Sydney walked along the pavement, she was trying to take her mind away from all the things that were... not haunting her but playing on her mind at the current time. She was still coming to terms with how her life seemed to have flipped 180 degrees in such a short space of time.
She sighed and slowed outside a shop. She looked in the window, looking at but not seeing the stock on display. She was sinking into herself, something she tended to do more since her father had died. In the safety and safety of her own home, it wasn't so bad. But when it happened out in the open like this, it really wasn't good. Her mind faced, flashing back to when she had found out about her father.
The sounds from the real world around her slowly broke their way through the flashback and she blinked, raising a hand to her temple as if to steady herself. She mentally shook her head, trying to get rid of the memories she had just relived.
After a few moments, Sydney sighed softly and lowered her hand from her temple. She turned her head, as if checking to see no one had witnessed her moment of... Madness? No, that was too strong. A moment of dreaming as her father would say, yes, she though, smiling softly to herself. That would be what it was.
She took a deep breath and started off, walking down the pavement once more, back the way she had come. She had been rather bored at home, but right now, after what had just happened, she needed the safety it offered her. Away from the world.
Someone stepped infront of her and she stopped, barely managing to do so in time. She looked up at him, unable to even tell him to watch where he was going, her mind was still muddled.
