(( Going out on a limb after brain storming with Matt ))
Delsenora had been busy that morning and was not looking forward to what awaited her later. It'd been several weeks now that she'd been apart of the pack and life had settled into a routine of sorts. Making friends had come easy enough. Finding someone she liked was going pretty good too, she thought with a smile.
Arron came scampering up and tugged on the hem of her pull over. It was something she'd yet to give up wearing no matter that most knew of her scars by now and few questioned them any more. "Dels you said you'd sing to us, you promised" He added with an impatient whine that only little children can use to great effect.
"I did didn't I. Well come along and get everyone else. We'll learn a new song today before I go get supplies." She told him with a pat on the head and chuckled as he ran off to get a few of the other pups that were in the common area. She waved at Arron's mother and sat down along the wall.
As the children gathered around her she could only grin at them and began teaching them yet another little song she'd learned from the sisters. They had instilled a love of music in her that would never fade as long as she had a breath left in her.
"Well, how about we practice Twinkle little star?" She asked the children and was met with several nods and yes's. "All right. "
"Twinkle twinkle little star. How I wonder what you are?" She began singing softly and slowly so they would pick up the melody
"But what's a star Dels?" Arron asked as he crawled into her lap.
"It's a pretty little light that hangs up in the sky at night sparkling for all to see. Don't you want to hear the rest of the song?" She asked him as she tried to dislodge him from her lap
"No. How come it hangs up there don't it ever fall to the ground?" another asked taking up where Arron left off.
"They do fall or well they shoot rather.. across the sky and when you see a shooting star you make a wish on it. Least that's what I was told." she added and once again tried to move him.
"How come we don't have stars down here? Did you ever make a wish Dels? Who told you about wishes?"
The questions were almost endless and she shook her head and answered as best she could. No they couldn't go up and see the stars cause the nasty fangers would be lurking she told them and hopped that none of them would get the idea to go up looking for the stars. Perhaps twinkle twinkle wasn't such a good song after all.
After more then an hour she freed herself and left the children in the care of their mothers. She was to find Hall and see if he needed any help with things being so new and all. Not that she wasn't new herself an all but at least she didn't shift every time she sneezed..
She wasn't sure exactly what she could help him with. He was a bit surly and seemed pissed at the world in general after being made into a lycan. It wasn't something she ever considered not being.. at least not since she had been given over to Leeanne.. and told what she was.
She made her way down the corridor where Halls room was and paused at the door. Just what did one say to a grouchy lycan? She wondered and rolled her eyes at her own foolishness.
"Hey Hall you in there?"

Hall was in a serious mood. He had been in the same mood for the last week but up until now he had been too busy running and being in pain to have the time to sit and ruminate on it. Now though all he seemed to have was time. It seemed to him he had every reason in the world to be royally pissed off. He was still hungry, painfully so, and that made it hard for him to sleep. And then there was this room, which might as well be a cell for all that it had been made abundantly clear exactly what would happen to him if he left it without an escort.
Perhaps he would have been better to have stayed out in the desert? No... he would have been dead by now. Whatever had been done to him he needed to understand it and how to use it or it was just going to get him killed. It wasn't as if he had anywhere else to go either. Wasn't everyone he had ever known in his entire life dead now? Oh yeah, except for the ones who had tried to kill him... He growled to himself again, he had found he was doing a lot of that at the moment. He didn't even have any clothes to wear, the rags he had scavenged to enter the city had been falling apart even before he had his run in with Lukias.
And Lukias... The alpha pack leader was something of a conundrum to him. He wanted to hate the guy, just out of pure reflex for him being 'in charge', but it was hard to do that when the man had such ...presence. That and every time Hall thought about the first time he had seen him, stood there in the corridor practically naked but for the remains of his shredded pants, he got a raging hard-on. Shit! He had to stop doing that. Never had Hall felt so totally out of control of his own body. Sure he had gotten horny a lot before but not all the god damned time...
Hall sighed in frustration and stretched out his lean frame on the thin, lumpy mattress with its rough blanket that had been hurriedly found for him, trying to think of something other than his hunger or his dick. Here didn't seem like such a bad place he supposed. Everywhere had jerks right? And the others had left him pretty much alone for now. But the whole underground warren thing made him feel trapped and agitated. If it wasn't for the entirely illogical sense of 'home' that clung to the place he wasn't sure he could stand it at all. He found he was longing for the mountains and open spaces, he was used to seeing horizons.
