Playby: Ian Somerhalder
Name: Detective Damon Delatorre
Age: 28
Sex: Male
Sexual Orientation: Pansexual
Species: Mutant (Thinker)
Physical Description: Damon is built like a greek god. He has the physique of a triathlon Olympian. His muscles are long and lean. He has longish, unruly jet black hair and crystal blue eyes. He has a square jaw and a perfectly proportioned nose. He dresses in black as that is the only color he can stand to wear. He has a perfectly bowed mouth that easily turns up into a mischievous smirk when he tries not to smile.
Attitude: Damon is narcissistic and arrogant. He lacks social boundaries and borders on conceited. He thinks people are idiots and really doesn't care to keep company with them. He doesn't understand why people cant see what is right in front of their faces most of the time. He can't see the point of being sad when a loved one dies, nor does he see the point in letting a bully live to pursue his victims. While he wouldn't kill anyone unless it was within the confines of the law, he does not hesitate to pass judgement on someone if they are stupid enough to break the law. He is moody and gets bored easily. When Damon is bored, it can be a dangerous thing.
Abilities: Damon was born with an unnatural superior intellect. He remembers everything he sees and hears, absorbs books like its food, can tell everything about a person, place or thing just by looking at it. His powers of deduction are uncanny and often make people uncomfortable. He has no fear.
Weaknesses: His ability is difficult to bear and as such is a high functioning sociopath with a hero complex. He gets immobilizing migraine headaches that only sleep or "V" can cure. He is subject to fits of rage that often require him to be tranquilized.
History: Damon was adopted by a vampire couple when he was only a few hours old. He was a testtube baby, born in the lab. He has no idea who his surrgate mother was. His parents were loving and kind to him but he was different from the very first day. He made eye contact with his mother and hung onto it like he was studying her.
At a week old, he said his first word, "Mum". By the time he was 3 months old, he could tell his mother when he was hungry, thirsty or wanted a bath. His parents were thrilled to have such a brilliant child and did everything they could to encourage him. He was given the best tutors and sent to the best schools. Soon he caught the attention of the VSF. He was encouraged to take on law enforcement since at the age of 8, three unsolved cases were placed before him and within 3 days, he had solved them all.
He graduated from the science academy when he was 12 and was immediately employed with the VSF even at that tender age. Since he seemed to not show emotion and was not effected by even the grisliest of crime scenes, the council ruled that he was an adult in a childs body and therefore had a right to the same priveleges. He still lived with his parents until he was 18 when he moved into his own flat.
It has been 10 years now and Damon has out-aged his parents in appearance. They offerd to turn him into a vampire any time he wishes it to be so but he turns them down every time they offer. He has been working for the VSF for the last 16 years and is now Senior Detective. Lately he has been acting a little strange, according to his parents. He has never sought out the company of other people but lately he keeps putting himself into situations where he runs into people. He tries to be social at times but his uncanny intellect makes people uncomfortable so he mostly just watches people. His parents think he may be lonely.

Rp Sample: Damon looked at the corpse of the half eaten woman who was now outlined in chalk. It was a stupid tradition, outlining the body that way. Five minutes after she was removed, no one would care if a dead woman had been found there. He stared at the scene for what seemed like an eternity to the other investigators before turning to face them.
"It's our serial killer. Same MO, call girl in her mid thirties, cheap perfume, pocket full of scripts she is obviously too poor to be in possession of. Her lips are swollen from heavy kissing, illegal contraceptives in her purse, one heel broken from running and among the Lycan bite marks, you see human ones, here..." he pointed at her breast where a nasty bite had been inflicted, "...and here..." he pointed at a second bite on her shoulder. "Multiple stab wounds with a 6 inch blade and I am sure if there was much left of her lower half, we would see that he had sex with her post-mortum." he made a face and shuddered, "Sick bastard." he muttered. "Wrap her up boys, we aren't after the Lycans this time, we are after The Ripper." he turned and began walking towards his car."
Damon knew there was more to the story but for now, the woman needed to be taken off the street. Something had scared the Lycans off. It wasn't the killer since he was long since gone before the lunar beasts discovered the body. There was something out there that frightened the Lycans who, in themselves, were one of the most frightening creatures on the planet.Damon loved a good mystery. It was not often he was able to entertain himself with such investigations. He needed a place to sit and think. There was a place nearby that suited his taste. They made fantastic tea and biscuits. As the body recovery team began clearing the crime scene, Damon walked down the footpath, whistling. It only took him five minutes to get to the sleepy little coffee lounge. All he had to do was walk in and sit down and withing two minutes, his hot cuppa and a plate of biscuits were placed in front of him.
"Anything else, Detective?" the young man who was one of the owners of the establishment asked him.
"I never ask for anything else, why do you ask me every time?" he asked curiosly, not quite understanding the frivolity of the act. "No thank you." he corrected himself.
The man walked away and he sat there sipping his tea and staring out the window.
"Excuse me." he heard a voice ask, "Is anyone joining you? Because that seemes to be the only vacant seat left in the whole place." He looked up to see a smiling face.
"No, not at all, be my guest." he said absently and stared out the window again. He vaguely noticed who occupied the seat across from him.
