White.
Everywhere. Everything.
Shouting. A glorious cocophony of sound filling his ears. Every word lost among the others.
Silence.
Black.
----
Dmitrius woke once more, sweating, kneeling, snarling. His arms bound in chains, bolted to each wall. The cool whiteness of the lab had been replaced by this dank, musty cave that had become his prison. His feet shackled to each other, and the chain attached to the back wall of the cave.
His clothes were nowhere in sight, and he had no idea how long it had been since he last saw the pure light of the sun. Here stood the Beta of Lukias's pack. A mere animal.
Every day a fresh piece of raw meat was laid before him, most days he gave in and ate. Never human flesh. Enough to keep him alive.
Still the memory of how he had arrived in this prison escaped him.
Ares was subjected to torture on low levels every day, with an occasional "test".
Today? Vampiric blood. The stench of the red liquid that filled the bowl was offensive to the lycan's nostrils. Then he realised. The vampires might be offering it to him. But they wouldn't leave without forcing him to drink.
Though most lycans had their own tolerance to the poison, Dmitrius was at a disadvantage against the bloodsuckers for his inability to stand the substance. More than a mouthful or two and he would be done for. He struggled against his restraints, writhing on the spot as he attempted to pull the chains away from the wall.
In front of him a vampire barked orders that he didn't quite care about, and two muscle-bound bloodsuckers grappled with the werewolf, bringing him to the ground, snarling and wriggling against his captors.
A piece of tubing attached to a funnel was brought out, unrolled and aimed at the lycan's face.
"No! Not-Like-Thiii-" The final word was cut off. Replaced by something like a howl of pain, defiance, and anger. Dmitrius found himself panting as fur grew from his skin, once tanned and now paling. His teeth grew to fangs, nose and mouth merging and elongating. his muscles bulged as he grew into his lycan form, ears pulled back in a defensive manner.
The high-ranking werewolf threw of the vampiric guards, pulling at the chains until he was free of them, the shackles and a few links still attached. He ripped the chains at his legs away, before turning his attention back to the vampires, who were now looking a little more fearful.
Again, one of them shouted out orders and the two vampires that Dmitrius had thrown off now pulled out guns. Supposedly loaded with silver. Barely fast enough Ares jumped at one of the pair, taking a bullet to the arm and howling in pain and fury as he tore at the vampire's flesh with his claws.
Now injured, and unlikely to last, the lycan had to hurry to the under-city, seek help. Even the primitive parts of his werewolf mind understood that. Get out, or die. In just a moment the second gunman was down and now he noticed that only the vampire who had led the others was left. Supposedly the others had gone to stay away from the dangerous beast.
At last. Only one obstacle between himself and getting out of there.
A grin found the old vampire's lips, and Dmitrius growled lowly, circling closer to the bloodsucker, who was obviously up to something.
The large wolf now only limped, the initial adrenaline already running out and leaving him drained somewhat. With one swift movement he was upon the old vampire, and his throat was now merely a gash.
Ares panted, his entire body shaking. The Under-City. He needed to go there, now.
Without thinking he began to trot his way through the tunnels, only going into ones where the scent of vampires was fainter. The maze of the city's catacombs confused the injured lycan in his half-starved, totally crazed state, but eventually he felt it. A breeze. only a small one, but still. Movement in the air was his only clue to where he was. Following the small amount of wind he found a tunnel opening.
Odd. Even in his current state, Ares knew the vampires weren't that stupid. Nevertheless, he found his bearings. Close to Lust. Good. That meant close to the Under-City and the lair. Now walking on only three of his massive paws, the beta scented the air as he hid in an alleyway.
Following the obvious scent of his brethren he found a manhole, loosened from the use of many and pulled it up with one hand, jumping into the hole and pulling the cover back into place above him.
Home stretch. In the middle of the dark, stinking sewer that would lead him home, Dmitrius collapsed and writhed, his strength being sapped as he shifted back to his human form. Crawling now he found himself in a tunnel, very close to his room, before he couldn't support himself. the silver was still in his bicep, the poison already within him, and only one though filling his mind, and then pouring forth from his mouth.
"Axelle!! A-Axelle!"