His miserable reminiscence was interrupted by the sound of a voice calling his name. Stupid question. Where else was he going to be? “No.” he called out irritably, “I'm not here at all. You must be hearing things.”

Her brow quirked at his tone and she could only roll her eyes at what he'd said. Dels shoved his door open and stepped into his room. Without waiting for his invitation in, if he was going to be a pain in the ass well so was she. She did a sweeping glance around and realized that his was even smaller then her own with.. guess she lucked out there. Least she had a nice pillow now. "Well since your not here then your not going to want to go out for a bite to eat then either I suppose." She said in a droll tone as her arms crossed over her chest as she regarded him with a level stare.
She knew what it was like to be new to a place and Dels was fairly certain that he was probably feeling a little claustrophobic about being down here in the under city. It had taken her days to get used to being below the ground again. She really missed the time that her and her small family had spent out in the wastelands. Yea the zombie hoards sucked, but at least there was fresh air and wide open spaces. Not cramped rooms and dank tunnels.
"Look I've heard your not thrilled about being a Lycan, but it's better then being dead. So you can either come with me and learn a few things or I can leave you here hungry while you sulk some more. It's up to you pup." She added with a careless shrug of her shoulders.
Frankly she was hungry and whether or not he came with her was not going cause her a moment of regret.. though she'd be forced to bring him back something to eat. She was to show him the ropes or at least try to and letting him starve was not going to accomplish that in the least.
" I'm Delsenora by the way, a pleasure to meet you."

Hall Looked up as the door opened but didn't make much of a reaction otherwise. He wasn't even sure if this was supposed to be his room now or if it was just some place Lukias had him stuck to keep him out of the way. As such he had no territorial feelings towards it right now so he didn't particularly care about the uninvited intrusion, it did in fact break up the monotony somewhat. The figure stood in the doorway did far more to shake him from his ennui. The sight and scent of the attractive blonde who's hair seemed to shine a red-gold in the dim light, now had his full and undivided attention having in one fell swoop covered both his immediate obsessions. “Out to eat....?” Hall sat up quickly.
“Who said I was pissed at being a Lycan?” he growled. Hall would have argued the point on principle but he genuinely didn't recall having said that. He hadn't even known what a Lycan was until Lukias enlightened him last night. “I'm pissed 'cos my whole town just got butchered, I'm pissed 'cos I got to spend quality time as a demon's chew toy, and I'm pissed that I nearly starved to death 'cos the bastard who bit me didn't tell me what Lycans eat...” He glared at her irritably. “If I was pissed about being a Lycan I would have just gone for Lukias last night and ended it...”
Hall looked the woman squarely in the face. He wasn't some sulky child throwing a tantrum and he was damned if he was going to be treated as one. He meant every word he had just said. He was alive and kicking because he chose to be, not because he was afraid of the alternative. “...and enough with the 'pup' crap. My name is Hall.” He sighed and quit staring at her. Nothing that had happened to him had been anything to do with her, and neither was his frustration, poor mood or bad temper. He just felt so... pissed off at the whole damned universe right now, for no particular reason at all.
“I'm being a jerk. Just ignore me okay?” He got up off the floor and tried for a smile that wasn't entirely a letch. “An' it's nice to meet you too Delsenora.” His stomach growled of its own volition and he gave her a hopeful look. “You mentioned eating..?”

She shifted her stance so that her hands were on her hips as her right eyebrow arched sharply, above her amber colored eye. The scents coming off of him in waves told her all she needed to know about what he was feeling.. she kind of reveled in it actually, the fact that he couldn't mask his scent or be deceptive.. it would come with training and practice though.
"Darling, you reek of anger, I don't need you to tell me how your feeling I can smell it." She told him with an amused chuckle. He was rather cute all riled up and an all. His little rant, gave her some insight that they may have more in common then she realized. At least she knew about the whole making it across the wasteland and all. Though it was within site of the city that she'd lost her family to the mindless hoard of living dead. That didn't make it any less traumatic of a loss, and she could sympathize with him on that aspect of his life.
