“No, no, Kait please!” Thor beat on the solid steel, vampire proof door after it slammed and the locks were turned. “KAIT! I swear, I only slept with him the one time!” He could feel the pull of the coming sun and turned to see the dim light on the horizon. His bare back tingled and the wind blew his black silk pajama bottoms against his muscular legs. He turned back to the door, “Kait! This isn’t funny! The sun! KAIT!” he shouted then looked back at the horizon with fear. Obviously she was serious about this. He had totally fucked up and she was not coming back. He was on the roof of the penthouse now, staring his fate in the face. He wasn’t ready to die, even if he did just lose the best thing to ever happen to him. A bloody tear ran down his cheek. He didn't have time to think about this, he needed to move.
He quickly moved around to the other side of the roof entrance and looked for a place to hide from the sun. There he saw roofing paper and a small crevice between the roof entrance wall and the maintenance shed. He grabbed the roofing paper and crammed himself into the crevice as well as he could and covered himself with the black paper until he had nothing showing. He knew, however, if he fell asleep, the paper would fall away and he would be a crispy critter. This posed a problem. At his age, he could force himself to stay awake but he was going to end up with the bleeds.
The bleeds are a condition where, when a vampire does not sleep, he bleeds from the nose, mouth and ears. The exact cause of this is unknown, but it is not a pretty sight. Thor could feel the suns effects but sat in such a way that he could hold the black paper in place and lean back. With concentration he could keep himself awake until night or until someone found him. And someone better fucking find him. He is the council leader. Someone should fucking notice he is gone, even if it’s a lowly blood slave.
He had been a fool. A fool to think he could be tied down to one person. He was a fool to think he could keep his ‘other’ appetites at bay and stay sexually faithful to only one woman and be expected to stay away from his delicious male blood slaves. Sex always made feeding that much better. Still, that did not keep him from feeling the sorrow of his loss. More bloody tears slid down his face. He leaned his had back and sighed. Hopefully, he couldn't be here long.

From the top floor of his casino, in a room walled mainly with windows, Gabriel Kingman could see parts of New Vegas falling asleep, and others just about to wake up as the sun rose. He was about to close the sun shutters and head to his underground bedroom, as the sky changed from its dull grey pre-morning light and was hit with large streaks of orange and red. If there was one thing that the old vampire missed from his human life it was the ability to watch the sunrise. Of course, the sentiment was quite cliche to the warrior and he would never truely express it.
As Gabe walked from one side of the room to the other he caught site of the casino owned by Thor Ericsson, leader of the vampire council. The Valhalla.
Kingman knew that while his own casino raked in a fair amount and he was certainly not the lowest earning casino owner in the city, Ericsson owned his biggest competition. The viking and the knight were seperated by just half a century of life, born in countries not so far from each other. Despite their considerably close heritage the two vampires held a certain indifference to each other(not counting Thor's annoyance with Gabriel's arrogant nature, which was shared with most of the council).
Looking at the magnificent casino not far from his own Gabriel noticed a movement on the roof.
Squinting slightly, he saw Ericsson himself hammering on the roof door.
Gabe's eyes widened in surprise. The council leader was locked out of the casino as the sun slowly began to brighten the dark city. With little hesitation Gabe picked the phone up from its cradle and turned the dial until it finally started ringing. The VSF operator on the other end asked him what the problem was.
"Thor Ericsson, Head of the Magistrate, is locked out on the roof of The Valhalla casino. The sun is rising. Get your asses moving!"

Angelique had been standing in a room she adored. The shades wide open since she always had enjoyed the view of Valhalla. She wasn't nosy. It was that she enjoyed the architecture of the building that stood proudly next to her own. Thor and her had an understanding in a way. She got most of her business from the other casinos since she offered the entertainment of women and men aplenty. Some of her clientele would go to their casinos and then wanting more come to hers or vice versa. It was a good thing. She never lost money from it either.
But then she was seeing Thor on the rooftop as she looked up. She knew it was him by the manner of dress. Strange. Especially with the sun coming up. She made her way up to her rooftop putting a blade in the door to keep the door unlocked so she didn't have to fish for the right key to the lock. She was dressed in a red silk nightgown since she liked to be comfortable and being in her casino it wasn't about what you wore but what you took off really.
