Playby: Nathalie Kelley
Name:Anika Tulani
Age: Physically appears to be 24 but is really 847 years old.
Sex:Female
Sexual Orientation:Bisexual
Species:Vampire
Physical Description: Anika is a vision of beauty. Her 5’10” body is long, limber, and graceful. Her bronzed skin holds a faint ashen tint to it from being undead for a few hundred or so years. When one looks at Anika what they see is a naturally pleasing oval face that holds many aesthetically sound features. Her kohl rimmed eyes were once a deep mahogany color; intense and beguiling. Now they have lost that rich intensity, instead favoring more of a sandalwood coloring. It is said that even with the paling of her eyes they are still are capable of entrancing even the strongest willed man. She has a cute small nose that slightly flares out. She has high cheek bones and her lips beg to be kissed with their plump tinted bow-tie shape; tinted as though she had just finished eating a bowl of strawberries. Her rich black mane falls to her hips and has transformed from curly to wavy from the weight of it. She is slender in every aspect which allows her to be very lithe and stealthy.
Attitude:Anika’s attitude is as such:
With Humans I could really care less about you and yours and long as you don’t get in my way. I don’t particularly hate you but I don’t really like you either. Best way to stay on my good side is to be of benefit to me. OF course all humans benefit in one way or another; especially considering that I require you to sustain life but some of you are more of a benefit to me than others. Best to be one of the ones I do benefit more from than not.
With other vampires I respect the hierarchy that is within us But I won’t hesitate to use any opening I can to gain further strong hold in the chain of command. I won’t go out of my way to take something, but should an opportunity present itself….let’s just say I won’t hesitate to advance myself.
With werewolves…I don’t particularly like them all too much but they have their advantages so I tolerate them. I don’t really like that they can become really furry since furriness repulses me to an extent. There are even some that are quite attractive (as if I would go there).
Zombies? I abhor them and wish we could once and for all find a way to eradicate them from existence. They’re vile and disgusting things.
With all other species that may roam what is left of civilization its pretty much a case by case basis. But let one thing be known. I am pretty civil when I need to be no matter what situation but let’s be clear. I will always be looking out for number one and it’s not you who’s number one but me who is number one. As long as we both can agree on that I we will be fine and dandy.
Abilities: Other than normal Vampire abilities, Anika has the psychometry. anything she touches gives her flash back of the owners life. the more valuable the item is to the person the stronger the flashbacks are. They wear her down mentally so she has trained herself to the point that she receives flashes only when she wishes to received them. Downside to her power is there are many creatures in the world who have hidden secrets that they would kill to protect no matter how high on the ladder they may be. So she keeps her ability hidden. no one knows she possesses the ability except Thor and that is only by accident that he found out. He hasn't exposed her yet. Then again it could be his ace in the hole to always keep her on his side.
History:Anika was born, raised, and eventually turn while she still lived within her home country of Egypt. She was born during a period of time where there was much fighting and strife. Fortunately shortly after she was born inner country turmoil had simmered down during the reign of Saladin, who was wel known by his nickname “The Lion”.
As far as her human life was concerned she fared better than most. From the time she was a babe she was admired for her beauty. Her family was considered nobility within the walls of Cairo, so she would never be subjected to harsh labor that would ruin her beauty. Her parents, seeing how her beauty was admired by many decided nothing but the son of a Sultan would suffice their daughter. They wanted the best for her; anything necessary to advance her station in life. Her beauty would be the ticket to her advancement. A chance opportunity presented itself when she was seven years old. The Sultan Saladin was presented with a second son. From the moment of his birth the sultan was steadily searching for a suitable wife for his infant son, whom he had named Othman. Anika’s parents presented her to the Sultan, who immediately decided that she would be a perfect match for her son, even if she was seven years his senior. With the Sultan’s decision made she left in the care of the Saladin’s people much to her protest. She would be trained how to be the perfect wife to Othman.
As she grew she was homed and trained on a wife’s duty to her husband; to be obedient and ever serving to her husband. It wasn’t easy at times given she had to watch him grow up from the baby he once was. No matter how insufferable he had been as a child he always seemed to prefer her company; forever clinging to her leg and following her around, it was very endearing. She loved him as a mother loved a child. It was wrong to feel that towards her future husband but with him being so young at the time she felt it would be crude and sick of her to think anything else. She never once told him that she was deigned to be his wife, feeling that he was not yet old enough to understand the concept.