Dels ignored his glare and returned his stare instead with an slight smirk teasing one corner of her lip in a upward tilt. "Yea, your not pissed.. the anger is just coming off you in waves there.. Hall. And to me you are a pup.. and I don't get to ignore you, I get to help you learn a few things about your new life.. a whole new world that's within your grasp if you only chose to embrace it." she added letting her smirk slowly turn from teasing into a genuine smile of friendship.
"So lets go over the basic's first.. eating.. we get to eat mostly anything. Humans are prime cuts of meat. Vampires... will make you deathly sick, Demons I haven't a clue, haven't ever nibbled on one to tell one way or the other. Worgs and Zombies.. well I can't say that rotted flesh has any appeal as a meal could you?" She asked and shifted her stance once more to lean against the wall her arms crossed over her chest as she spoke. Just talking about zombies made her skin crawl and she rubbed her arms once before pushing off the wall with a soft sigh. She would never go above outside of the city again if she could help it. Not even to see the wide open space's she'd left behind.
"Yea I mentioned eating.. and judging from the sounds coming from your stomach, I'll take the bet that your starved. It's a shitty feeling. I know to well. So that being said, come on there's a hot meal just waiting for us to snatch it up. That is if your ready to learn how to catch it?" She taunted mildly. Lately she'd been a little restless and out of sorts herself. Teaching someone would be just the thing to alleviate some of the pent up frustrations she was feeling at the moment. Dels would make sure Hall would learn just what he needed to survive amongst the pack. She eyed him a moment longer then was necessary. Drinking in his wiry build and striking features before turning on her heel and making her way out into the tunnel and turning toward the ones that would lead them to the city above.
She licked her lower lip slowly as a few errant thoughts of hungers that had nothing to do with food filtered through her mind. Dangerous, to taunt the boy perhaps, she thought. But if a girl didn't flirt with danger once in a while it lead to utter boredom and loneliness. Neither of which Delsenora felt like experiencing. At least not while she was still alive and breathing.

It was annoying that he was pissed off and Dels just seemed to think it was funny. What the hell about anything these days was funny? He hated the 'pup' moniker, but it was becoming obvious that the more he complained about it the more it was going to get used, so he just sucked it up. He tried to just breathe and chill out but the nagging pain in his stomach made everything more difficult. This woman seemed to be genuinely trying to help him out, and at least she wasn't taking his grouchy attitude personally. Hell, if nothing else she had a sense of humour.
There had been plenty of time for Hall to think over what he had done last night, what he had eaten there in the lycan communal area and what it once was. Much as it had been mostly devoured, the remains had still been entirely recognisably a human cadaver, and he hadn't given a damn. Whilst he knew that the way he had fallen on it ravenously was more to do with his emerging lycan hunger, it wasn't as if he'd tried to fight it, and he hadn't felt the least bit of guilt or regret afterwards either. Hall had never regretted anything he had done to keep himself alive.
Now Hall wasn't exactly a people-person and he wasn't a virgin when it came to having killed his fellow man, but eating him after hadn't been on his resume. For one thing cannibalism wasn't exactly healthy, though he knew enough that at a pinch you could offset the jaundice with ground birch bark. Yeah, that was one of the things his father had taught him, one of the 'trade secrets' the older scavengers shared amongst themselves. There were advantages to being born into the 'club' so to speak and Hall was third generation.
Though now he guessed that cannibalism wasn't an accurate term any-more, not for humans anyway. Biting the blonde jerk had made him sick again so cannibalism was still a bad idea it seemed. He wondered for a moment if there was a trick to getting past that too. If there was it would be good to know, though asking seemed like a good way to make himself really unpopular. With a whole city full of humans above it didn't seem like it should be an issue anyway. Besides there were more pressing questions that he wanted answers to.
He scratched absently at the branded mark on his chest. It had been healing badly back in the mountains but then incredibly quickly when he was running across the wastelands. Now it was just a dark, shiny mark on his skin, a scar that looked like it was years old not days. If that level of healing was a part of being a lycan he could definitely live with it. He nodded his understanding to Dels. “I'm ready all-right.” he added for emphasis. “Right now I would eat pretty much anything that you told me wouldn't make me start puking again.”
