The strong chin of a man who had spent his entire life bringing women to their knees pushed high in the air. Gabriel Kingman didn't have moments of weakness like this, no, never not a chance....Who was he kidding? Not himself, and certainly not Angelique. Whatever he was feeling should be shoved aside, he had a business to run, didn't he? Exactly, and that came first.
As the seductive vampire slid from his lap, her own face a mask of defiance, the man began to button his shirt again, but quickly realised that the garment was ruined. No amount of dry cleaning would get the stains of the lowly youngling's blood from it, and he saw no point in keeping it. Gabriel removed the bloodied cloth and threw it in a nearby trash can, a scowl on his lightly tanned face.
His own blood still leaked slowly from his neck, but the council member saw no problem with it, the wound would heal in less than an hour anyway.
As Angelique walked away Gabe sighed again, but his face didn't show the sadness that lurked behind his hazel eyes. "Bitch...." He murmured, quiet enough that Angelique wouldn't hear him.
Moments later the strip club owner was in front of him once more, and the council member feared that he had angered her with his comment, but then her lips were pressed tightly to his, and his mind wandered elsewhere. As soon as the moment came, it was gone once more.
In his mind the image of her pressed against him was like a slow, excruciating torture device, and he could take little more. Gabriel stood for a moment or two after she had left, before walking briskly towards the seductress's office. When he opened the door he saw her gulping at a bottle of whiskey and couldn't help but wonder if this night was hitting her as hard as it was him.
"What is it that's changed?" He stood there, leaning against the door, chest marked with small nicks and scars, and now with bloody finger trails that she had made not long before. "We'd spent four hundred years as we were, what changed tonight, Angie? Because i'm pretty sure it wasn't me." The arrogance had returned to him, but his voice had undertones of anger. In Gabriel's mind, Angelique was to blame.

Angelique saw him lifting his chin as the arrogant man started to form again. She had seen him do it countless times and it always made her smirk. But this time it was making her annoyed. the defiance was etched on her beautiful face as she slid from his lap without a care as to how he was feeling at all. She knew that he brought plenty of women to their knees but never her. It would never be her.
She watched as he began to button his shirt that was definitely ruined before he ended up pulling it off and throwing it in the trash. Used and thrown away. It made a resemblance to her and her chin came up in her own arrogance pushing away the sadness as well as the want to be close to him once more. She could feel her blood sliding down along her neck and didn't care at all. Her employees stared at her with awe and shock.
She hissed at them before speaking. "Get back to work! This place doesn't run itself!" She walked then to the bar and had picked up the whiskey uncaring of what was going on around her as everyone began to move to do as she had said. It was a bit chaotic but it didn't matter. She had returned to kiss Gabriel. Impulsive? Maybe. Wanting to? Most definitely!
She moved to her office and groaned once she had closed the door behind her. She looked down at her ruined clothing and the blood all over her. She looked so savage. She could only picture what her employees were seeing. She was unbuttoning the shirt and had gotten to the third button when she had taken a healthy drink of the whiskey when the door opened and she quickly swallowed before starting to speak. "Go to..."
But she had stopped as she turned to see who was there. She heard his question even as with her eyes widened. The blood continued to slide down along her skin. She watched as he leaned against the door. He looked so damn good leaning against the door and as well with his rumpled state as if they had... But then she heard his next words and her face went from a mixture of shock and hunger to defiance once more. "What's changed, Gabriel?" She asked before she took another drink of the whiskey from the bottle. She put her free hand on her hip even as the tops of her breasts shown with the buttons being undone and her wanting to pull her top together.
"Who says it wasn't you? Oh, that's right we cannot blame you, can we? That wouldn't be a good thing, eh?" She was showing her own anger then. The anger slid to her eyes making them shine brightly. The dark depths staring at him angrily with passion and fire. "You are still the same so we can say nothing has changed." She went to turn her back to him as she set the bottle down on her desk. She turned back to him angrily before she started to get closer to him.
"No, it's never you that changes, is it?" She wouldn't be the one brought to her knees by him or anybody. "Blame me? Correct? Well, I will surely take that blame so that we won't have you to fault or find that you actually can be normal, council man! Is there any business you have with me then?" She stopped an inch from him and looked up at him with a smirk of disdain. Granted she knew she should be more respectful with him being so high on the food chain.
But she was beyond care of the repercussions. But suddenly she thought it all over and blinked. What would he do? Did it really matter? No, she had been talking to him like this forever that it just never mattered how high on the food chain he was. Everyone bowed to him but Angelique. She was stubborn and her mouth always did get the best of her. She stared up into his eyes defiantly. "What do you want, Gabriel?"

