Playby: Gareth David Lloyd
Name: Dafydd Jones
Age: 25
Sex: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual (with one exception)
Species: Mutant
Physical Description:
Dafydd is tall and broad shouldered with the lightly tapered waist and length of leg that formal wear was invented for. He looks good in a suit; hell he looks amazing in a suit... and he knows it. His short brown hair is always perfectly styled, his nails perfectly trimmed and his ensemble impeccable. He has a keen eye for detail though there is a softness of gaze to his pale grey eyes that often leaves people underestimating him. Dafydd may be pretty but his abilities both physical and mental are far from negligible.
Attitude:
Dafydd doesn't really consider himself a mutant, just a man with a good memory and he gets quite embarrassed about his official status. He is somewhat reserved, liking things calm, neat and orderly and takes considerable pride in his ability to keep them that way. When pressed he has an unexpectedly wry sense of humour and a sharply sarcastic wit. He is not easily flustered by surprises or even disasters and can keep a level head in almost any situation. Of course that was before he met Ian...
Abilities:
Dafydd has a minor form of the 'Thinker' mutation; a perfect eidetic recall. He can recall perfectly everything he has ever experienced, seen, heard or felt as vividly as if he were reliving it at that moment. Of course just because he remembers it doesn't necessarily mean he understands it but he can search through his memory much as a computer would search a database... only faster.
He has received some basic self-defence training from the VSF because of his work for them.
Weaknesses:
Dafydd has the standard weaknesses of any human.
Overuse of his memory abilities result in migraines, fatigue and insomnia leading to eventual madness.
Dafydd can be somewhat OCD at times, he has difficulty vocalising his emotions and suffers from occasional episodes of melancholy.
History:
Dafydd was born in the UK into a small family of survivors. When the vampires began evacuating refugees from the UK to New Vegas his community were only too happy to accept their offer of relocation. Tragedy however struck their convoy as it was attacked by slags and many of the refugees were killed or infected before the vampires could drive the slags off. Dafydd's own fiancé was infected and he foolishly helped her conceal the fact until she turned and the vampires had to put her down too. The tragedy left Dafydd shocked and withdrawn, a state he has been slow recovering from.
It wasn't until they arrived in New Vegas and went through the processing and registration procedure that it was revealed that Dafydd was in fact a mutant. At first he refused to believe it, insisting that there had been some mistake but the evidence was irrefutable. The revelation drove a wedge between Dafydd and the rest of his family. His parents wanted nothing more to do with him; his mother angrily disowning him and his father, desperate for admittance to New Vegas for the rest of the family was reluctant to side with a mutant.
He was fortunate that a VSF officer from the immigration centre came to his rescue with a suggestion of how he could put his abilities to good use as a citizen of New Vegas. Dafydd has settled in well to New Vegas and has begun to heal from his experiences. He has a good job and a safe and relatively happy life. Though he is still somewhat embarrassed of being a mutant, he may even try and contact his family again when the Little Britain construction opens for habitation.
Dafydd is currently employed as an information clerk in the Security Station. His abilities have proven a useful resource in the general running of the incident office but there are still security concerns with regards to raising his clearance level despite his so far exemplary conduct. Dafydd's memory is a little too good for some of the vampire officers to be comfortable with it.

Dafydd arrived at work promptly for his shift; he was always prompt given that he felt anything else would be disrespectful to the job. He liked his job in New Vegas Security Station; it let him feel like he was making a contribution to the city. The people here had no idea just how lucky they were to have the option of living in such a safe, orderly environment. He entered the lobby and proceeded meticulously through the security checks required for non-vampire employees.
Sunrise was immanent and if the last of the vampire staff didn't leave soon they would be stuck in the Station's temporary accommodation for the day. The vampire at the front desk who should already have gone off-duty was still wading through files. Dafydd smiled at him and pointed at the entries the vampire was still scrambling to look up. "Section26, W24-zat4, 365a-f" The vampire gave a sigh of relief as he penned in the missing codes. "I have gotta get you transferred onto the night shift." he chuckled before blurring away to submit his report and race home before the sun rose.
Dafydd liked to be helpful, but he didn't think that he would ever get put on the night shift. It was during the day when the office was staffed mostly by humans and mutants that he was the most useful. The vampires had the speed to do things the long way. It was the humans who needed a short-cut. He reached his desk and straightened up the objects on it before he took his seat. The files he was supposed to be cross-referencing had already been delivered and teetered in an unstable pile that made him want to wince as he looked at it.
Before he could begin however a hurrying figure caught his eye. "You're using the wrong admission code for that" he called out to an elemental hurrying past him with an evidence box. "How do you know that?" the elemental demanded suspiciously, halting to glare at him. How did he know? Well... but before Dafydd could answer there was a sharp laugh from behind him from a VSF vampire just on his way out. "You must be new..." the vampire chuckled, giving the elemental a toothy grin. "This is Dafydd, he knows everything..."