"THOR?! What the hell you doing out with the sun coming up?" But he was already hiding himself in the... Wall? She blinked and ran inside remembering how Marcel had saved her from when she had tried to daywalk. Was that what Thor was doing? Daywalking? She tried to remember what Marcel had used to protect her skin from the daylight. Blankets? Yes, two of them.
She grabbed the blankets and began to run for the door as one of her blood slaves went to go inside seeing the coming day and was going to close the curtains. "What are you doing, Angelique? You need to stay inside and safe." Angelique spoke as she ran. "Don't tell me what to do!" The slave ran out and Angelique figured to go tell Gabriel what Angelique was doing. She grabbed the knife and pushed it back into where she had to keep the door from locking.
She wrapped the blankets around herself as she calculated the distance. She got to the other side of the building and ran before she jumped. She didn't quite make it but held tight to the blankets even as she hit the wall and began to climb the rest of the way up so damn fast that she was fighting the sleep that vampires needed when the sun came up. She wrapped the blanket about herself as she began to move along the building. "Thor..." She whispered angrily. "Where the hell are you?!"

Anika laid in her bed, sated both physically and sexually from her night with Aeron. Her pet was turning out to be worthwhile investment providing her with everything she was looking for in a no strings attached partner. He sang for her club and provided her with a means to satisfy all her urges, and in turn she provided him with a nice paycheck and the privilege of staying in her condo any time he wished to have some time away from his parents.
The night was quite a spectacular turn out, rendering Aeron exhausted to the point of sleep immediately after their rendezvous. Anika’s eyes roamed his gloriously nude body, taking in her favorite parts of it; from her favorite vein to drink from since it made him moan more while drinking from it down to the beautiful twin curves of his derriere noting with a smug satisfaction that all of it was glorious and one hundred percent hers. She rolled on her side, her black satin sheets sliding down as she hugged herself to him seeking the warmth his body would give her. She trailed the pads of her fingers down his side exercising caution to not run her sharp nails against him. He couldn’t afford to lose any more blood after the amount she had just taken. Normally he would have responded to her as soon he felt her against him but this time he slept oblivious to her presence. She made a mental note to utilize the bloodslaves for a few weeks, possibly a month before drinking from him again. She had drained him too much this time so it would take him longer to recover.
As Anika laid there alongside her lover she couldn’t help but notice how much her lover’s male half preferred her the most. The very first she came across Aeron he was in his “neutral” state; electing stay that way rather than pick a side. As she had watched him unnoticed he showed both his female half and his male half. Now that she picked him for a lover it seemed that unless she specifically asked for the female or neutral half he was male. Even while sleeping when she thought with nothing to influence him he would revert back to gender neutral. That was not the case. Perhaps her pheromones called to his male the most. She really didn’t care either way as long when she wanted one or the other he did as she commanded.
The phone ringing brought Anika out of the trance of her thoughts. Sighing she rolled over in the opposite direction that she was facing, immediately yearning for the warmth of Aeron’s body again. Answering the phone her voice resonated nothing short of pure venom.
“What is so important that it warrants calling me while my pet is with me?”
“My lady there is activity on the VSF lines. Apparently The Head of the Magistrate, Thor Ericsson, is on the roof of his building and has locked himself out. He has no way to get back in and the morning sun is quickly approaching. Gabriel Kingman saw it and has called the VSF to send a special team out to recover him.”
Anika couldn’t believe her ears. The ever so great Thor Ericcson was locked out of his own building right before sunrise. The Gods couldn’t have presented her a better opportunity had she been bitten on the ass by one. This was the perfect chance to eliminate him and secure herself the position of Head of the magistrate. There was no way Drake would pick someone other than herself to run the vampires of new Las Vegas. There was no one more suited. Surely Drake would pick her to lead the lot of them.
“My Lady what are your orders?” came a voice from the telephone snapping her back into the here and now.