Gabriel knew his words would irritate Angelique, there was reason behind the outburst, after all she had instigated most of what had gone on, the older man had just gone along with it like a lost puppy. Well, perhaps not a lost puppy, more a confidant but confused beast, but the principal was the same. She had led him to his actions, and that made her responsible.
His chivalrous days were obviously not quite over, despite his previous behaviour, as he averted his eyes, refusing to look at Angelique lest he be distracted. Gabe allowed her the small rant, he knew he wasn't perfect, even more than she did, but he'd never be the one to admit it.
As the woman stood mere inches from him Gabriel was forced to look down at her, finding she hadn't buttoned her shirt. His rough, calloused hands pulled the shirt together, though he knew Angie wasn't in the best of moods and would probably greet his movement with a slap. "Troublesome distractions...." He mumbled, staring at the floor, before returning his gaze to the strip club owner's own eyes.
"You prompted that first kiss, and that's what i mean, not that i'm some high and mighty, better-than-everyone as-" He stopped, inhaling deeply to calm himself once more. "Why now, Angie?" The old vampire licked his lips, glancing at the ever-growing patch of red on Angelieque's shirt. The taste of her blood lingered on his tongue, his mouth still covered in red stains.
His brows furrowed in frustration when she had answered, and then asked what he wanted. "I...I don't want anything....I need you..."

Angelique was angry and wanted to hit him. She wanted to smack him across his cheek and tell him off good. But then he still wasn't looking at her and she didn't realize it was because of her shirt being open and showing off the top curve of her breasts. She remembered a song and it stunned her. I don’t know what this is But you got me good Just like you knew you would...
"No." But then she raised her chin in stubbornness. "Why do you insist on putting blames on everyone?" She was standing in front of him by this point and had felt his hands pulling her shirt together. At first she wanted to slap his hands away but the movement had surprised her. She stared up into his eyes even as she took a breath. The rest of the song made so much sense. I don’t know what you do But you do it well I’m under your spell You got me begging you for mercy Why won’t you release me You got me begging you for mercy Why won’t you release me I said release me...
She heard his words as to troublesome distractions and hissed. "Me? I'm here in my office and you followed me in here? Are you saying I'm one of those troublesome distractions?" She asked indignant. How could this man get so... "You can always leave, Gabriel if I am such a troublesome distraction!"
She shifted some at his next words and stared up at him with a smirk that she didn't quite feel. She didn't know how to answer his why now. She watched as he licked his lips and frowned. "Why not?" She asked with a sneer. "I can't kiss you if I want to, is that it?" She put her hands on her hips glaring at him. "Or is it that you wanted to prompt the first kiss? Well, it's too late for that, now isn't it?"
She went to take a step back as he answered what he wanted but he had a hold of her shirt so she was stuck standing there. "Gabriel! You don't mean that and you know it!" She growled at him. She was angry at him for making her feel a pang of want. She wanted to believe him but knew she wasn't going to be just another nameless face with him. A pretty face he had in bed and then out in the cold. Nope. That wasn't how it went.