He caught the way her eyes lingered over his body before she turned away, and his smile gave way to the letch he had been fighting to suppress. Maybe it was a good thing he was so hungry because right now his stomach was winning out in the argument with his lower anatomy with regards to priorities. Later.... well, hadn't she said something about embracing his new life? Hall chuckled softly to himself as he followed Dels out into the labyrinth of tunnels. Maybe it was funny after all.

As she turned away she heard the faint sounds of movement behind her. She was glad for it. The hunger that gnawed at a newling was often so intense they seemed to go mad with it. She was fairly certain that while he was on that ledge he wasn't going to fall off of it. He would be a strong addition to the pack. As long as he could learn the pack hierarchy he would do well she thought as she lead him through a warren of tunnels, going further away from the lair.
"So, a few ground rules for you. Lukias is Alpha. An that translates into basically King. Don't piss him off and don't think you can kick his ass. You'll lose. Dmitrius is his second in command and formally called Beta. Don't mess with him either you'll get shredded. " She explained to him as she kept heading down one tunnel. It wouldn't do for him to get the hang of things only to make a error such as taking on one to those Lycans The damp musty smells started to fade into lighter scents faintly discernible, that drifted into the tunnels via the grates.
Delsenora looked back once in a while to see how he was doing. They were going a little farther out where the humans were plentiful and well it was safer for a new lycan to shift and grab a meal. They had a system in the underworld that keep the VSF and anyone else from figuring out what they were up to and their location. It hadn't taken her long to learn the ropes and she was going to assume that Hall wouldn't be to long in the learning of their ways either.
The air began to change more, as they neared the tunnel she was going to take. It would lead to that back part of a small city park, with lots of trees for coverage and nice little nooks where humans often stopped for a little privacy. She drew on her senses and pulled in a deep breath, scenting the atmosphere for what lay beyond the grate. The subtle smells of human sweat mingled with the fresh verdant smell of trees and other scents of vegetation. Her shoulders sank a little with a sigh that escaped from her. She missed the open green spaces of the hills her family had come through. It was one of the few things she missed, beside missing her family most of all.
The past was just that, the past. It was time to move forward.
Turning to Hall she slowly gave him a rather cocky smirk. "This is just one of the few locations we hunt at.. Rules about hunting. We never hunt from the same spot more then once in a lunar cycle. Always keep a sharp eye out for the VSF -Vampire Security Force.. they are sometimes day walkers or at least they wear protective gear and can be out in the sunlight. There are other beings that work for the fangers and will try and kill you. Best just to destroy them before they call for help.. " She explained to him further and waited for him to acknowledge that he understood what she was saying before going on.
She was just itching to shift herself now that she could smell the humans just within reach of becoming lunch. Having been turned during a time of travel Dels was fairly non discriminating when it came to picking a meal. A slight grumble came from her own stomach and it caused her to shiver slightly as the change caused the nerves under her skin to twitch in anticipation.
"Were going out there in a few short minutes. Do you have any other questions before we go?"

“Yeah, I got the thing with Lukias,“ Hall murmured. He still hadn't resolved exactly how he felt about the alpha, other than that attacking him had not even remotely crossed his mind. Kicking his ass? No way! That was not an ass that got kicked – loved, hated, admired or despised, but not kicked. Dmitrius on the other hand... “Beta? Dmitrius? The guy is a fucking ass-hole...” he muttered, “...him and his bitch...” Whilst Hall's recollections of the encounter were a little hazy he did quite definitely recall a lot of whining from the blonde and a lot of shoving him about, something that was guaranteed to get Hall's back up even on the best of days. Dmitrius was big, that was true, but he didn't seem that special to Hall.
He shrugged it off. The Beta lycan wasn't the one who had turned up at his door today, that had been the delightful Dels and she was definitely the superior company right now. Even with the distracting view of her well shaped behind just ahead of him, he made sure he paid attention to the route they were taking. If he needed someone to hold his hand every time he got hungry then he deserved to be called far worse than 'pup'. The labyrinth was going to take some getting used to though, but it got easier once they neared the surface, growing more akin to the gullies and ravines of the mountains.
