Bebe had been laying on her makeshift bed for quite some time this night. Her legs laying bare against the cloth that covered the ground and cloth she used to make the bed more comfortable. She wore a long shirt of dark black that went to about mid-thigh and her pants lay on the ground beside her easy to grab. Her gun and blades laying even closer to her in case of an emergency. A bottle of very old rum was open and in her hand.
She took a drink every now and then to force down her memories of how much she missed her father. He had taught her everything she knew and taught her to fight. To never submit to the vampires at all. She slowly began to slide out of the bed and took a drink of the rum as she began to walk around. She lit a candle so that the shadows would disappear and she could see. The darkness being pushed away so that it was much easier on her human eyes.
She knew the vampires had killed her father. There was no other explanation. She knew that it could have been the zombies but he would never have been out there if it weren't for those bastard vampires. They wouldn't be like farm animals if it weren't for them. They wouldn't be starving and barely living if it weren't for them. She drank the last of the rum and threw the bottle. It broke into pieces next to the hanging cloth that was used as her front door. She began to laugh softly.
The sun should be up soon and she hadn't slept at all and she wasn't even sure when last she had slept in truth. Every night and day she seemed to wait to hear noise of her father returning but never was there any word at all. She went over to her pants and pulled them on. She then proceeded to strap on her sheaths to put her weapons on. She would possibly take a walk and see if anything was amiss. She proceeded to put on her black combat boots and pulled on a long jacket that went to her ankles and began to walk about Haven.
Everyone would be asleep except those that protected Haven. It was to be her night off though. But everyone knew she would probably be walking around anyways. She began to push her hair back away from her face as she walked around with the candle before she blew it out and dropped it as she continued to walk. She would pick it up later maybe.

The night air embraced his face like a long lost love, soothing his skin cooling any damage the sun’s rays had inflicted earlier. Night watch was always boring and yet he forced himself to remain vigilant, he had been on guard for around four hours and all he had accomplished was sharpening his blades. Something about maintaining his weapons calmed his mind; it was a trick his father had taught him years ago. With his blades and bolts all sharpened his eyes returned to the area that was Haven, he was responsible for so many lives and yet all he could bring himself to think about was jamming a blade into the chest of a vampire. It was a daily struggle he was forced to face, his lust to murder as many of the things as he could before they inevitably ended his life or worse shipped him off to a blood bank against the obligation he felt towards the rebels. At the end of the day this was home, it didn’t matter that none of his blood relatives were still here, he could be considered a loner if it wasn’t for the fact that in some small way every one of the rebels helped raise him which made them his family.
His eyes were drawn to the flickering light of a small candle leaving one of the sleeping areas. Before he even caught a glimpse of the wanderer he had a fairly strong idea of who it was. Undoubtedly it was Bebe; she never could sleep and always ended up walking through the camp during the middle of the night. Of course everyone turned a blind eye to it, given she was the only female guardian in the camp and she was more than equipped to handle herself. She always managed to draw Sam’s attention whether she meant to or not and even before he signalled to the other guard, the man knew exactly what was going to happen. He was waved away and with that leapt down off the raised platform he was guarding from and crept towards her. The sand like soil helped mask his approach as he edged closer to her, anyone else would have announced themselves in order to protect them from any sort of snap reaction. Sam on the other hand decided to risk it as he managed to get right up behind her, without her detecting him or so he thought at least.
Given how dark it was around camp without any sort of artificial light, the next step may have been unnecessary, but Sam placed his hands over her eyes as he stood behind her. He wasn’t sure exactly how she would react, truth be told Bebe was a very unpredictable woman and that was one of the things that held Kane’s interest. “Guess who?” The question in itself was redundant, he was the only man, woman or child foolish enough to attempt such a gesture. Even under the cloak of night, his pearly whites flashed as his lips parted. He waited for her reaction completely uncertain of what it would be.

