The little coyote trotted down the sidewalk behind the tall vampire, moving at an unsettling pace. The human population was used to seeing a vampire move at blinding speed but not one followed by a little mongrel canine wearing a backpack. To many, it was such an odd site that they stopped, pointed and chatted about it. Xackrya ignored it and stayed on the heel of his new master. He could not wait for a real bed to rest his head. He was exhausted. He knew the vampire didn't care about that, he had already made it plain that Xackrya's needs meant little in comparison to his own.
The little coyote had not spent much time in the populated parts of the city. He stayed in hiding when he could and only went to work where he was able to pick up his credits and his lunch each day. The credits, he saved in his backpack every day, hoping to one day buy a little apartment since it wasn't free to mutants, which he told the vampires he was, and he was not comfortable staying in the rooms provided to the workers. He felt safer in his cave and quite nearly wanted to go running back to the place at that very moment.
Xackrya watched very carefully where they were going and got more and more uncomfortable as they approached the largest casino in the city. He began to lag behind until he was soon standing still with one paw in the air, frozen in fear. He suddenly felt himself scooped up into strong arms and let out a frightened yelp but soon realized it was his new master and relaxed. He was so tired, he would rather be carried anyway, and while a coyote, his back never hurt. He leaned into his master, looking about himself with wide frightened eyes. There were just too many people here; too many blood eaters.
The next thing he knew they were walking through impressive glass and gold doors, supported by marble. It was surely a palace. He had not been indoors in a very long time and his nerves were getting the better of him. He leaned into his master, trembling with fear and the need to run but oddly, he felt safe in his masters arms so there would be nowhere to run.
"Dr. Meztli, you need to register your pet, sir." he heard someone call out. He turned his head into Cal's chest as they paused, he wasn't looking so he didn't know what for. He was too nervous to hear anything anyone said until his attention was demanded. He whined when someone stroked his back and commented on how soft he was.He looked up at Cal with a pleading look, telling him he didn't want to be around all these people, they were making him very nervous. He turned his head at the touch of a hand on his nose and saw a young woman smiling at him. He quickly gave her hand a soft lick then tucked his head between his own body and Cal. He had shown politeness and restraint, his reward should be a soft bed and a night of rest.
He felt Cal moving again and kept his head hidden until it suddenly got quiet. He turned his head out again to see that they were in a long hallway, standing in front of metal doors. An elevator... now he was more worried, there was no escape from an elevator and Xack knew not to ever let himself get trapped. He whined as they entered it, listening to Cal's soft words of comfort. How was he ever going to live in a place like this? He was used to open spaces with the smell of grass and water and the night sky with shining stars above him. This was an adventure he wished to skip.

Cal was trying his best not to frighten Xackrya further than he already had but he was also aware that he seemed to be failing miserably at it. His attempt to allow the coyotl a little freedom by letting him follow under his own power did not seem to have alleviated his apprehension at all and when he had frozen up entirely Cal had been forced to pick him up and carry him the rest of the way. Other than himself he had no real idea exactly what it was that the little coyote was so afraid of.
When the receptionist at Valhalla made the assumption that Xack was simply a pet it saved Cal the trouble of having to decide exactly what he could get away with saying. Xack was officially a mutant so many of the rules regarding humans did not really apply; if Xack claimed to be human however, that could be awkward for Cal to say the least. Human pets were just not allowed. Given however that his earlier defiance had dissolved into a frightened whine, Cal thought it unlikely that Xack would try to flee from him to seek help from another.
He held the small creature gently, still marvelling at the transformation from man to coyote, and tried to pet it reassuringly. He murmured to Xack in their ancient tongue, promising him that he would keep him safe from all things. The fear rolling off of Xack was disconcerting and Cal was relieved when he finally arrived back at his suite and could close the door behind him and drop the little coyote onto a couch. Almost one whole wall of the room was glass, with sliding doors that opened out onto a balcony. Cal had left the glass doors open when he went out and the room was fresh with the night air.
“Now coyotl, show me again that you are also a man. I would speak with you before you sleep.” Cal instructed Xack. He was having a hard time not making everything he said sound like an order, at least in part because most of it was. “Do you require more food or drink?” he asked, grasping for some small way to express concern for Xack's well-being.