He grinned back at Dels each time she glanced back to check on him. He wondered just how hard it would be to sneak up on a lycan. His own senses felt more acute than ever before but the plethora of information was just confusing him more than anything else, especially the scents. Sifting through the ambient for something more specific seemed like yet another skill set he was currently lacking. He had been a good hunter and scavenger before everything went literally to hell. He could learn how to do this too. After all hunting was hunting, how different could the principles be?
He was listening intently to Dels' instruction and even the cocky smirk just looked good on her rather than bugging him. “VSF? You mean the weirdos in the black uniforms?” Hall pulled a face even as he thought of them. “I saw one or two of those on my way in. They looked freaky and they stank even worse than the city...” He suddenly groaned audibly, the sound very close to a growl, the cramping pains in his stomach had returned in full force in response to the faint sweaty scents of human that drifted down into the tunnels. “Gods but it hurts...” he hissed as he wrapped his arms around his midriff. “Does it ever stop?”
He took a couple of deep breaths and straightened up again but with some effort. “OK so don't get spotted an' kill anything that tries to raise an alarm, gottit. Anything else to avoid?” The strain was starting to show through in his voice and perspiration began to beaded on his forehead. There was pain and hunger in his eyes and the tell-tale twitching of his skin that told of an immanent need to shift. He was young and it was going to hurt... a lot... and his body knew it. Parts of him wanted to fight the change other parts to embrace it, get it done as fast as possible. Fortunately or unfortunately, he had absolutely no idea how to do either...
“Don't fuck this up...” he breathed to himself.

Pausing to scent the air she listened to him with a half of ear. His little under the breath comments made her grin in the near darkness as she looked ahead of them. The tunnels were clear today. The rotten stench of warg was thankfully absent. It wouldn't do to run into any of that trouble today. She manged to choke back a snicker as he continued on and called Axelle a bitch.. Dels was fairly certain that the lycan in question would beg to differ on that but she didn't know him well enough to really argue with Hall's assessment.
She was relieved each time she looked back to see him grin in return. At least she hadn't bored him to death with some basic pack knowledge. It was well known to those that were pack or grew up within packs. Made Lycan's didn't usually have that in their repertoire of emerging skills.
"Yea, the weirdos in black. If it stank that bad it was more then likely a vamp. You'll find that they smell to high heaven." She added in confirmation of what he was saying. She turned to check on him as he groaned and watched carefully a moment. "Yes, it stops after a while. I promise it does." She told him and stopped and walked backed to him as he straightened back up. As he went over what she'd told him she found herself smiling, despite his pain he was able to pay attention that was a plus.
He wasn't going to make it very long without shifting, she assessed as his skin fairly twitched with his need to change. She couldn't take him out like this, he wouldn't have the control needed to be careful. Hell. Delsenora had been in this position twice before herself and could sympathize with his pain and need. The hunger rode you till nothing else mattered and when food was scarce it was even worse. "Pretty much, only you don't need to avoid anything.. I'm gonna leave you right here and bring dinner to you. Lukias would have my hide if anything happens while your with me." She added in explanation. Dels wasn't willing to risk the wrath of the Alpha. Frankly she wasn't willing to stick her neck out yet as she was new to the pack herself and she didn't want to lose another pack.
She could see that Hall wasn't going to be able to make it through a hunting foray without shifting and she didn't know if she could keep him steady enough that the VSF wouldn't come barreling down upon them and kill them both. Best to just get him a meal and take if from there. With a worried frown she looked him over and decided that her choice was the best option and he'd just have to live with it. After all it wasn't like he was going to be
"I'm gonna go grab our meal. You sit tight right here, I'm not gonna say don't change.. don't fight it though. It will hurt more." She told him and wondered if leaving him was gonna be a bad idea. Damn nothing like being between a rock and a hard spot. Did she risk leaving him if only for a few moments to grab a human and come back or did she stay and only have to leave him again while he was changed and likely to be uncontrollable. She'd have to shift herself as well in order to keep him somewhat at bay. Oh damn perhaps she'd bitten off more then she could chew after all. With a shake of her head to clear the doubts, Dels spun on her heel and dashed off at a full out sprint. Her bare feet made the softest of sounds as she did.