Bebe had continued to walk through Haven calmly. Most just left her alone. The mouth she had on her was always rough and she could fight. One man had tried to get her in bed once figuring that all women were good for was breeding and her father had been gone on a trip as she had always called it. The man hadn't found an easy woman and had tried to make an example out of her. What he found was a woman that slept with blades beside her and she had stabbed him in the shoulder with one before he ran out with her yelling and waking the whole place up.
"Don't ever touch me again or I will chop IT off next." She walked back inside though she did have a few bruises from his manhandling her. She hadn't seen the guy after that night ever again. Not in passing or otherwise so it was perfectly fine by her. She wasn't scared of the man at all. She knew that most of the males looked down on her for being a woman and worse yet the only female guardian. She continued to walk as she tried to relax altogether. It had been rough since her father had been presumed dead. There had been no closure. No body or anything to tell her one way or the other.
She knew she was perfectly safe with all the weapons and her knowledge so she walked about in the darkness quite content. She had lived here her whole life and was happy with living here though it was a rough life. But suddenly she felt hands over her eyes and she brought her elbow back with her hands folded and giving it more oomph towards whoever had thought to put their hands over her eyes. She heard the words and grunted softly. "Who needs to guess when your voice says it all, Sam?"
She growled softly then before she spoke once more. "What if it had been a knife, dear?" She spoke with a soft voice as if held a temptation in itself. Soft and sweet yet always the words held more of a rough nature but the sound of them were easy and gentle. She put a hand on her hip. "One night with your luck with the ladies they are going to tear your hide apart after you scaring them half to death. Lucky for you I'm made of sterner stuff." She purred the words wickedly making them sound like sweet nothings whispered in his ears.
Her lips curved into a wicked smile. "Or perhaps the males even?" She gave a giggle at that. "Not sure which field you play for after all, Sam luv." She knew she was poking fun at him and teasing him all at the same time but she wanted to see what kind of reaction he gave her after all. Most just left her to herself but never Sam.

Sam received the response he was expecting and more when Bebe drove her elbow back into his sternum. The bone dug its way towards his lungs driving the air up through his larynx; admittedly she had caught him off guard somehow even though on some level this reaction was to be expected. As he attempted to catch his breath he heard the words fall from her tempting lips, letting him know that she knew all along who it was. Given the fact she knew it was him, it drew questions to the forefront of his mind as to why she felt the need to wind him. Or at least it would have with anyone else, Sam and Bebe always had a complicated relationship, neither of them were particularly friendly and perhaps that’s what drew them together. Whilst most people within the camp tended to give both of them there space for various reasons, Sam seemed to relate to Bebe and he hoped the feeling was mutual. Even with the searing pain that was residing within his abdomen he couldn’t help but smile, she was the only one that could have drawn that reaction from him after attacking him. ` He heard the familiar tone of her next sentence; it was quiet almost a whisper all that did was draw him in almost forcing him to listen. What if it had been a knife, well what if indeed, how would Sam have reacted to a blade through his chest, more than likely with a louder growl before tumbling to the ground however his wit reacted first. “Well my dear, if you want to bring blades into our relationship, then you’re going to have to buy me dinner first.” He lifted his head from its hanging position and met her gaze, he had seen many a man attempt to woo her around the camp, seeing her as nothing more than a potential conquest. Not one of them took the time to truly appreciate her eyes and the beauty they held, Sam could find himself lost at the thought of them. He recovered his breathe and attempted to regain his composure as she continued speaking to him sporting that besotting grin of hers. She placed her hand on her hip ever so softly almost teasing Sam as she watched him attempt to recover.
The comment about him getting in trouble with the ladies made him smirk, he knew he hadn’t exactly set the camp on fire in that department but they all bored him, well almost all of them. The thing with Sam was, he held different tastes to his colleagues, where they would see a woman that needed to be put in her place, he saw a thing of beauty that should be embraced not tamed. She added that she was made of sterner stuff and of course Sam knew this, he had known it since the first day he laid eyes on her. Then of course came her customary witty remark, commenting that of course it could be a male given that she didn’t know what team he played for. He couldn’t help but smile, her humour just complimented his own so much and then his next move hit him before he could even consider filtering it. His impulsive nature had gotten him in trouble plenty of times before and given his company he was almost certain it would again. He brought his hand up and gently brushed a stray lock of her hair back behind her shoulder and met her gaze directly. “Now you know I only have eyes for you sweetheart, so I guess you can tell me what team I play for.” Having said that before she could react he pressed his lips against her forehead and gently caressed it for a moment before pulling back. Instinctively his frame tightened a little expecting another blow from the feisty blonde in front of him and yet he couldn’t bring himself to take his eyes off her. “Still can’t sleep then?”

