately let out a moan, his body tensed, his hands gripped the arms of his chair and he let his head back fall back. After a minute, his body relaxed and he let out a sigh. He smiled and looked down at the two amused eyes looking back up at him from the space under his desk. “You have impeccable timing.” He snickered and was answered by a giggle and a small woman climbed out from under his desk and pecked him on the nose.
“I know.” The spritely little thing giggled again. Then, without a word, she skipped happily out of his office.
Gavin grinned and let a breath out through is teeth, “No one’s tongue should be able to do that. This is why mutants are so cool.” He turned his attention back to his paperwork.