When he was considered a young man they Othman into training and prepped her for when he returned as a man ready to take his wife. That would never happen. When she was 24 and Othman was still away a creature of the night stole into her room and turned her to what he was. From that moment on she followed her maker in a blind dedication until the year 1854 when he daywalked and she was freed from his impulse. She was completely grateful he grew tired of the world. Time had taught her that she hated subjugation. From then on she vowed that she would survive on her own and she did just that until the disaster that destroyed much of the world and her food source with it.
After the mass destruction happened she teamed up with a group of well aged vampires and formed the council of magistrates, a group of vampires who would see to the restructuring of the world as they knew it. since the rebuild she owns and runs Arabian Nights; a Casino themed in Arabic Egypt as a dedication to the husband she never had the chance to tell that she was his.

The Greenhouse Gardens: the one and only place in the whole of New York City that felt like home to Elise. Not even her flat, adorned with remnants of her life felt like home when she was here. If it was not for Kisses, her calico, she would almost never go home to the lonely expanse of the flat.
Growing up in the suburban jungle of NYC Central Park had been her only refuge. Surrounded by the beautiful expanse of greenery the missing pieces of her soul were returned, only to be torn away again after leaving. It was in the park she shined the brightest. She never understood growing up that it was nature that released her from the hell she felt herself to be in. Elise’s parents’ never understood their daughter. The desolation she felt without the warmth of the park to revitalize her. They were in despair; trying everything they could to help her themselves. Elise being unable to explain her innate need to be with nature was unable to offer any clues as to what plagued her.
They turned to aid of medical professionals. There were therapy sessions, pill after pill; each time promising to end her depression. They all failed, leaving Elise to feel weird and no like herself yet down all the same. She secretly stopped taking the medicine refusing to be drugged up with ineffective medicines. Instead when she was old enough to go out on her own she sought refuge in trees, and wildlife of the park. It was on one of her trips there that she found the Greenhouse Gardens. She knew instantly that this was where she belonged; drowning in the rich vibrant life amidst the refuge of the greenhouse. After that day she decided Horticulture was her calling.
After obtaining a degree in Horticultural sciences she began working for the same greenhouse that gave her life and meaning. Then 2013 happened. The veil lifted and Elise was immensely changed. Her ear changed shaped and she was no longer as strong as she once used to be. She was more dexterous; being lithe and nimble had its advantages. She could climb trees and sit amongst the branches and drink in the life of nature surrounding her.
The change was also disastrous at the same time. She developed the ability to see colors surrounding people and control plants. She finally understood the connection between her and nature. Nature was an extension of herself. It was hers to control. With the aura sense she did not understand it at first but quickly learned that the deeper the color that surrounded them the more it made her ill to be around them. Their feelings would become her own. Immense misery, hate, and anger were the worse. Sometimes extreme feeling of happiness or joy would do the same. It was just too much for her to handle. She withdrew, seeking solitude in the greenhouse or flat only. It would not do; she still had to sustain her life and make it from one place to the other.
Battling the overwhelming sickness she studies the colors, learning what each color represented. She learned which to avoid and which she could handle being around. She found that white was the best color to be around. There were no emotions, no feelings whatsoever coming from people with white aura. She was drawn to them, craving their emotionless auras; needing it as she needed her plants. She also chanced upon one person in all of NYC who had no aura; he was colorless. She wanted to understand what made him colorless, how he came to be as such.
Elise talked to the man, getting to know him. He was kind to her, answering any questions she had. It was bliss to her. She never had to worry about becoming overwhelmed around him. He made all other auras dissipate; nothing could bother her whenever she was around him. They met in public places three or four times before he asked her out. Elated she accepted without hesitation. The date was a farce. He just wanted a way to get Elise alone to kill her. She was scum to him; all Meta Humans were in his opinion. He felt tasked by God to eradicate them from existence. She survived only because he had been followed. Apparently her date had been on a watch list for a while to prove his guilt in murdering others like Elise.
Now here she stood, alive and well amidst her family. The greenhouse always accepted her. It never judged her or demanded more than she could give. It was her life and she gave to it fully. Today was no exception. She was there well past her time off yet she could not pull herself away the buds that called out to her. She leaned down and kissed them ever so gently, willing them bloom. Her eyes lit up in amazement; just as they did any other time she assisted them in growing. Pride swelled in her heart as she looked the beauty of the flowers, her flowers. These were her children and she loved each one of them.
It was as she kissed the last of the buds did she hear the faint click of the door. Fear overwhelmed her for a moment and her roses responded accordingly. She could feel them on alert, ready to fire their thorns at her command. She willed them to stand down as she looked around for signs of her visitor.