Bebe knew she shouldn't have hit him but he should have known better than to put his hands over her eyes. They were such a violent bunch in truth. But loving when they wanted to be. She knew he knew that she knew who he had been. She tilted her head some even as her hair fell across one of her eye. It hid her eye as if a secret were to be held within her eye even as she looked at him as he was gasping for air. She was partially sorry she had hit him so hard but it was to be expected. The men here were assholes and she wasn't about to bow down to men and any seeing would know that.
But Sam knew that it wasn't just a personal attack. They had a strange relationship. Most knew to stay away from her but he seemed dead set on staying close to her. She inwardly didn't mind it at all. In truth she liked him if she would ever be honest. The man had spunk. "Oh so you want me to buy you dinner? I thought it was the opposite. The man was supposed to wine and dine the woman. Get her drunk and enjoy the ends of that accomplishment. Hate to disappoint but I started early and had quite a bit of rum already so you are bit late, doll." She laughed softly at that. It was there typical way of speaking to each other. "And you are on duty tonight so getting you drunk would be very frowned upon. So that is minus the wining and dining, dear."
She could tell he was recovering quite a bit as he tried to straighten. She gave the witty response of not knowing what field he played for but in truth she did know. He had toyed with her quite a bit. Every chance he got he tried to seduce her into being nicer to him. No, not nicer in a way since he never complained about the way she treated him and others. He always took what she dished out with a strong man's grace. He was definitely made of some strong stuff. She in truth enjoyed his company quite a bit. Especially when they went on a scavenge together. She could remember the look at the other male faces as they heard she was going with them. Some made snide comments and even said they wouldn't mind her in their bedroll. She had snorted and said she'd bring the perfect protection. A gun or knife. Whatever she grabbed first and giggled at that.
Surprise though lit her eyes as he brushed the stray lock of hair behind her shoulder and she froze some after his words as he pressed his lips to her forehead. The gentle gesture stunned her for a moment. She closed her eyes for a moment before opening them. "Sam, now if that were true then you would be trying... Harder." She laughed softly at the innuendo. It was fitting and her mind came back. "Your tongue must have been dipped in sugar. Even honey is too bitter for your words." She gave him a smirk then and lifted a hand to pat him on the cheek while running her tongue teasingly over her lips.
But then he asked if she still couldn't sleep. "No, I am out walking because in the middle of the night is the best time and most fun time to do so." She grinned at that.

She continued the verbal sparring mentioning that she had already started drinking herself and that it would be his job to wine and dine. Truth be told, if they were in any other circumstances he would love to take her out and treat her right, although there was no way either of them would agree to live under vampire rule, so dinner and a movie was out of the question. Then she teased him about being on duty, truth was for her he’d be more than happy to call it a night right here where the two of them stood, especially knowing that she wasn’t going to be able to sleep again, no matter how tough she acted he knew she needed the company. Besides the other guard knew he was done for the night, the second he leapt down from the platform. Whilst it was true that he couldn’t exactly go and get drunk, he’d be more than happy to talk to her and attempt to ease the internal struggle that was causing her to panic. He knew all about her nightmares from the time they spent talking during various resources runs into Vegas, given that the two of them were given plenty of space by the other rebels they naturally gravitated towards each other.
Her comment about him trying harder was typical of her humour; she was clearly trying to deflect from the genuineness of his gesture. It was a defence mechanism on her part but it only served to fuel him in his quest to get to know her. Before he could do more than muster a simple smile in response to her comment she had continued, informing him his tongue was dipped in sugar. His eyes were drawn to her lips as she teasingly ran her tongue over them at the same time touching his cheek. He could feel his heart lift a little inside his chest as she stroked his cheek, such a simple action and yet it brought him such joy. He knew he had feelings for her but he hadn’t realised just how deeply they ran. The overall feeling of the encounter was brought back down to earth as she retorted with another witty remark about why she was still up. They both knew that Sam was merely concerned about her, but this was her way of dealing with feelings, he was more than used to it by now. It was one of the things that led to people misunderstanding her and not seeing her for just how special she was, a problem Sam didn’t have.
Still even if he was slightly upset at her snarky remark, which he wasn’t her smile would have melted him moments later. He knew it was weird for him to allow himself to be affected so much by a simple smile but the truth was, he had no control over it whatsoever. He gently brought his hand down her arm, softly brushing her skin before taking her hand inside his own. “I’m serious Be, I’m here if you ever need anything, don’t ever hesitate to ask.” His eyes met hers, this time his face conveyed a seriousness that he hadn’t shown in a while. He wasn’t attempting to scare her, no far from it, he was attempting to reassure her, let her know that even though it was clear she could hold her own, that he was still there for her. He wasn’t just after a quickie, something to brag about to the other guards, not that he actually talked to them, no to him she was perfect, she was that thing that men searched there whole life’s for. And here she was, in front of him, all he had to do was find the words to convince her he was good enough for her, but the truth was he didn’t think he was, so he would do the next best thing and be there for her.
He realised that the other guard was watching them now as he grasped her hand inside his own and yet he couldn’t care less. She was the only thing that mattered to him in this camp, so as far as he was concerned the guard could go to hell. “You are so beautiful.”