The past few months had been the best of Alexander Blacks life. Almost every day he had spent time with his newly made friend Axelle. It just brought enlightenment into his view of this world. He had never trusted anyone ever since he had met this man. He trusted the pack like his family- but the bond between Alex and Axelle was so much more or at least it was starting to feel like it. Every moment that they spent together felt so much short then it really was. He didn’t understand why this at all. All he knew is that life couldn’t get much better then that. Nor could it not get any worse. They always seemed to have a great time. Whether it be going for walks, mini trips somewhere, playing chess or anything else. It was always amazing. Soft breathing and the occasional grunt from the figure curled up on the bed.
Alexander woke with a huge smile on his face and glancing to his side. He had sleepy in Axe’s room for the billionth time. He couldn’t tell if his friend was asleep or not. Who was he kidding- it was a battle to get this man to sleep. But when he did sleep it made Alex happy. He felt like it was the morning. But he felt like he really needed his morning run. He slowly pushed himself up and slid off the bed slowly. He rummaged around for his shoes in this junkyard. As he did so- stubbed his toe. Swearing a stream of swear words. He would need to be oh so careful not to kill himself on the way out of this room. He ran a hand through his hair and then approached the door. Opening it slowly and quietly.
Before he left he glanced over his shoulder and watched him for a few seconds. He said quietly ”I will be back in an hour or so.” Eventhough he couldn’t tell wether he was asleep or not- he felt like telling him so he didn’t think or worry he was kidnapped or anything.
Slipping out and then out through the tunnels. An hour or so later- he returned.
_______________________
There was an odd feeling to the air. It caused him to shudder and feel uneasy. Alexander opened the grate down to the tunnels slowly and slipped in. Closing it behind him. He paused and let out a long sign. Then ventured forward. The smell and presence of another lycan hit him. He realized that scent was the one of the old smell of Axelle’s room. He started to pick up his pace. Was there something going to happen between that old room owner and his new friend. He felt a new sudden protective and other emotions was over him.
Alexander burst through the door, while pretty much yelling ”Axelle, Ax…You okay?” he realized no one was in here. He leaned over a bit breathless. He wondered where this smell was coming from then. Alex then straightened up when he heard somewhere in the hall calling for Axelle.

Several days had passed since she literally fell into this new pack. They had all been very nice and welcoming but Dels still felt a little on the outs, missing her foster mother and those that had fallen in order for her to even just be here. The sense of loss was overwhelming for her at times and she kept to herself mostly because of it. Perhaps it was a self preservation tactic or just loneliness but she ventured out more on her own then with anyone from the pack.
The floors of the tunnels felt cool under her bare feet as she jogged along a route that had become one of her favorites. It made a large loop around the main area of the pack's lair and had many intersecting tunnels and by passes.
She was about to head out and see if she could grab a bite when the sent of a male caught her attention. Her body came to a stop as her head tilted up taking a deeper breath in. Blood, pain and something else. She couldn't decipher it and it made the hairs on the back of her neck bristle. Something was not right with the smell.
If something was down here that didn't belong, she was in the wrong body to do anything useful. Dels slipped out of the shorts and sweater she favored and closed her eyes to concentrate on making her body change. Her back bowed outwards as she fell to all fours and her skin stretched and pulled as bones lengthened and muscle's expanded. Her mouth became a mussel as it lengthened and her teeth grew down into powerful incisors. Fingers lengthened as nails pulled in and became sharp claws for rending great damage to the unsuspecting. It only took moments but if felt like a life time to the young lycan. Each time it was easier and a little hard at the same time. Her eyes focused on the tunnel ahead and she pulled in a deeper breath.
She moved quickly and surprisingly quiet for such a large creature. Her eyes kept scanning and searching for who belong to the unknown scent. No one else from the pack was near at the moment but they would be soon enough. A distressed voice called out for Axelle and she stopped short. She knew who that was sorta.. he was Alex's friend and a pack mate. It was closer then she'd though and turned to the left creeping slower still down the tunnel till she could see the male collapsed on the floor. He smelled like Zavier almost but different something deeper and it pulled a sharp chuff from her lips.
Was he pack or not she wondered and sat back on her haunches watching him for a moment before reaching out with a claw and nudging the man. A low whine came from her, as she voiced her confusion over what to do. She didn't want to bring a stranger deeper into the lair if he was bait yet she could tell he was hurt. There was a bitter metallic smell mingling with the blood that came from his seeping wound. Common sense argued with reason, if he was a Beta he'd have healed by now and wouldn't have just passed out.
She'd wait for more pack, was her final resolve as she watched over the still form. Raising her head she called to them with a short howl that would hopefully bring more help.

