Casual dress jeans, skirts things that she is comfortable in. Dressing up when she wants to look good for Nathan.
Attitude: Amanda is not the not the same woman whom she used to be. All smiles and brightness when she is at work, and because she can be close to Nathan. Very much, the social butterfly she thoroughly enjoys being around people and her friends. However, when she was home alone she used to drink a lot becoming depressed with the void that seemed to fill her life. After taking a step back and looking at herself in the mirror she tries not to be that way now. At present, she seeks fresh ways to keep herself submerged in the life that she has chosen to live within New Vegas.
Abilities: Amanda has always been able to freeze things, When she was young, she had a hard time controlling her powers and often found that she was isolated and alone. Her touch is like liquid nitrogen when she releases her power. Instantly freezing whatever she touches and directs her power to in its place. As she grew up she became better able to control her touch and to keep from harming those she loves. It was not without incidents during the past. She still has some moments when she looses her temper or her emotions get the best of her, and she looses control. Nathan has a way of calming her and bringing her back but even then there are times she becomes frustrated with herself and caught in her memories.
Weaknesses: Amanda's emotions often get the better of her if she is particularly angry she has a tendency to lose control of her power and has to fight to reign it in. Resulting in debilitating headaches, tremors, and nose bleeds. She also has a weakness to the heat depending on how hot it gets her power will sometimes stall or take longer to work under certain conditions.
She hates when she has upset or pushed Nathan, being away from him though makes her sad and very lonely. To a point that she will become depressed even. Being the social butterfly that she is she needs constant companion ship. If not she's known for trying things that might give her an adrenaline rush or scare. Still fighting her alcoholism from her depression. It's something that is always there taunting her, and one has to wonder when she might just fall off the wagon. Yes, she's done it before there is a chance, she might do it again.
History: Amanda was born and raised in Haven, The apple of her father's eye and the joy in her mother's heart. The start of her childhood was fairly normal. She played and laughed with other kids and got along with most in her home. It wasn't until her teen years when she started to go through puberty that things started to take a turn for the worse. Amanda started noticing odd little changes about herself. How it seemed that the heat seemed to make her feel more sluggish than others.
Tired and worn out usually more active at night in the cool desert air. Her mother was a nurse and when Amanda spoke to her about the strange feelings, she was having; her mom thought perhaps she was becoming sick, Keeping an eye on her helping to run a few tests; she was surprised to find that she could find nothing truly wrong with her daughter. So they let it pass.
Growing up in Haven everyone knows that there will come a time that you will lose one or both of your parents, friends, family. Someone close to you will disappear. For Amanda, it was her father. Leaving on a patrol one day they never returned. This drove her mother into a deep depression. Leaving her to depend upon Amanda for a long time.
This was a lot of stress for a young girl, barely in her teens and trying to take care of herself and her mother. Amanda struggled to make ends meet picking up odd jobs and things about Haven in order to make up for the work that her mother was missing. It was late one night while Amanda had been out late after helping out at one of the mess halls that she ran across a man who had been drinking. Thinking he would have himself a little fun, he forced Amanda into a side alley threatening her with a knife.
Feeling the cold anger bubble up in her a cool current of power she fought against the man as he tried to cut loose her pants. At first, she shoved him; nothing happened her hands had made contact with his shirt. Second as she gathered all the power in her all her anger, she shoved him again. Just as he jabbed forward. His knife struck her in the lower abdomen, and where her hands lay upon his flesh, she noticed the rapid change to his skin; His scream stifled as his whole body froze. This scared her unsure of what was going on and what happened. She ran back to her mother. Who at the site of her daughter and the dangerous wound fought to heal her daughter.
Once the bleeding was staunched she asked Amanda what happened as Amanda explained her mother became scared she did not want others to become afraid of Amanda, Telling her to tell no one and teaching her to be careful of what she did the two hid the secret of what had happened. Never confessing to her being the one that committed the murder of the man. Together the two worked to learn what caused Amanda's special talent and how she could control it. All the while keeping it hidden.
Amanda finally grew up; Her mother died, and she became a soldier for haven. Never using her talent outside of with her mom, and as she learned to control it better and what set her off. Which were her emotions. She often traveled out with others on recons and other missions. Always curious of New Vegas and what it would have been like to grow up in a place where you could feel safe from the Zombies and sickness. Where things seemed so much simpler.
Her curiosity got the better of her Amanda prepared for what she would do. Getting herself A New Vegas identity and setting up everything secretly. She waited until the day she was to go out with the recon. Slowly, she wandered off from her fellow recon party; she knew that they would report her back to Haven as missing/dead. However, it was ok she had nothing, and no one left there. Intending to find her own way into New Vegas and begin a new life.
Amanda had set herself up in New Vegas living her new life and trying to find a way that she could and would fit in with the others. Things had been going as well as they could be, and much like every time she really needed something she scavenged like others. Deciding to go out past the walls and check to see what she could find she had been moving around the rubbish. There in she found him, He lay among the trash like a discarded doll. Perfect and untouched. Scared she approached him looking for a sign of being bitten or the fact he was going to turn at any moment.
The man she found was Nathaniel. Her hand was inches from his face when his eyes opened. Scaring her, she stood frozen transfixed by the man before her. Once she established he was no danger to her; she helped him up, Taking him into the city with her. She found them both a home, and took up a job to help take care of them while he recovered. Once she could secure him a new identity she started to realize she was falling in love with him. Amanda didn't care what it took she wanted to make him happy. So she joined in the search to help him find his brother. Her old life in haven nothing but a past but sometimes the horror of what she had done the life she had taken still haunts her.

Rp Sample: Tonight was a night like usual. Amanda found herself home without Nathaniel. The glitter of the city lights glowed through the window as she curled up on the couch. Part of her knew she needed to put down the glass. As she clinked the ice around the scotch, she had found that she thought Nathaniel had gotten rid of was a rich hue as she stared at it. Her past was haunting her again. She could still see the face of the man frozen in fear. Hear his last breath as his lungs refused to move, and then the shatter of his body as he was pushed over into the ground hitting the hard pack of the earth and spreading into pieces. A shiver ran down her spine.
Shaking her head the glass was lifted to her lips as she tossed it back. Wishing that she would have been at work with Nathan or out with her friends. Anywhere but alone here with her thoughts and her past to haunt her. Part of her wondered if her father had just left, then came here and started over like she had, or if he had been lost and sucked up into the wastes. Eaten and gorged upon by the living dead in their relentless search for flesh. Shaking her head she shoved up and moved towards the counter.
Perhaps she could drink herself into a stupor. Then the guilt over the fact she was drinking hit her, and she walked toward the sink. Pouring out the contents of the glass and the bottle into the sink. Walking towards the bathroom she flicked on the lights and stared at herself in the mirror. What the hell was she doing? Her hands brushed up through her long hair as she pushed it out of the way. Staring at her features, she could see the likeness of her mother and realized that she was falling into that same depression her mother had long ago.
"I'm better than this." Angrily, she turned on the water. Feeling it wasn't gold enough she let her fingertips barely brush so that it cooled a lot. Then dipping down she brushed the now icy water up into her face and started forcing herself to sober up. Sickened by her own weakness this night. No more would she allow herself to be this way or a burden on Nathaniel. It worried her that she may have caused him disappointment. She forced herself to clean up and clean herself up before she gathered her things and headed out into the night. There was something anything she could do that would be better than drinking during this time.