Bebe had always been like this. How many times when they tried to teach her did she end up in a verbal spar with someone? It wasn't that she was cruel or anything. It was more that she liked the sparring and it made things easier for her. Being left alone through the years she could think through most things and come up with a feasible plan. Her father was gone quite a bit and her mother had always been too busy or told her that girls didn't act the way she did. That they were supposed to be demur and sweet in nature. You got more flies with sugar than vinegar. What did she want with flies? She had always thought and snorted.
Her mother had given up on her and then to top it off her father and mother would fight. Her mother would say he wasn't teaching her right. That little girls were supposed to be sewing and cooking and her father would proudly voice that he wanted more for his daughter. He wanted her to be able to shoot and not run in fear. He wanted her to be able to give a punch or kick and not stand there frozen and ending up dying. That he wanted her to FIGHT for what she wanted. Her father had always been proud of her. He had always had her back even with her own mother. He had taught her how to survive. He loved her mother but didn't agree with her.
She blinked back her thoughts. She missed her father and even with all that she was capable of it had felt like holes were left without being filled. She was brought back by the gentle touch of Sam's as he brought his hand down along her arm and then the gentle touch as he took her hand inside his own. She knew he was quite the strong man and was surprised by how gentle he was with her. So many misunderstood him but she knew deep down he had a heart. Either that or he was trying to manipulate her but knowing Sam he ran head long into things so the manipulation wasn't true. He didn't think things through he always attacked first. He had always gone straight for what he wanted and never had second thoughts.
She heard his words and her eyes sharpened as she looked up into his eyes almost as if she were trying to read them and look deep down into his soul. His face held sincerity as did his eyes. She shifted on her feet as she continued to meet his eyes. "I will let you know if I need a shoulder, Sam." She spoke for once with a sweetness rather than coldness or aloofness. No meanness at all was in her words. She gave him a slight smile and didn't even try to pull her hand away from his as he captured her hand in such a gentle way that it seemed almost natural. But then her eyes widened at his words but she didn't know how to respond to the words. "Umm... Thank you. You aren't so bad on the eyes yourself." She murmured softly almost shyly for once.