“Send the Moors. This is the just the job for them. None other will do. Tell them their objective is to stop the VSF from reaching the Valhalla using any means necessary. Eliminate them if they have to. Have them make sure it appears as if they were attacked by a rebel cell. And remind them that if they become captured then they are to use plan omega. I will not have them cause any links to me. Have the Elite Six snipers on standby in the rooftops case one of the moors decide that they would rather live and try to spill secrets. If any of the moors does not use plan omega then they are to be eliminated by them. Got it?”
“Yes my lady I’ll have them dispatched immediately!”
Anika hung up the receiver and rose out of the bed to quickly shower and dress. Sure sleep was calling her, but she refused to sleep right now, bleeds be damned she would be ready for whatever was to come. Now that she released The Moors, her privately trained suicide group trained to take out any and every target Anika viewed as a threat to her ascension into power. In the event they were ever captured or unable to complete their mission they would use plan omega, a specialized pill developed by her scientist. When removed from its packaging the user has two minutes to consume it before the pill opens into a device that emits a bright light, killing the vampire inside out. Unbeknownst to The Moors Anika has a six man vampire sniper squad trained to eliminate them should they not follow through on their objective and are caught and do not or cannot use plan omega. With all she had at her disposal and with opportunity presenting itself she was sure that Thor Ericcson would be eliminated and she would be guaranteed his position as Head of the Magistrate. Know all she had to do was be ready and be prepared for any possible scenario to play out. Either way she needed to be ready to move.
Once Anika dressed in her thigh high black leather stiletto boots and her short hunter green quarter length wool knit dress she left her room and gave instructions to her one of her hall guards to see Aeron home safely once he was awake. She then made her way to her head man, Riz.
“Ready my daytime vehicle quickly and let’s be on the move. We need to be at the Valhalla prepared for any result to have happened. Either way I need to be prepared to take his spot or to show support to him if he makes it out alive. Let’s hope for the sake of me being in a good mood for the rest of the century that he doesn’t make it and I am chosen as the next head Magistrate.”
“Yes my Lady. The vehicle is already ready and waiting on you. Shall we proceed?” Riz responded, offering her his arm.
“Yes”
Anika took Riz’s arm and let him lead her to the vehicle where they drove off in the direction of the Valhalla.

"Mathias...that...was...unbelieveable..."
The techahuman laid next to the vampire. His sweat stricken body lied bare against the chief the VSF. His arms wrapped around his lover, wanting him to feel safe and comforted while he slept throughout the day. Reader felt like he was human right now...like he was able to live a life of his own. But more importantly, he feel like he could actually love. Granted; it was too soon to feel such things but Reader could love Mathias...it would just take time. As the sun began to rise; Reader gently kissed Mathias on the cheek and sighed softly, "Sleep Mathias...sleep the day away...have sweet dreams..."
Reader held the vampire against tighter until his vampire lover was sleep...dead asleep. The techahuman was about to close his eyes and sleep with his undead love but the phone rang. The telepath quickly but carefully removed himself from Mathias and ran to the phone. He answered the phone. The voice on the other end was frantic.
"Reader? What in the world are you doing with Mathias?! Whatever, there is an emergency. I need you and Mathias to go to the Vahalla. Thor Ericson is trapped on the roof. We must save him!"
Reader nodded, "Yes sir. We shall be there momentarily. Gather the squad and have them meet me in one minute outside of Mathias' building.. Bring my weapons." The techahuman slammed the phone down and looked back at Mathias. He looked peaceful...the telepath could not bear to wake him...nor did he want to endanger him. Mathias was the only person Reader cared about in this world...and he would not bring any danger to his lover. Reader would go alone...to protect Mathias.
Within a matter of moments, Reader slipped on his VSF gear consisting of bullet proof lined leather pants, boots, and vest. He did not bring his usual protective helmet but he did not care. His powers worked better without anything restricting the mental waves anyway. Reader grabbed his fully-loaded AK-47 and ran out of the apartment before reaching the exit. Waiting was a giant, black, armored hummer with the VSF logo. They were waiting. The techahuman ran into the hummer and opened the passenger side door before jumping in.
