Before; I'm an almost complete n00b at this. My last RP was when I was... 16 or something and now I found this
So I may be a bit rusty!Name: Raine Emi Advent
Age: 19
Sex: Female
Sexual Orientation: Hetero
Species: X mutant
Physical Description: Raine has long blond straight hair that she likes to tie up in a braid or let it hang loose. She has big blue/grayish eyes that can give her a childlike appearance. She isn't very tall (5"4) and her physique could be described as petite and fragile with a female shape.
She likes to dress with a certain elegance, while maintaining comfort. You won't see her in a dress unless it's for some sort of party. Yet, she tries to keep herself clean and sophisticated.
Attitude: Raine is a fierce and curious lady. Despites her small physique she tries to make herself noticable. She has her own opinions and it’s hard to change them. She also sees things very black and white. It’s good, or it’s evil, there is no in between. When things turn out to be gray she is confused. This makes her a very stubborn and difficult person in some discussions. But if she becomes familiar with you, she’ll open up a soft side.
She's a loyal and good friend. Yet she can be quite a manipulator if she really wants something . She's a smooth talker but she is easily flustered in contact with guys. She's a bit of a prude and people don't win her trust easily.
Abilities:
Power augmentation; she can enhance or weaken powers of other people. She can't nullify them or make people Gods. You can compare it to getting an adrenaline rush or not feeling well. It effects your powers the same way. Except you aren't feeling an adrenaline rush or feeling sick. It just has an effect on your powers. (So not feelings).
She has to be within a range of 20m and at least see the person.
She's horrible at fighting and has no powers for herself. She survives by being fast and small, trying to outrun or dodge the attacks.
History:Raine grew up in the Haven. For a long time she knew no different than that Haven was everything in the world. She never knew of all the dangers that were outside of the walls. Her parents warned her not to go outside ofcourse, but never really specified. She grew up never seeing a zombie or any other ‘unnatural’ thing besides the elementals that work in Haven.
One night when she was around 15; she got this huge fever. It lasted for about a week and then after that she felt better than she ever did before. She didn't really 'discover' her powers after that. It just came natural to her, like breathing and sleeping. It was as if she was always able to do it.
She knows that the people from Haven aren't very pleased with most mutants, so she has been keeping it a secret since realizing what she was. Her short term goal for now is to get to New Vegas to try out if it also works on other species. She just has to wait for the right opportunity. Well that's the excuse she gives, but in fact she's a bit scared of what she'll find out.
But she’s curious and wants to get to know the other species. Her parents kept saying that all the other unnatural species are evil and not suppose to rule this world. Yet she isn’t so sure anymore because of the fact that she herself is a mutant. On the other hand she has been 'brainwashed' into the idea that all species are evil. So she has an internal struggle with herself. She has this idea that if she is able to talk to other people 'like herself' she will get an answer to her questions.

'Raaaine?! RAINE!?' a woman voice shouted. 'Where did that blasted child go to?'
'We have to find her, they reported that there is a chemic dust storm coming close... closer than it has been for years!' A man replied worryingly. 'We don't have much time left!'
'Are you saying I have to stop looking?!' the woman cried.
The girl they were looking for wasn’t aware of the worry of her parents. Raine was wandering around the steel and stone walls of Haven, wondering what was behind them. They were huge and for the little girl it seemed like they almost touched the clouds. The guards were marching around, but because she was so small she was able to hide. She had plenty of practises and knew where all the secret hiding places were.
It was in one of those hiding places where it happened. It was behind two bushes, Raine was kneeling down on the floor, looking at some flowers. All of a sudden she heard the wind howling and a soft buzzing sound. She looked up at the sky that slowly turned black and yellow. ‘Yellow?’ Raine muttered while standing up. She slapped the mud of her knees and kept looking at the sky.
It was an impressive sight that she would never forget. The sky was pitch-black like in a normal thunderstorm. But at the same time the clouds were a mustard yellow and neon green. ‘Woaah…, what’s going on?’ She was about to run back home when all of a sudden she felt a sharp pang in her stomach. She dropped on her knees again giving a cry. It felt as if her insides where expanding but her body stayed the same. ‘What’s… going… on’ she cried. ‘Mommaaaaa!’ And then the pain caused her to black out.
‘Here she is!’ The woman screamed. The sky was normal again and it seemed like nothing had ever happened. ‘Ow baby! Baby!’ She grabbed the unconscious child and held it tight. ‘Raine, are you alright? Wake up honey! Wake up! Come here! She’s burning up with a fever!’
A man came running towards the two. ‘Come on! Let’s get her back to the village.’ He took the girl from the woman and stroked the hair out of her face. ‘You stupid stubborn child.’ He muttered while running as fast as he could.