She would let him know if she needed a shoulder to cry on, he knew she wouldn’t but the words comforted him a little. The tone of her voice shifted; for once she was being her true self, the kind and sweet girl that Sam knew. She masked her temperament well behind a veil of anger and hardness attempting to fit in with the bravado that oozed from all the guards. Sam knew he was one of the few that had seen past her facade and he loved the fact that she let him in. She smiled and left her hand inside his, allowing him to hold hers and caress it lovingly. Of course the facade thing went both ways, these days you needed to be cold and heartless to survive or to command any respect from the other guards or in Sam’s case at least pretend to be. He had no problem acting that way with the others, but he couldn’t bring himself to lie to Bebe. He wanted to be himself around her, he didn’t feel the need to lie to her, she was the one person he trusted enough to be vulnerable with. Her eyes widened as his words fell out, he wasn’t sure how’d she react to them but he needed to say them. He had wanted to let her know since the first day they met, often finding anger welling up as others attempted to mistreat her. Of course he couldn’t directly come out and act against them for their actions, he held back and dealt with most of them at a later date. Whether it would be earning their rations at poker or winning other forms of bets leaving them to cover his shifts, he was sneaky that way he always got revenge in the end. The words felt natural leaving his tongue, she was in fact beautiful and he needed to let her know. It wasn’t out of lust, but love that made him share how he felt and he hoped she realised that. Her words escaped her luscious lips bashfully, he had almost embarrassed her with his openness, and her response was laced with shyness. The two of them had always playfully flirted with each other around the base and whilst on scavenge missions and he was certain she saw it as just that, a way to pass the time. But to him it was far more than that, he treasured every moment he spent with her.
“I’m serious Be, you are truly wonderful and I just thought you should know that. Your heart and your strength are amazing; it inspires me just being near you.” His eyes immediately dropped to the ground as his head turned to the left; he knew that if he kept looking at her the words would continue to fall out of his mouth unchecked. He couldn’t allow his feelings to flow forth unchecked so he began walking away, her hand still in his until it slowly started slipping.

Bebe knew she shouldn't be acting like this. She was the only one of the guardians that was female. The only one now at least and have been since she had been a guardian and before. They weren't sure what to make of her but she sure didn't give people the chance to get close but Sam seemed to by pass all of that. Even with her most evilest of talking. She had given Sam quite a few tongue lashings since she had first met him. She knew she hid behind her facade but that facade had become her in so many ways. She was quite content behind her walls that she had created but Sam had seen through them and treated as such. But Sam as well seemed not to hide behind his own tough facade with her. She had seen him plenty of times wiping them clear on a poker table or making bets of them doing his shift. She rarely played the games even though she knew how to play them.
Her eyes had widened when she had heard his words and she didn't know how to react to them other than be shy. Most treated her rather badly figuring they had to make her prove over and over again that she was their equal. That she could fight along side of them daily and nightly. That she had trained with them. It took some men longer to realize than others that she would be right there beside them in most things. Sam was the exception and she had known it. The touch of his hand with her own was comforting rather than how most tried to grab at her. His touch was more comfortable than uninvited. It was a touch of something nice rather than of being uncalled for. She liked feeling his hand against her hand. She adored Sam but she never thought he did the same way. She had always felt like he was different from the other guardians that she had always known.
She heard his next words and her lips parted in surprise once more. His eyes left her she saw and he began to walk away letting his hand slowly slip from her hand and she saw the other guardian looking curious before she began to match Sam's steps. "You living after that, Sam?" She gave him a smile. "Why don't you come walk with me? Might be better than..." Her voice rose so the other guardian could hear her. "The other losers you've been hanging around with. I'm surprised you haven't clobbered them yet." She then took his hand in her hand and looked up at him as she perked an eyebrow. He could say no and walk away again or say yes and still walk with her. It was up to him. She didn't care what the other guardians thought of her at all. And she did truly enjoy Sam's company.

Sam had began walking away, his mind racing almost as fast as his heart was beating within his chest. He had been holding back those words for so long that he thought he would feel relieved by their exit from his lips and yet he was more worried now. He almost instantly regretted saying those words, how would she react? How could they be friends now that he had opened up in such a way, he was a guardian, he was supposed to protect everyone here not go around showing how vulnerable he truly was. He had managed just a few steps before he heard her voice calling out, asking if he was going to leave after that. His head instantly pivoted towards her as his steps ground to a halt. She was smiling, that was a welcomed surprise, after all he had no idea how she was going to react to him. Then she extended the offer to join her on her walk, there was no way he could turn her down not after what he had just said, nor did he want to if truth be told.
Of course her invitation was delivered with her trademark subtlety as she raised her voice allowing the other guards within ear shot to hear her insults. There was no denying that she was blunt at times but it added to her charm and before he could even get a word out in response she had took his hand in her own. Her eyebrow moved ever so slightly as she began leading him away to wherever it was that she intended to walk. The gentle touch of her skin against his hand warmed his insides, had she accepted everything he had said just moments ago? Not that it mattered he met the gaze of the other guards on duty as they glanced towards them, only to overt said gaze when Sam glared back at them. The delight that he felt at the situation masked by the fake glare he used to intimidate his fellow soldiers, at least momentarily.
She hadn't responded to his words, was she playing with him? He pushed the thought straight out of his mind, he realised that she wasn't one to play games and that in fact when it came down to it she was against them. Whatever it was she felt for him, he would find out in due time, for now he would just have to enjoy her company. "So be, where exactly are we going?"