In less then a minute she was at the grate that would lead to the back side of the park. Peering through gave her a glimpse of lush over growth and a bench just 4 yards away from her. Her nose wrinkled as she picked out the musky smells of two humans In flagrante delicto. While she wasn't opposed to the act of being with another, humans were not something she'd care to watch. They were distracted and that would play in her favor. Something that she was most great full for tonight. Dels didn't want to leave Hall any longer then was absolutely necessary.
The grate opened with nary a sound and she slipped out. The grass felt cool and damp beneath her feet as she made her way quietly to the humans. She spared only a brief glance at the sky above and smiled sadly at the stars she could see. The task at hand drew her attention back to where it needed to be. Dinner. The man was pounding into the woman with grunts and shutters.. she almost laughed at how easy this was going to be. Dels reached out and tapped his naked shoulder. His eyes went huge with shock as her fist connected with his face and he fell over sideways. wasting no time she reached down and grabbed the woman's tangle of blond hair. The blond let out a sputter of protest that was silenced with a quick jerk of her head as Dels efficiently snapped her neck.
In only a few more minutes she had the woman slung over her shoulder and the man by the back of his hair. He didn't hardly weigh anything as she dragged him back into the tunnels. He let out a low moan of pain, which hastened her trip back to Hall.

Hal hadn't expected the cramping of his stomach to hit him quite that bad or fast and it had taken him a little by surprise. He had eaten some the previous night, actually keeping it down for the first time in days too, and for some reason he expected that to have helped, even though he was still hungry after. He guessed he should have known better. Dels was looking at him and he tried for another grin but another couple of steps and it hit him again. “It's OK, I got it,” he muttered as he straightened back up. That wasn't entirely the truth though, as he could feel his skin twitching and dancing beyond his control. He couldn't wait to just get out there and...
“What?!” Hall almost yelled as Dels told him she was going to leave him behind. “You said we were going outside...” his anger flared up again from nowhere, hot and sharp and with it his attempt at control lost ground. He was instantly growling again and the walls of the sewer tunnel seemed suddenly very close and getting closer. A small voice in the back of his head was telling him that Dels was right to not want to piss off Lukias, but the Alpha wasn't here and Hall was hungry and now angry, and rapidly losing focus.
Dels was staring at him now with concern and he glared back at her. He had no intention whatsoever of letting her ditch him like this, but the angrier he got the harder it became to argue coherently. He could feel something now twisting inside him like it wanted to claw its way out through his skin, except he was pretty sure that the 'something' was his own skeleton. It was going to happen again, that shifting. “No,” he growled, whether to himself or to Dels was not entirely clear.
Dels span around and sprinted off down the tunnel – Hall was livid. He roared and moved to pursue her but his legs buckled beneath him as the terrible tearing pain of the change swept over him. Bones shattered and reformed, flesh tore and organs crushed each other as they swelled to fill a shape Hall was still desperately struggling to assume. He screamed in agony, something which cut off sharply as the change progressed and was eventually replaced by a pained howl.
The freshly shifted lycan that was Hall, dragged itself growling and panting to its feet. There was still anger but more than ever now there was the hunger. The faint scents of human still trickled down into the sewer but nothing close, nothing in reach, and the morass of other foul scents was stifling. The tunnel felt like a trap and Hall latched on to the strongest, clearest scent he could recognise – the female lycan, and he set off after her at a lope.

The resounding howl she heard echoing off the tunnel walls was filled with a pain she had known herself all to well. He'd shifted. With a grunt she jerked the mans hair harder and drove herself to a faster pace. Her own hunger was boiling within her belly as she breathed in human flesh with every breath taken. The plaintive mewling noise that came from male made her cringe with disgust, and she tugged sharply again. The fresh scent of spilled blood caused her eyes to nearly roll back. Her hand grew wet as the humans scalp had tore apart in her hand. She turned back and snarled at him angry for no other reason then she could. The whites of his eyes were huge as he whimpered in fear and he stank of it as well. His fingers scratching at her arm and hand as she drug him along was merely like a bug that kept buzzing at her. Hall needed fresh meat and quicker then she would have assumed.