Axelle had decided to go for a walk about the place and get reacquainted with all that had happened. He had been gone quite a long time and spent most of his time alone or with Alex. It had been going pretty good. Alex and him had gotten pretty close but still he kept Dmitrius a secret inside his own head. He had his moments where he destroyed the room more in his rage and anguish. Silent misery in a way.
He ran his hand along the wall collecting dirt and dust before wiping it off on his blue jeans leaving the torn fabric dirty. But then as he was only a few turns from going back to Dmitrius' room he smelled a familiar scent. He couldn't quite place it but warning bells were going off in his head. But then the scent got stronger and he heard his name called out. He went running. His feet hitting the floor hard and quick and he skidded on turns before he stopped dead in shock.
The last person he ever thought he'd ever see had fallen to the floor. He could smell the blood and fury tore through him at a quickened rate. He was furious someone had hurt Dmitrius. He moved close to Dmitrius. "Dmitrius, I'm here. Shhh...." But his words held an angry edge even as he lifted Dmitrius off the ground. He would deal with his conflicting emotions later. For now he had more to deal with. Yes, he was angry with Dmitrius and that was putting it mildly but he didn't want Dmitrius dead.
Axelle looked at Alexander and then to the woman. Yeah, he'd seen her now and then but never really talked to her. "I have a few things in my room..." He had to pull a few things out of himself through the times and besides Axelle was a scavenger in a way. He kept some stuff just in case and being a lone wolf before he found some stuff quite useful. He hated seeing Dmitrius but he was still hurt from Dmitrius. Why wasn't anyone doing anything? He looked at the woman and growled angrily at her. "Why aren't you helping him?" He needed to let out some of his anger.
He moved to the bed and set Dmitrius on it and groaned as he saw the bullet wound. You could hurt everyone but the people who mean something to you. No, the past was done. Then why are you hurting for him again? He didn't want to think about it. He had been getting close and cared for Alex. He went to his backpack and looked at Alexander. "Do you know anything about getting a bullet out?" He finally spoke to Alexander looking at him with a miserable look. "I can hold him down and direct you as to what to do and then we have to find someone that knows how to fix this. I know the basics. But I'm not so knowledgeable on the rest."
He was pissed at the woman and wasn't asking her help. If she wanted to help she could but right now her having been caught just doing nothing had made Axelle see red. "How could she let one of her pack lay there like that?" Anguish colored his words. He looked at Alexander with a frown. Axelle was in shock still and going through motions at the moment. This was like a reunion of the older pack. He slowly turned his gaze back to Dmitrius. "Someone needs to get Lukias." He picked up his backpack and went back to the bed still having not really talked to Dmitrius. "Dmitrius, it's going to hurt a whole lot to get that bullet out..." He spoke softly to him.

{OoC: Made from my phone, may be short. }
His mind was racing. Scents filled Dmitrius's nostrils, so different from the norm and yet familiar. He was home alright, but the pack had grown, new smells filled the air, and faintly under it he found him. The under-statedly masculine scent of the older wolf. Unassuming and yet, easy for him to find, just like Axelle himself.
Dnitrius stopped shouting, he knew that even with the scent Axelle might have disappeared from the pack once more, and he couldn't waste precious energy like that.
Breathing was getting harder and the lycan's diminishing muscles were almost lifeless but for his heaving chest. The tunnel wasn't as dark as usual, but slowly Dmitrius found his sight darkening. Terror clutched at him once more. The silver in his system was preventing the bullet wound from healing up.
Around the corner came one of his kind, a female in her lycan form. The fairly young wolf felt relieved for a moment. He didn't recognise her scent or her appearance, but she was more than a miracle to him at this moment.
"P-please...i-it-" She howled over his broken words, calling the pack, he had a chance now.
Within seconds he heard pounding footsteps, more help. It wasn't clear why the strange female hadn't made a move, but he had been gone for a while, he knew Lukias would have replaced him. She wouldn't know, perhaps she thought he was a stray. It made se-
Dmitrius had his thoughts cut off when he saw behind the female. "Axelle..."
When the frenchman came forward and picked him up his heart leapt in his chest, still hammering away at an alarming rate. "You're....he- here..." A weak hand went up, unbelieving, and stroked the old wolf's cheek, even as Ares shuddered and shook.
"Sil-silver." He choked when Axelle laid him on the bed. His eyes went up, staring at the ceiling, unable to properly focus on Axelle's orders to the younger wolf who had entered.
At his lover's final words Dmitrius managed a smile. "You always were a pain." a choked chuckle followed his words. Before being replaced by a frown. Then came the words least likely to come from the stubborn man.
"I'm sorry."