The car was filled with VSF officers, but there was an empty seat. Mathias' seat. The driver looked at Reader through his protective helmet, "Where is the chief?" Reader looked at the vampire with emotionless eyes. His heart beat was steady...no trace of a lie could be detected from his heart rate. "He shall meet us there. Now go!" With Reader's orders, the driver sped out of the building and to the site. While driving, Reader grabbed the weapons he asked the vampires to bring consisting of two loaded, semi-automatic handguns, two grenades, four throwing knives, a hunting knife, and last but not least, the VSF infamous UV-Ray flashlight.
Reader was more than prepared. Within moments, the squad reached the site and the techahuman grabbed his AK-47 before exiting the vehicle. As soon as the squad exited the armored car; an array of bullets began striking the car; piercing through the armor of the driver as the sunlight seeped through his suit...turning the vampire within to ash. Reader and the remaining officers hid behind the car and began shooting back. The enemies looked like VSF officers from afar, but Reader noticed the difference in the style of armor.
Reader had no time to figure out who they were. They were an obstacle Reader had to remove to save Thor. The telepath let out a roar as began shooting his automatic weapon. "Kill them all! There is no time to waste!" The techahuman continued to shoot but his bullets were of no use against the vampire enemy. Reader threw his gun on the cement floor as he took out the two grenades before releasing the chain and throwing them at the direction of the enemy, hearing an explosion and he looked over to see two of the enemies met their death.
The telepath took out his semi-automatic handguns and continued to fire. Two of his fellow officers charged at the enemy and before Reader could stop them, they were ravaged by the enemy. Now only three of them remained, Reader included. The vampire enemy began to charge at the remaining squad. The telepath grit his teeth. He had to kill them...he had to kill them all. He couldn't let any harm come to Mathias...
Five enemy vampires were upon them and Reader put his guns in their holsters. He closed his eyes and focused on releasing the mental shields within his mind. He had no choice but to use his abilities. As he opened his eyes, his fellow VSF officers were dead and Reader was surrounded by four members of the enemy. Their guns were pointed at the telepath but Reader showed no fear. He clenched his eyes...his eyes narrowed...and his abilities released.
He used his power to strike deep into the minds of the vampires...as if icy daggers were penetrating their skulls. The vampires howled in pain and fell to their knees. Before they could shoot, Reader threw his throwing daggers to each of the enemy's hands; making them drop their guns to the floor as the blade went through their protected hands. Sure, the gloves would protect them from sun light...but not from steel. Reader squinted his eyes and continued his mental attack and roared as he did so.
Blood began to run from the techahuman's nose but he persisted with the attack...he persisted to the point when the vampire's heads exploded...allowing the sunlight to enter their suits and turn them to nothing but ash. Reader collapsed on the ground and leaned his back against the car...well...what remained of it. The techahuman breathed heavily and began to pant, "Mathias..."

Tanisha walked into The Valhalla. Well her feet moved in the pattern of walking but no one could ever say that she 'just walked'; there was something about the way she moved that seemed effortless, graceful, predatory and down right sexy without any sort of conscience thought. She was looking for Thor Ericsson, a brief glance around the room was enough to determine that he was not there. There was still 20 minutes before sunup, surely he wouldn't be ensconced within already.
Shrugging she turned to leave, almost bumping into 3 vampire men standing behind her, like faithful puppy dogs waiting to do their master's bidding. She smiled sweetly, flashing her perfect white teeth at them. The much younger vampires almost wilted on the spot and she had to hold back a giggle, yes after all these years being drooled over by men still made her giggle like a school girl.
She lifted both of her hands and made a gesture at them like she was shooing away small children.
"Run away now, I have things to do" she stalked out of the casino with the 3 vampires following close on her heels. The valet rushed to open the door of her car, completely shielded from the sun in every way, the driver a human, a gift from Drake, this human man dedicated to seeing to her every whim. Once in the car she could see them but they couldn't see her. She sighed, some men were so willing that boredom seemed their only positive attribute.
As the car took off and the first rays of sunlight started to lighten the eastern sky, she realized that something wasn't quite right about the scene around the casino. If there was something of a bonus being a vampire and being that old had, it was a great sense of intuition.