Xack was glad to be out of the crowd of people in the lobby and casino area's. The elevator was not as bad as he thought since they were on it for less than a minute before they were off of it again. While it was more anxiety than fear that he felt due to the proximity of other people, he was quite ecstatic that they were now behind a closed door.
From the couch, he looked at the Vampire with tired eyes. It was time to shift back but this was the part he hated about shifting. His back was going to protest greatly to take on the markings once more. While a coyote, the markings were only a faint darkening of the fur on his back, almost imperceptible to the human eye. But as a man, it was a never healing wound. He jumped off the couch and wiggled and flexed until he got the backpack to slip off onto the floor. He looked to to balcony and decided the air would be cooler there and trotted out onto it. He felt the cool marble stone floor of it and was satisfied that this was where he would shift.
The shift back to human went much slower for Xack as his body first began to grow then transform. First his head, arms and legs snapped and grew. The fur faded away and he took on the features of a man. His face contorted in pain as his torso began to shift. He cried out in agonizing pain as the markings etched into his back as if some invisible hammer was methodically, yet quickly driving red hot shards into his soft, human skin.
Once transformed, his shaking, sweatcovered body collapsed the rest of the way to the floor where he rolled over onto his back so the cold floor soothed the steaming heat rising from his etched skin. His breathing came quickly and he closed his eyes, taking in great gasps, trying to recover his breath. He pained eyes turned to Cal, "Yes...please..." he answered about food and drink. The meals the vampires provided for the work crew were balanced and nutritious, but never enough.
Once the marble floor warmed from his back, he rolled over on his side and let the air blow over the painful markings. He would recover quickly because he was used to it. "May, I have water?" he asked so he could pour it down his back, not drink it. Once he knew where to obtain water, he would drink but for now..."I need to put out the fire." he murmured.

Cal watched Xack carefully in eager anticipation as he began to shift back to his human form. The transformation from man to coyote had fascinated him and he wanted to see how the opposite transformation worked. It disturbed him to realise that the swift and graceful transformation to a coyote did not seem to work so smoothly and painlessly in the reverse direction. He was annoyed with himself that it seemed he had once again inadvertently caused Xackrya more pain. He badly needed to know more about this man and the nature of his blessing and curse.
The ancient markings reappeared on Xack's skin like a blossoming wound and his pained cries stole away most of the eroticism of seeing his naked glistening body once again stretched out in the moonlight. Cal could feel the burning heat that seemed to radiate from Xack's flesh and he understood why he was asking for water. For a moment he thought of simply picking the man up and carrying him through to the bathroom but he was becoming more and more convinced that any such attempt would prove even more painful to his captive.
He simply nodded to Xack and went back inside. Picking up the phone he called down for food and drink to be sent up for Xack. He had no idea what the man liked and so simply selected a few of the pleasant items that would not have been available in the food-packages that the mutant workers received and a bottle of red wine. He also ordered a large glass of warm blood for himself and on a sudden whim he also requested an ice-bucket. Then filling a water-jug from the tap in the bathroom he went back outside onto the balcony.
“Lie still,” he murmured to Xack, and crouching down beside him he gently began to pour the water from the jug over the hot flesh of Xack's back. The cool water was practically steaming as it rolled over his skin and Cal was glad he had thought about the ice. He stopped when the jug was half empty and placed it on the floor beside Xack. “Come inside when you are ready.” he said gently and returned to wait in the suite. The food arrived quickly and Cal sat cross-legged on the couch sipping at his glass of blood and waited for Xack to come to him.

Xack had no blame to place on the vampire this time as he knew the vampire did not know it would hurt him to shift back and he had chosen to shift in the first place, knowing it would hurt to shift back. The respite had been welcome, for as a coyote, he felt no pain from the markings. It was as if he were to be punished for being a man.
The vampire's tenderness as he poured water over Xack's back was humbling for him. He thought that perhaps the vampire had a heart after all. The water cooled the markings quickly, causing the buring pain to disipate. Cold water was just about the only thing to soothe it, other than vampire blood. That was ironic since he was supposed to avoid the blood eaters.
Slowly Xack stood and let the cool night air cool his back. Soon the rest of his damp body began to take on a chill and he shivered. It was time to go inside and face what the vampire had in store. He turned boldly and walked into the room. He stopped just in front of the vampire and looked down at him. "What will you have of me...master." he asked pridefully. He may be a slave to the vampire now, but he didn't have to like it.
He knew by the way the vampire had not been able to resist him in his cave, that standing there with nothing on, his body long, lean. strong and nude would cause the vampire pause but what reaction would he have? He would soon find out.