Everything happened so quickly. Alexander instantly reacted as Axelle went to help this man into the bedroom. He nudged the door open and half supported the other man. He could tell by glancing at Axe’s face that he was overwhelmed with emotions. Once they place the man on the bed the stench of blood and silver filled his nostrils. He wrinkled his nose slightly and a shudder ran through his body. This was going to be a very diffucult situation. He approached the man and leaned over a bit and examined the wound. He had had some experience with this- but the bullet was very deep. So it would be painful and hopefully this guy wouldn’t try to kill him in the processes. There was blood everywhere now. The cloths, bed linens and everything it seemed. They would need to work quickly. He said to the man on the bed ”Hey- I am Alexander. Stay with us buddy.”
He watched as these two shared an intimate moment- this was one that made him feel unsure what to do. He shook himself and pulled himself together. He would discuss this with Axelle later if there was further confussion on his part.
”I can take this out. I just need a few things. I just don’t know where to find them.” Alexander said calmly. He looked at his friend who looked miserable. There eyes met and he said reassuringly ”Everythings going to be okay- just need all of your help with holding him down and everyone to get along.” he said after his friends minor out burst to the female. He tried to give him the most confident smile he could summon up.
Alexander’s eyes left his friend and back the man and his wound. He let out a sigh and said ”Ill need tweezers or something like those to get bullet out, whiskey or any alcohol, bandages, cloths and warm water.” he glanced over at Del. He knew this woman- her name was Delsonora. He was there the night that they had found her after an attack on her by zombies or humans.
He tried to ignore the fact that there may have been some kind of connection between these two. Just the way they seemed to be so close and talking in such hushed tones. He forced that to the back of his mind.
The air was full of different emotions. Alexander looked back up at Ax. He wanted to help his friend. But so many questions arose from just watching all of this.

Her head snapped down to the man laying there as he spoke.. Before she could do anything or move Axelle came thundering along and moved in close to the injured man. He called him Dmitrius and it wasn't a name she'd known to be current pack. Not that she'd talked to all of them anyway. It was clear to her then and there, that he was pack and she'd royally just mucked up in the eyes of Axelle.
Her head lowered and she shrunk back at the angry words tossed her way. If she'd known what to do she'd have done something.. He had Dmitrius scooped up and was carrying him back to the main area in a heart beat. Axelle knew who this was and was obviously very upset at the man's injury's.
Dels followed behind them and broke off to where her clothing was stashed. It only took a few moments to shift back into her human form. Though shifting so quickly back, left her feeling shaky at best. She quickly slipped back into her over sized sweatshirt and shorts, an ran to see if she could offer any thing use full. The heat of shame flared up the back of her neck, as she heard Axelle ask Alex how she could let one of the pack just lay like that. Her shoulders slumped even more.
She should have done something, but what if she'd hurt him more or he'd.. her mind trailed off as Alex spoke about supply's and from her spot the door way she nodded.
"I'll see if anyone has anything you need, and find Lukias too." She added quietly and spun quickly on her bare heel. Dels hopped that the alpha was in his room or close by. It was the least she could do to make up for not doing anything and making Axelle upset with her. She hoped that they could help Dmitrius. Her right hand rubbed her left arm nervously as she went from room to room gathering up what was needed and looking for Lukias as she went.
It didn't take to long to gather up some extra fabric for bandages and a half bottle of alcohol, as well as a needle and some thread. Someone was going to heat up water and bring it as soon as it was heated. Getting a little impatient and wanting to help better then she had. Dels asked several of the others in the pack to find Lukias and send him directly to Axelle's room quickly as they could. With a bit more trepidation then bravery she brought everything back to Axelle's room and placed it carefully next to Alex.
"There is warm water coming, and the others are looking for Lukias." She told him softly, before stepping back and out of the way.