As they drove away, she paid particular attention to the surrounds, she noticed that for the first few moments of daylight there was vampires in the shadows, her feeling of angst was confirmed when she saw a figure completely wrapped in blankets moving quickly jumping from the neighboring building and scaling the outer wall of the Valhalla. She spun her head around to watch where this heavily cloaked figure went only to see them climb the wall of the casino she had just left. She ordered the car around, demanding the driver take her back to the casino.
"NOW" she growled as he protested that the sun had nearly broached the horizon.
The car arched in a magnificent squeal of tires and returned back the block they had driven. As they approached the driveway at the entrance the car began to slow. She tutted with impatience. The sun was now peeking over the horizon sending reds and oranges across the sky.
"Floor it through the doors" she hissed, her human looked back at her for a brief instant then accelerated
The car mounted the stairs with some effort, the modified motor made to run from man-made fuel didn't have the oomph of the fuels of the old world. But it made it through the glass doors with a satisfying shower of glass. Several humans jumped back as the shielded car drove into the lobby.
Tanisha jumped out and looked around, slightly disorientated from their abrupt entry. She found what she wanted and headed for the stairs.
"WAIT" her driver shouted after her, struggling to undo his seat belt and reach for something in the back. He held up a folded silver colored blanket that looked like soft tin foil.
Tanisha skidded to a halt at his call and saw what he now clutched in his hand, she ran back to him and took it up with a kind smile "You are far too good to me" she murmured, reaching a finger up to swipe a smear of blood of his forehead from where he had hit his head on the steering wheel. She sucked her finger, flashed him a grin and ran for the stairs once again.
If her instincts were true, there was a vampire, or vampires now on the roof in what was to become full sunlight in a matter of moments. She mounted the stairs several at a time, moving with all the vampire speed she could muster. She reached the door to the roof, reached for the handle and was about to yank it open when she stopped.
"Way to go, go get yourself killed" she shook her head in a temper at herself.
She unfolded the blanket and wrapped it around herself, covering everything except her eyes. She reached for the handle, pulled it down and yanked and nothing happened.
"SHIT" she cursed as she fiddled with the deadbolts, she was wasting valuable seconds and they were locked with a key, she couldn't turn them.
In a fit of anger and rage she grabbed the locks and yanked at them, tearing the actually mechanism from the metal door, the sound of the metal squealing was enough to make even her teeth ache with the high pitched squeal. Finally freeing the door of the locks, wasting valuable moments.
Not worrying about the blanket, she had wasted enough time, she reached for the door handle and yanked the door open in a rush. The sunlight hit her skin and she felt it prickle at first before becoming a distinct burn. She looked at her arm and was certain she could see smoke starting to rise from her flesh.
She backed back away from the door quickly until she was well within the shadows, the light still made her skin prickle but the burning disappeared almost instantly. She was interested to see who was trapped on the roof, if her suspicions were correct she would be meeting Thor Ericsson as soon as he was inside and the door was securely closed.

Thor could feel the suns presence, making his lips droop but he knew he had to stay awake or he could die. He knew he had gotten himself into deep shit and was praying to the old gods which he never abandoned for the white Christ that he would get out of this, somehow, alive. Then, he heard movement. There was someone here. Was it Kait coming back to help him? Was she going to let him in? “Kait? Is that you?” he called out.
“Thor...Where the hell are you?!"
He recognized that voice. It was Angelique. His old friend and member of his council. Could it be that the sun was not up high enough to burn them yet? If she got up here, could she get back down? Without thinking, he lifted the tarpaper to look and took a full body shot of sunlight. He cried out painfully and pulled the paper back down. Pain consumed him. His flesh sizzled and continued to burn for a moment before it stopped, but not before a very large portion of his upper body, one leg down to his foot, and half his face was charred beyond recognition. Now, weakened, he could no longer fight the suns influence and with the severity of his burns, his body was no longer able to maintain conscious thought and he slipped into a deeper sleep than what was normal.
