Physical Description: A tall, muscular, African man with very lightly colored eyes. His eyes and teeth are striking against the deep brown of his skin and dark hair. Donovan can always be found to be in formal business dress, namely dark three-piece suits. His favorite colors to wear are deep red, charcoal and occasionally gold, but he doesn't like to wear jewelry, so it's mostly metallic-fabric.
Attitude: Since his time spent fighting in the Crusades, Donovan has come to gain a new respect for life (and un-life) and it's value to those who possess it. His realization that great power brings great responsibility has earned him a great deal of respect in not only the vampyric community, but also the city-dwelling humans as well. As long as the human's pay their monthly tax of blood, they have no problem with Mr. Sawyer. But if they decline, than his typically generous nature turns to dust and he is inclined to take what he is owed.

History:
Ahek Ahheru, born to a noble Egyptian woman and a Syrian general who was in Egypt during the invasion just before the true crusades of Jerusalem began. Their mating wasn't exactly consensual on the part of his Egyptian mother, but her father (his grandfather) thought that perhaps it would give them a good start should Syria be successful in their conquest of the homeland. He hoped this wouldn't be the case, but was prepared to jump ships with his daughter in the event that it did.
However, he didn't get the chance. Egypt was then invaded by a whole new threat in the form of Ferusalem. The two powers buffered against one another as Ahek came of age in the desert sand. He learned to fight and speak well as a result of his continued exposure to generals and foriegn figures passing through the major nile river delta hub. Eventually, the fighting grew bad enough to effect his family and claim his mother and the young man was prompted by force to join the frey.
It wasn't until approximatrepely ten years after he left Egypt to fight in Jerusalem that he was turned into a vampire by a woman who called herself a Lilu (or daughter of Lilith) He traveled toward Europe a little ways at a time before settling in Scottland and taking the name Donovan Sawyer to replace his old obviously arabic name.
From Scottland he moved to America and lived in California until the catastrophies began happening, pushing him inland toward New Vegas where he currently resides.
