For some reason Hall had not expected the female to run and he hesitated a moment bemused at her yelp of fear before his frustration surfaced again and he howled long and loud. He could scent the females arousal, it hung tormentingly in the air, lingering on the walls where she had pressed herself to dodge him. Her scent called to him even stronger than the hot fresh blood of the kill. He scented again searching for her, her footsteps already faded to confusing echoes, just one sound amongst the many that assailed his senses. Too much information hindering his chase.
The mad rush of instinct beginning to fade he started to feel clumsy again. He was annoyed with himself that he had let Dels get out of sight before he pursued her, this place and these senses were confusing him hopelessly in trailing her. Away from her compelling scent, away from the fresh kill and his hunger sated for now, and rapidly becoming lost, Hall found himself falling back into his more familiar human form. Once again he was torn between fighting the change and embracing it but once it began the only thought he clung to was trying to stifle his screams.
Panting heavily he regained his feet, human again yet his senses still sharper than ever before. He could still scent Dels, not as well but her trail was still there and with his senses dulled he found interpreting the information actually a little easier. Her scent grew stronger and started the lusty stirrings again in his groin. Now he guessed he would find out just how hard it was to sneak up on a lycan, except.... he snarled angrily as he scented Dels and what was unmistakably another male lycan....