Axelle was so conflicted. Nothing had prepared him for this at all. He was horrified, in shock, angry, and thrilled. Happy but he was so conflicted and didn't know how to respond at all. He was just going through the motions. He was sure he would be thinking about it later when everything settled down. He would have to think and he was on the verge of losing it. Axelle knew that Dmitrius was bad off and he knew he didn't want that and the emotions were coursing through him in waves and he couldn't stop himself from reacting to them at all. He had taken Dmitrius into the room and laid him down on what was now his bed. The bed they had shared so many times.
He felt the touch to his cheek and couldn't stop himself from looking down into Dmitrius's face. "Yes, and it looks like it's my turn to repay you for nursing me back to good health... And I know, Dmitrius...." His voice cracked some before he cleared it. "One problem at a time. Right now comfort because in a bit you are going to want to kill me again and again. Not that you haven't wanted to before." He gave a forced chuckle at that. "Of course I am here. Where else could I go to?" He turned his gaze to Alexander and met his eyes. "I'll hold him down you two work on getting that bullet out."
He frowned some. "He won't be out to kill me unlike you two." He turned to look down at Dmitrius as he said 'I'm sorry.' His eyes widened and he wanted to ask why but right now he couldn't handle it. He wanted to curl up in a corner and go to sleep and wake up to this not happening. He leaned down to whisper in Dmitrius's ear. "No talking like that. You might make me cry and besides you want to be even more of a pain in my ass anyways so quit your babbling of apologies until later, Dmitrius. We have things to do. And I read a shirt once that said 'If you have something to say raise your hand and..."
He put both his hands on either side of Dmitrius's head so they were looking eye to eye and he was bent over at the waist before he continued. "Put it over your mouth." He looked over at Alexander and then to the woman before looking back at Dmitrius. "One promise. Don't try to kill me or I will knock you out. I have grown some more, Dmitrius." But he knew he still wasn't as strong as Dmitrius but in his current state his adrenaline was pumping and he was completely unsure. "She'll have to hold his arm down and that will be all since his main focus will be getting me off of him and as well keep you from causing more pain." He spoke to Alexander turning to look at him.

Time was running out. Lukias. He could help, Dmitrius knew. The ever-steady alpha would get him out of this god forsaken mess. But he would have to arrive soon for that to happen...
Each breath was more laboured than the last, but still the tough lycan stuck in there, holding onto the precepice with everything he had. Axelle was holding him down, sweat dripped from his brow, groans were pulled out along with the little air he held. The bullet would be out soon, the pain would be over. It hadn't spread far enough. If they got it out before he died then there was still a chance to live.
Ares' brown orbs held the pale blue of Axelle's. A moment passed between the two, forgotten memories and time wasted came flooding back to the younger werewolf. His brows furrowed and he let his face fall to a look of sadness before returning to its pain as the poison seeped through him. "Axelle...if you p-promise to save me i-i'll never make ano-another sound..."
(OoC: Not much in this, sorry)

[OOC- So sorry for the delay you guys!]
This was not going to be an easy job. This man looked like if in one hit would send both of them flying. Second by second the situation of the wound seemed to get worse. But he was up for this challenge. If this man was a friend or whatever he was to Axelle- he would help the best to his abilities. Alexander watched as Del left the room- he heard her going from room to room collecting all he needed to perform his work. He watched there interactions further. Alexander felt a pang of jealousy in his chest. He snapped out of his jealousy as he received the supplies. He was doing this only for Axelle. He would do anything for him.
”Thanks! Well I doubt he would make it in time. I will go ahead with this. I know what I am doing. But thanks for the help. I may need some more hands in awhile.” Giving her a smile and then looking back at what he this injured man. He let out a sigh. He said ”Okay- I shall begin now.” He watched as Axelle braced this other male. He moved once again to the wound. This is when he started to get nervous- he was running out of time and he was thinking about other things. He had to force himself to focus.
Alexander heard groaning and then he said ”Axe- brace him. I am going in for the bullet.” His eyes met with Axelle. He could tell that he wasn’t able to handle all this- his poor friend was very much caught off guard. He looked back down at the wound. He began his work. Alexander located the bullet- it was very deep. He bit his lower lip and he carefully navigated the bullet with his tweezers. He was fully concentrated. Alexander was now removing it- slowly so not to cause much more pain or more damange.

Dels tried not to panic when Axe told Alexander that she'd have to hold down the injured man's arm. The smell of the blood mingled with the silver reminded her of her own arm and she bit the inside of her lip hard.
She moved to where she could hold D's arm and took it gently in her hands trying not look directly at what Alexander was doing. She looked hard at a spot on the floor while keeping his arm firmly gripped in her hands as best she could without hurting him any further. Her stomach rolled slightly and she swallowed to keep from being sick.
It would be mortifying to loose her last meal cause she couldn't stomach the smell of D's injury. She only hoped that Alex got what ever it was out and quickly.
"Is he gonna be alright?" She asked quietly, hoping that he would be.