Cal wasn't good at waiting and it was taking him considerable effort to simply stay still and give Xack time to recover and adjust to his situation. The Casino was clearly overwhelming to him and not in a good way. Cal himself could take it or leave it. His choice of luxuries were the sensual variety and if he had those he could be content in far more modest surroundings than a suite at the Valhalla. Appearances however had needed to be maintained and it had been convenient to stay here whilst he had been waiting for his audience with Thor. Now that was done with he could find somewhere in the city to take up a more permanent residence.
It surprised Cal a little that he was not more impatient to begin his work with the calender; he was not generally easily distracted once he had set his mind to a task. This task however was not what it had first seemed and his mind had focused not on the calender as an object of research, but on the man as... as what he was not quite sure. A possession? That was for certain. He had known from the first moment he had set eyes on him in the moonlight that he must have him, possess him, make love to him, claim him. But it was not enough, he wanted more from Xack than just another slave. He needed to resolve exactly what he wanted from Xack before he could focus on anything else.
A smile quirked at Cal's lips at Xack's dignified and prideful entrance. Cal could always appreciate spirit, pride and courage be it from friend or foe. He took another deep draught of the blood to steady himself. Xack's body, freed now from the more obvious afflictions of pain was every bit as intoxicating as before in the Sanctuary. Thoughts and desires raced through his mind; how he longed to chase this man down through a forest, to throw him down in the undergrowth and make love until he screamed his pleasure. Cal exhaled sharply fighting to control his lusts and to concentrate on the here and now despite the way his body screamed at him for satisfaction.
“Sit.” he finally managed to say, indicating a seat beside which the room service trolley was parked. His voice sounded wrong to him, still hoarse with his desire, but he ploughed on determinedly. “Firstly, you may call me Cal.” Master was what his Blood-slaves called him and Cal wanted no confusion on that score. Not that he had any intention of elaborating his thoughts or plans to slaves but it needed to be clear to them that Xackrya was not one of them. “Secondly, I wish you to take care of your needs.” and he indicated the small trolley with its contents. “When you are in need you will tell me and I will see that it is attended to. Do you understand?” Cal knew that his own needs tonight were going to take some considerable sating later.

Xackrya was torn between listening to the vampire and playing with his desires. The vampire was so obviously torn between making good on his promise to take care of Xack and his desire to jump his bones. Having the heart of the coyote, he could not help the pangs of mischief he felt inside him. He could torture this vampire the same way the vampire could torture him.
Xack stepped closer to Cal with one corner of his mouth turned up slightly. “As you wish, Cal.” He purred seductively before turning around and walking slowly to the cart of food. He took his sweet time, giving the vampire ample view of his amazing derriere. He pulled the chair back turned it so that when he sat, he was facing Cal. He let his legs fall apart so that Cal could view the long, semi-erect organ he sported.
He looked over at the plates of food on the cart and selected a succulent strawberry. He looked directly at Cal as he opened his mouth slowly and brought the piece of fruit to his lips. Slowly he wrapped his lips around it, biting into the tender fruit. As the red juice from the fruit dribbled down his chin he let his tongue lick out and clean the juice from his chin. His finger came up to wipe the final drop from the end of his chin. Slowly he stuck his finer in his mouth and sucked the juice from it. He drew his finger from his mouth with a soft pop before repeating the action with the second half of the strawberry. “Mmm, I like strawberries.” He purred.
Xack turned back to the cart and picked up a banana, “Do you like to watch me eat?” he asked seductively as he began to slowly peel the banana without looking at Cal.

