The serpentine sway of Malach was enthralling. Like a field mouse entranced by a snake Nora's eyes dilated a little, and she smiled swaying innocently before him as she had made that wish. Faintly, she had heard the mention of adventures beyond the wall and as the trail of his words his anger came like a storm. So quickly his rage contorted his features that it snapped her out of the trance, he had slipped her into causing her to gasp. Her hand shifted with a jerk and the beautiful flower he had given her of jewels tumbled towards the hard stone floor of the cave they were in. As she took quick steps back from him. The flower hit and ground with the tinkle of jewels.
Nora looked at him in fear for a moment before the lines of her features hardened, and she actually bucked up to him. Stepping back towards the Djinn as he roared his anger at her with rage, she stared him down. Her hands placed on her hips, and she planted her feet firmly. "Are you quite finished?!" Yelling back at him now but her voice held the calm cool collection of the tides of water. " You just got done saying that Djinn do not make rules. You prefer to break them. However, here you are making a rule on saying what I can and cannot wish for. So you were wrong. There are rules or guidelines that I have to follow in order for the wish to be valid. " Her eyes narrowed as she watched him now.
"I am not stupid either. The wish may have been stupidly made, but it was done with blind judgement and only because I liked you and wanted to help you as you asked. " She frowned as she turned from him. "So I don't waste your time or mine. How about you give me the things I can't wish for. " She turned from him then casting a side glance at him as she saw the flower on the floor. Her eyes saddened, and she gasped. " Ohhh! Oh no no no." the shiney not the shiney object! Please don't let it be damaged, she thought as she quickly hurried to where the jewel flower had fallen and knelt to carefully start to scoop it up.
Crazy djinn, a furtive glance cast his way. She knew now though that she should perhaps be skeptical of him that not all pretty packages were gentle and kind. What was that saying her mother use to say? Now she started to rack her brain for it. Don't judge a dog by its bite? No no. that wasn't it... don't judge a book by its cover. That was it. Malach was definitely a pretty covered book, but something warned the Kelpie that she might be getting in over her head with the lovely, sweet smelling, deliciously handsome Djinn. Pushing up from the floor, she cradled the flower in her hand and moved to a flattened rock area that looked like a lounge or seat where she settled and began to inspect the gift and make sure that nothing was broken or damaged.