The sounds of pounding feet caused her to whip to attention, her eyes caught sight of Hall in lycan form barreling down upon her. He was built very well, all rip corded with muscles and sinew.. The pure animal instinct kicked her senses into over drive. Her eyes widened and then narrowed as reality sunk in. He'd mow her down in a heart beat and not think twice. A deep warning growl escaped as her body shivered in response to his aggressive scent. "F'me" she managed to curse and in hopes of heading him off at the pass so to say. Dels heaved the woman at him, tossing her a solid ten feet forward putting the clean kill between him and her. The fresh blood on her hand smearing across the woman's scant clothing. It left the heady scent in the air that should distract him.. she hoped.
With a growl of frustration she reached down and snapped the neck of the naked male and flung him in between Hall and herself as well. Skin twitching in anger and just a tinge of fear, she tried to keep from just exploding into form. She took a deep breath, as her bones began to break and reshape themselves. Organs expanded to fill the enlarged cavity of her rib cage as it bulged out ward. Dels groaned as she looked down, realizing she had not striped out of her outfit and it soon became shredded as the worn seams split apart. Her scared arm curled against her body protectively as the weaken muscles contracted and then elongated. The ruined flesh of it gleamed a dull white against the semi darkness of the tunnel. Head flung back she released a low throaty howl of pain that reverberated down her body as she panted from making the shift into lycan form. It was getting easier each time, but still left her just a bit shaky. Straightening to a more fully up right position she looked at him steadily. Her amber eyes aglow with a predatory gleam as the inner beast caught scent of fresh kill and virile male lycan before her.
Her mouth pulled back in a snarl as she faced him now. A low rumble of warning reverberated from her throat as she watched him. She was cautious with her movements. A newly made lycan had strength that was undisciplined and he could do her some serious damage without even realizing it. She could almost kick herself for taking on this task but she'd see it though. Hall needed to learn what his life was going to be like from now on. It wasn't gonna be sunshine and posies, better for him to learn it now then end up dead. She'd been taught to fight but she was not a strong fighter due to her weakened arm. It was the last thing she'd want to do if it could be avoided. Coming back to the den bloodied from fighting would raise more questions then she'd care to answer if it could be avoided.

The scent of fresh blood was wafting down the tunnels toward Hall and it was that scent that now drove him forward in his headlong charge. His hunger had become everything and satisfying it was the only thought that still bounced around inside his heavy muzzled head. Whilst Hall had not yet had the opportunity afforded the born Lycan to grow into the heavier bulk of the typical Lycan form, what he had from his leaner build was agility and speed and he tore towards the scent of prey like the devil himself were at his heels. To his unpractised olfactory senses Del's scent was entirely lost beneath the overwhelming scent of food.
Hall rounded a turn, practically bouncing of the wall in his haste before his eyes locked onto the figures moving in the gloom ahead of him. His brain had no opportunity to unravel the scene before Dels had hurled the first body at him. With a snarl Hall leapt at the flying body intercepting it mid-air and his ragged canine jaws snapped shut vice-like on its throat. He bore it heavily to the ground beneath him, shattering bones before he tore out the throat. He was momentarily confused and frustrated at the lack of the forceful pumping of blood that a living, beating heart would have fountained into his mouth, but the body was warm and bloody and he was hungry.
The second body landed with a meaty thud but Hall's ice-pale eyes were now on the amber eyed female Lycan who growled warningly at him. He growled back, his teeth still locked in the throat of the woman's body, unwilling to relinquish his meal. Slowly he began to back away down the corridor, dragging the body with him. The female could have the other but this one he would fight for. As the distance stretched between them Hall's growls slowly trailed off, and once he was confident he had sufficient space to defend his prize he released his hold on the throat and with a hungry snarl he tore open the belly and began to gorge on the rich bloody organs within.

She watched with approval as he bore the female human to the ground and didn't seem to mind it wasn't kicking and screaming. Had she thought he'd last a little longer it would have been but this would stem his hunger for now. She chuffed softly as he tore into the meal before, the smell of fresh blood and meat caused her to shiver from head to foot. Stomach clenching in hunger she cautiously made her way to the naked male and dragged him back a short distance.