Bebe watched as he began to walk away. Her hand continued to hold his until the tips of her fingers slid along his hand before dropping to her side. She knew she hid her feelings beneath ice cold hatred and freezing eyes. Very few could see how bad everything had hit her. She had been barely more than an orphan. Her father's friend who was like a brother to her father took her in here at Haven and treated her like the daughter he never had up until the day he died. Sam had always been around. She could always feel his eyes on her even when she wasn't talking to anyone and only one was still of the living. They had grown old and died on her or the fighting killed them. Valerian. He had taken over the role of being father to her though he now had his own family.
She moved and took his hand once more as she insulted those around them. She didn't care. It kept them from trying to pull stuff with her. She didn't want anyone getting ideas about her and she knew Sam would help her keep it that way. She saw the glare he threw at the others and couldn't help but grin. With all things considered he always did treat her as an equal even though she was the only female guardian at the moment. Her hand in his felt right but she had kept clear of most of the males preferring to fight than to enjoy sex. She had a few lovers but they all ended badly. They wanted a woman to have sex with not an equal or to tell stories of their conquest. She did as she always did beat the shit out of them in practice.
"Why have a marked destination when destination unknown is so much better?" But then she decided to tease him and grinned more. "Or are you hoping we can slip into a dark corner and get to know each other better?" She whispered before giving a soft husky laugh as she continued to walk.

Why have a marked destination? well it was a fair question and he didn't really have an answer for it. He had to agree that sometimes it was better to just enjoy the journey rather than worry about where you were headed. Perhaps it was the sense of mystery that followed not knowing, but either way it didn't matter as long as he was finally spending time with Bebe. He had spent the years watching her move through a selection of men, each one worst than the last, she never had much luck with the partners she chose. It didn't matter what he thought about any of them, because he was nothing more than a friend, though he had made an effort to stay out of their way whilst they were with her. He had brawled with one or two of them in training but he had ensured that it was a few months after their mutual split. He enjoyed the sparring, letting the odd punch land a little more squarely than it should and winking generally set most of the men off. He was certain it was something to do with their insecurities and he took pleasure in setting them off just enough so that he could hurt them with due cause.
Then she whispered, her words lightly slipping from her temptous lips as she teased him, suggesting that he would prefer slipping off to a dark corner where they could get to know each other better. Her sumptuous laugh caused his whole frame to tingle, there was something about the way that she was openly flirting with him. He raised his eye brow ever so slightly, but enough that it was visible, after all she wasn't the only one who could be a tease. He had a hold of her hand and he stopped in his tracks waiting for her to turn to see what the problem was. Once she had turned to face him, he gently placed his other hand on her hip and drew her close. They were so close now that their bodies were pressed against one another, he slowly leaned in. The tension was palpable, he could almost taste the anxiety as his lips got closer to hers. He stopped mere inches away and gazed into her eyes, attempting to read her mood. The chemistry between the two of them was undoubtedly there, he moved forward ever so slightly and yet still managed to hold back the touch of his lips from hers.
As he remained in place, he could feel her breathe warming his face before he pulled away at the last moment and instead chose to whisper in her ear. "Since when did you get shy? who needs the cover of the shadows for us to know each other? I've known you since I was 5 years old B." With that he released her hip and led her away in the direction they had been heading, still clasping onto her hand.