Gabriel's resolve had been cracking up all night, and now Angie was just too much for him. She had pushed him away from his prideful nature, every moment that passed was another sweet second of torture to him, another moment beside her. He took her first question as rhetorical, and didn't bother to answer, brows furrowed in frustration.
At his comment about "troublesome distractions" Angelique became notably irritated, and he wasn't about to explain himself for this. When she said that he could always leave, that hit him...Gabe knew that he could leave...but he didn't quite have the will power to tear himself away from Angie.
As she accused him of being controlling and of wishing to kiss her first, he became further frustrated with her. However, the knight calmed himself and told her exactly what he wanted.
When she rebuffed him it was the final straw. "For God's sake, Angie, you're so blind!!"
Gabe stormed from the room, whether Angelique wished to stop him or not, he was gone. The shirtless man made his way quickly out of the strip club and into the streets. Screw her! She had little to offer that he did not already have, anyway.
As Gabriel walked into the cool night air, he completely forgot about his driver, who had been told to wait up for his call, he completely blanked on the fact that the sun would rise in an hour or two, and that he was quite far from Camelot. No, nothing like that really mattered at that moment.
An old knight was walking his way home that night...and hell mend anyone who got in his way.

Angelique was furious as can be at Gabriel. Not everything was perfect for anyone. She stood in front of him angrier than she had ever been with Gabriel but also hungry as hell for him. But he couldn't even see what was standing right in front of him. No, it was always his way or no way. Well, she wouldn't stand for his way. Not at all.
She had told him he could leave if he wanted to but still he stood there. He was always so controlled and it infuriated her. Couldn't he see how twisted she was right now? She was trying to keep her emotions in check but fury and arousal were driving her insane. She wanted to shove him against a wall and take what she wanted but then on the other hand she wanted to put her hands around his throat and choke him.
"I'm blind? What do you call yourself?" She hissed back at him even as he stormed out. "Gabriel?" She whispered but he was already gone and she threw her hands up in the air before she kicked off her boot and then the other followed. She picked up one of the boots and threw it at the door. "Fuck you!" She pulled her knife from it's sheath and threw it at the door then.
She saw that the blade got stuck clean through the door and growled even as she went and sat down on her chair as she pulled her shirt completely off and threw it on the floor. She crossed her arms and put her head down on her arms. She was angry, sad, and hurt. Wounded really. The man was so frustrating. Didn't he see? Her eyes began to water and tears slipped out of her eyes.
She was so confused. For centuries she had pushed Gabriel away. For centuries he wouldn't leave her in peace. She had fought so hard to stay alone. After what that vampire had done to her husband. That vampire had taken everything and now another vampire wanted to invade her existence. She wanted him to leave her alone but then deep down she didn't want him to.
Why was she so confused? She'd practically had sex with Gabriel right there in the middle of a room full of her employees and customers. What the hell was she doing?! Was she losing it again?! She made a fist with her hand and lifted it before bringing it back down on her desk. What the hell are you doing, Angelique?! The memory of pressing against Gabriel was intoxicating. It was burned inside of her memory. His lips pressed against her lips.
Shit! She had to be losing it! She had never done that to Gabriel before. She licked her lips though and could still taste his blood on her lips. She lifted her hand to her neck and could feel where he had tasted her. She looked down at the dried blood all over her and whined some. She lifted her head and wiped her eyes before she picked up the bottle and drank. She chugged it as if it were beer and then threw it at the door.
Yes, get mad again, Angelique. It was easier to deal with. She stood up and began to pace the room after she grabbed a towel and wet it. She began to wipe the blood from her body as she moved. Oh, she was in so much trouble. She leaned against a wall and slid down it before putting the back of her head against the wall. "No more, Gabriel..." She couldn't do this again.
She was burning up with her desires and going insane with them. "What is the matter with you?" She whispered even as she crossed her arms over her knees and began to cry some more. She was fighting with herself and sitting alone. She should clean herself up encase someone came to see her but she didn't want to. There were still streaks of dried blood on her and she still looked savage. What was wrong with her? Dammit!