Dels was unwilling to let Hall out of her sights completely so ate quickly, wolfing down large bits of flesh and sinewy tendons. The warm blood filled her mouth and dribbled down a corner as she greedily consumed her victim. With a snarl she tore into the thick meat of thigh and popped the hip bone from the socket. Leg in hand she sat on her haunches and looked down at Hall to see him before continuing. Her hunger soon abated to nothing and she kept eating, unwilling to give up the meal even as she was getting fuller by the minute.
Finally when she could consume no more. Dels took stock at what was left. It would be enough perhaps to feed a few of the cubs. If the pup wasn't still hungry. Her head tipped back and she scented the tunnel for him. Her vision while keen could make him out only a few yards from where she was. She felt sorry he'd reached a point of almost being feral over a meal. Without hesitating a moment longer she scooped up the remaining half of her human and inched closer to him.
Not wanting to startle him into attacking her, she made sure her foot steps were noisy enough that he'd hear her approach and when she was just out of his range she placed the remains down for him. Nosing them towards him before, backing away from them. Her demeanor was non threatening. Dels wasn't sure how he'd take them but she was getting out of range should he decide she was to close to his meal. Her eyes were luminous as she watched him patiently and quietly without judgement.

It had been five days since Hall became a lycan and changed for the first time, and since then he had been without real food. It was not entirely Cly's fault that Hall had not known how to assuage his hunger, he had even caught and tried to eat a small desert animal early in his flight across the wasteland which the older lycan might well have assumed he would. But Hall had already turned on the demon that had cornered him during his escape and its poisonous blood had been coursing through his system for days after. Though he had no memory of the event that had caused his sickness it had eaten away at him such that only fresh human flesh could provide him with what he needed.
The scant leftovers of the previous night had been just enough to keep him going, but he was still starved and ravenous. Though he did not yet know it, Hall would always need to partake regularly of human flesh, not just to be sated but to live. Right now however he could feed his hunger to satiation. He kept a wary eye on the other lycan as he buried his muzzle in the blood and nutrient rich organs of his prey, consuming the best first. His stomach was not yet adjusted to a predator's gorge and fast lifestyle and so he left more of the body than his hunger would have indicated he might. He would be hungry again in a few hours, but that was later and he had another hunger to sate.
Slowly he turned his attention to the female lycan who sat calmly watching him with her glowing amber eyes. He licked the blood from his face and the scent of female began to creep insistently into his awareness. He growled softly, more out of curiosity than anything. Hall was recovering more of himself by the moment now the hunger and the pain had abated. The feel and balance of his lycan form was still somewhat alien to him but it was also beginning to feel good. He felt strong and invigorated and very, very aroused. He rose to his feet, stepping over the half eaten bodies as he moved towards the female with an expression which on a human face might have been a grin.
He growled again as he moved up close to her, instinctively sniffing at the air around her, catching her scent the better to memorise it. Then suddenly he grabbed for her...

She would have frowned if a lycan's mouth was able. He left much of the meal she'd tossed his way. Her skin bristled with frustration that he not fill himself more. She was about to step further back and give him more room when he started stepping over the remains. Tilting her head slightly to the left she watched him eyes narrowing as he drew nearer.
Wary, and unsure of what he was about a low growl, sounding much like a rumbling purr emanated from her. His scenting the air confused her, could he not know who she was already. Had his hunger over ridden such a basic thing as scent recognition. The heat and musky male scent of him filled her nose and caused a spear of liquid heat rush into her core. Causing an immediate reaction, her pupils dilated as a hot wave of arousal washed over and through her body. Dels shivered as she stepped back not nearly fast enough. His clawed hand came close, so close that it left the barest whisper of touch as she back pedaled into the darkness. Her breathing came in fast pants blowing her concentration all to hell. A new hunger flared within her that had nothing to do with taking sustenance from food but everything to do with feeding a more primal hunger of physical contact.
She whined shaking her head from side to side slowly and took another half step backwards. She was mesmerized, a hunted animal caught in the intensity of his stare. The hunter was not accustomed to becoming the hunted. Dels was very much aware that he intended to make a meal of her in his own way. With a yelp of panic she turned and sprinted for the darkness...