Cal's resolve to restrain his desires was being sorely tested by this amazing creature. In just the few moments he had been on the balcony it seemed he had shed his anxieties and was now 100% sensuality personified. The seductive purr that came into his voice as he spoke Cal's name was all by itself enough to rouse his desires and they needed no further rousing with that perfect golden-skinned body stood so close to him. The chill of the night air had raised the fine sun-bleached hairs over Xack's skin and Cal was reminded how smooth that skin was and how hard and toned the muscles were that rippled beneath it as he moved. If Cal had remembered to take a breath after he last spoke he might have been groaning with his desire right then.
The perfectly rounded buttocks that Xack presented quite provocatively to him as he bent to examine the food almost undid his resolve altogether and for a moment he could not for the life of him think why he should not just take the man then and there. Cal considered himself a disciplined man and had practised self restraint in many things... but his carnal desires were not something he had often had much cause to deny himself. His lust for this man went beyond anything he had felt before and having sampled him once it had not sated but fanned the flames of his need. His clenched his fist hard as he caught himself from reaching to pull the man back into his aching lap.
His own state of extreme arousal was quite blatant by the time Xack sat down and the playful state of his impressive manhood had Cal's mind again racing with thoughts of the delights he had not yet tasted. The sight of Xack's plump pink lips stained red with the sweet berry juice drew a gasp from him and his tongue flickered out over his own lips in sympathetic reaction. His feeding fangs began to slide out, a not so gentle reminder to him that he had not properly fed tonight other than the glass of blood that he had not even noticed himself finishing. It should have been enough but it wasn't.
Xack was very clearly taunting him and proud though he was he would have to confess it was working. His body was tense as a wound spring and his loins were aching and swollen almost beyond endurance. Cal struggled unsuccessfully to withdraw his fangs, succeeding only in preventing them from extending more fully. It was a small victory but he was losing ground fast. “Very much so...” Cal hissed under his breath, his eyes tracking Xack's every move. Xackrya was more than just a man; the Coyotl was still within him and the trick was on Cal. This had become a game of control and though he was the master and Xack the slave it was one he knew that in the next few moments he was about to lose.

((Nice, you held your ground, and I will hold mine...see if you can resist...THIS! Muahahaha!!!))
Xack was surely testing the waters with this Vampire to see just how far he could push him. Not only that, he knew that the night would not end for him until the sun came up or they had made love again so this game would either last until the Vampire fell asleep or until he could not take it anymore and took Xack by force again, only not so much force because Xack wanted it anyway. He was just so exhausted, rough play may well be too much for him, but then at least he could sleep, warm and dry and hopefully wrapped in the safety of Cal's arms with the knowlege that no one would be sneaking up on him in his sleep. He sighed as he bit into the banana, slowly, in a way that was meant to torture the poor vampire.
If it were possible to make love by proxy, using food, that is exactly what Xackrya was doing. Every bite, every lick was as sensual as it could possibly get. Every now and then, he would give Cal a 'come and get me' look and lick his lips slowly. "I was so hungry." he said as he finally finished eating. While he knew he had been torturing his vampire, he had also aroused himself fully. He simply got up and walked over to the couch, sitting against the arm of it, facing Cal and once again let his legs fall apart.
"Are you hungry?" he asked seductivly and rubbed the inside of his thigh, "I hear Vampires like to feed from here." he quipped softly and grinned evilly at Cal. "I've heard a lot about when a Vampire feeds from here." he drew a circle with his finger over his femaral artery. He suddenly slapped his hand over the spot on each leg, covering the most accessible part of his inner thighs.
"You say to tell you if I am in need?" he asked with a mischievous grin, one eyebrow raised, "I need you to say please." he knew if the vampire complied, he would immediately remove both hands and let him at the artery of his choice.

Cal was not sure quite how he managed to hold himself in check throughout Xack's meal. It certainly wasn't by ignoring the way he made it into an erotic show for an audience of one with the slow and sensual manner in which he ate, making every lick and bite into foreplay. Cal had not been able to tear his eyes away from him for even a moment; he wasn't even sure if he had blinked at all throughout. His blood felt as if it were on fire and his fists had clenched tightly enough so as to have left a row of small cuts across his palms where his nails had dug in deep enough to draw his own blood. Twice now he had spilled his own blood rather than the Xack's and he was fast running out of control. His attempts at restraint only seemed to incite yet more wanton provocation from the coyotl and he was frustrated now to the point that he no longer even knew exactly what it was he wanted from him. Cal had very carefully avoided thinking about feeding from Xack all night. He had refrained in the coyotl's cave and it had been his intention to continue to do so... had been, past tense, past intent. The way Xack moved closer to him and presented his now fully aroused body for Cal's perusal was just too much. He could both see and hear the blood pulsing through Xackrya's body; carotid artery, brachial artery... femoral artery... Was Xack a mutant? Was he cursed? Cal didn't know and it was getting harder to think the more he watched Xack's perfect body; his firm thighs and shapely member were becoming an obsession and Cal groaned as he realised his feeding fangs were now fully extended and he would need to feed on fresh flesh and blood if he was to sleep at all this coming day. The tension in Cal snapped and the distance between himself at Xack vanished in less than a heartbeat. Cal was quite suddenly so close to Xack that the hairs on their skin touched. Their green eyes met, Cal's burning fiercely with his unquenched ardour, and he growled lustfully, his lips mere millimetres from Xack's. “Pleasssse...” he hissed. ((You know where the rest is.... ))