Bebe could tell he didn't have an answer to her question by him staying quiet. She generally enjoyed walking around at night like this even considering that the monsters were real and were outside of this place. She still couldn't believe her parents were dead and that she had moved in here. Granted she had made a good name for herself but she wished that her father could see her now. Her father would have wanted her to settle down by now but she was still putting herself at risk for the cause and to in a way get revenge.
She whispered her teasing words and smiled all sweet and innocent. Her eyes danced with glee and wickedness. She saw him raise his eyebrow before he stopped and she came to a stop and turned to look at him wondering why he had stopped all of a sudden. But then he placed a hand on her hip and drew her to him. Curiously she looked up at him and watched as he slowly leaned in. Was he going to kiss her? The tense anticipation was between them and her lips parted some as if she wanted to feel that kiss and her blue eyes though widened some. His lips so close to her own made her want to press more into him to feel that kiss.
But the kiss never came as he moved away to whisper in her ear and her eyes narrowed. "Too true but I have grown up if you haven't noticed, Sam. I'm not five anymore and we don't play with sticks as swords. I'm not the imaginative pirate anymore." She laughed some though the sound was husky having been basically thrumming with anticipation had her wanting now. She was walking again even though she wanted to stop him and kiss him. Hadn't he kissed her once when they were younger? Experimenting in a way. Hold still she had said and placed her lips against his puckering her lips some and she had said ewww yuck! "I don't think of kisses as yucky anymore. Gasp shock shock." She snorted at that. "You decide on a place we are going then?"

Her words reached his ears and he couldn't help but smile, of course he had noticed that she wasn't five anymore. Everyman in the camp had noticed how she had developed into a beautiful woman over the years and yet that wasn't what attracted him to her. Obviously her looks didn't hurt but Sam had known her for all those years, he could see past the cold exterior that she put on for everyone. He knew deep down inside she was still the kind hearted girl that played pirates with him when they were children, their history together was what made him feel so close to her. The way she had reacted to his kiss teasing, confirmed his suspicions, perhaps she held feelings beyond friendship for him as he clearly did her. Then she almost whispered that she didn't think kisses were yucky anymore, it took him a moment before his mind caught up to something she had clearly been thinking about. Something that happened when they were kids, couldn't have been more than 8 or 9, but she had kissed him. Of course, she had reeled away and claimed it was yucky, Sam had thought about that day a few times over the years.
Then she handed control of what they did to Sam, honestly he had no idea of where they should go or what they should do. He was happy just spending time with Bebe, "You know Bebe, I never thought it was yucky." With those words, he moved ahead of her and began walking across the grounds of Haven, he knew that would get her thinking. Thoughts of that day continued to race through his mind , that along with all the other time he had spent chatting with her over the years. A few moments had passed before he spoke again, when they stopped they were in the middle of the grass area. There was a flattened area of grass in the middle, that he automatically walked towards before setting himself down and admiring the moons light that bathed the area. "So Bebe, anything you want to talk about?" He patted the space beside him with his hand, offering her the space to sit beside him.

Bebe saw his smile and gave a frown. Oh boy, she really was sticking her foot in it. She brought her hand up and pushed her hair back from her face with a sigh. What was she doing? This was Sam. Sam her friend. The guy that had grown up with her in a way. When her father was busy with Nikolas she had been playing with Sam. Wooden sticks made to be swords and her a pirate and him another pirate trying to steal her ship. He had always been good to her even when her parents had died while she was here. She could remember finding her father's bow in her home and had always wondered if Sam had gone to get it from what was left. She could remember the kiss they had shared at a young age when she had been curious about kissing. In truth she had liked it but when you are younger you think kissing was terrible. It hadn't popped his ego none over the years though. She had heard stories of his kisses and more since then.
But then she gasped at his words of telling her that the kiss hadn't been yucky to him. But before she could respond he was already walking. Did he really just say that to her? The kiss wasn't yucky to him? Was it good or okay then? But she had to begin to walk again and she followed him as quickly as she could. "Was it bad then? Okay? Good?" She asked as she caught up to walking beside him. She stood over him with a hand on her hip for a moment before taking the seat he offered and crossed her ankles letting her legs be out in front of her. "Yes, no... Err... Maybe." She tilted her head. "You are still such a pirate!" She laughed softly.
