Evelette stalked down the dampened streets, the leather boots splashing through various puddles and other pockets of filth. She paid it no mind. The overwhelming stench of the near bloodless humans and the filth that scattered the streets made her crinkle her nose in disgust as they clawed at her ripped up jeans, begging for any spare coin she might drop their way. Finally fed up with the insistent begging, she dragged one poor soul down an ally. His screams died as quickly as they came as she cooled her hunger and her irritation.
A long moment later she righted herself and left the decaying corpse to rot, brushing her hands along her mouth to clear any traces of remains she might have missed. She had no real destination in mind. She had been scouting for the last few weeks to find out where it was safe for her to travel and which areas she should avoid like the plague.
She paused as her eyes caught the bar Skin and she tilted her head slightly to the right, a habit she had never been able to rid herself of. She did it subconsciously whenever she was pondering something. One of the humans she had snagged as prey had told her feebly that Skins was a place that accepted all species, and she was curious if he had been telling the truth.
The door swung open easily and Evelette stepped into the dimly lit bar. The music thrummed, the girls spun as if their lives depended on it and the smell of alcohol was heavy in the air. It took her overly sensitive senses a moment to adjust and as soon as she had she pushed her way to the bar, working between the crowds. She pulled the leather jacket a bit closer to her body and sat in a vacant seat around the bar.
"Something cheap and strong doll, not all of us make our money spinning around a pole." Evelette purred, her French accent coming in strong. The bartender grinned as he accepted her money and went to make the drink.