The rogue werewolves recieved the call from their mistress. The target was on the roof of the Valhalla and their orders were to grab him. It was only seredipity that when they climbed over the edge of the room there were not only the one coucil member but two of them. They heard the scream come from the vampire and looked over at his hiding place and laughed. The one who seemed to be in charge smiled viciously. Being daylight, they were all in human form, in wrinkled clothing and badly in need of a shave and a breath mint. "Well, well, what have we here? Two for the price of one?" he asked the vampiress in the blankets. "Get your mate before that paper blows off him and finishes what the sun started. And stay there, if you don't want to cook." He took out a walkie-talkie and spoke into it, "Sir, We're going to need two extraction units. Looks like we have two guests coming for dinner." he said and laughed roughly.

As the old knight watched through the window a thought struck him. If Thor died it was likely that the next eldest council member would take his place. That meant Gabe would be the Magistrate leader as he was just two years older than Anika Tulani, who was far more power hungry in his mind. However, the thought didn't last long as a second later his phone rang.
Picking it up Gabriel heard the panicked voice of one of Angelique's bloodslaves on the other end. "She's doing what!?" The vampire slammed down the phone and pressed himself against the window, trying to see if she was out there. Another thought flashed into Gabriel's mind. If he found a way to shield himself a little from the sun, then he could fly down and help the two out. He turned to look around the room, almost completely empty, save for a large, stately armchair and an end table beside it.
Turning back to the window the casino owner frowned, still trying to think of what he could do from such a distance, very little it seemed, other than what he had already done.
As he watched frustratedly Angelique appeared, covered by blankets. From the other side of the building, however a small group of people climbed onto the roof. Their shabby clothes and generally unkempt appearance led Gabe to believe that they might be werewolves. He hammered at the window, his face a picture of what could only be described as terror for the woman he loved. His voice was raised as he cursed noiselessly to the glass, closing the sun shutters quickly for fear of becoming cooked councilman as well.
He pulled the shutters, looking through the gap, gulping involuntarily and then wincing as the sun hit high on his cheekbone, leaving a small burn there. Gabriel cursed once more as he took a step back from the window, his teeth and fists clenched.

Angelique heard the scream and began to move closer to where Thor was hidden. She wasn't paying much attention but then she heard words from someone else and stopped. She turned to see who was speaking to her. Obviously this man... Werewolf didn't know her very well at all. She never listened to anyone really. Not even Thor at times. Thor knew it and generally found it quite funny really. She was the rebellious one but never harmful to those that were of the council members or her friends and employees. They were safe from her wrath.
She stared out at the werewolf and even let a fanged grin come forth. "Alright... Let me go get my mate since he is across the way and by the way my blood slaves reacted to my daylight strolling he will be called on what I am doing. You though won't be alive long enough to see daylight or night fall again. Thor... I am finding myself wanting to draw some blood..." She continued to hide from the sun in the blankets. But hidden in the folds of the blanket was a blade that had been on her thigh. Most expected a near naked woman to not be carrying at all.
She had to think though and she moved closer to Thor slowly as she hugged the blankets about herself for a moment before she stood facing Thor. She held the blankets open enough so that Thor could get inside with her. "What do you plan to do with us?" She let her voice quiver as if she were afraid. In truth this was going to be tricky and very dangerous. Not a position she hasn't been in before now. She looked at Thor with hooded eyes. "Come on... Mate." Her lips twisted in a wicked grin. Don't drink werewolf blood didn't mean you couldn't tear their throats out, right?
She was furious to be stuck in this predicament. The sun up and she was stuck out here rescuing a friend. Where the hell was the other council members? Blood slid down along her cheeks and along her neck. She was fighting sleep and cranky as hell. She had to think past the call of sleep. "Thor..." She whispered softly. Where was the VSF? Was this a way of getting rid of Thor? Where did this leave her? She wrapped her arms with the blankets about Thor's unconscious body .
"Gabriel..." She whispered softly. Where was Gabriel? She began to whisper so softly a song. "A last fire will rise behind those eyes Black house will rock, blind boys don't lie Immortal fear, that voice so clear Through broken walls, that scream I hear Cry, little sister - Thou shall not fall Come to your brother - Thou shall not die Unchain me, sister - Thou shall not fear Love is with your brother - Thou shall not kill..." Cry Little Sister. She tilted her head as if looking over her shoulder. Her blood began to drip on the roof with a thud at least to her.
She was having a hard time thinking with the sleep that was making her exhausted. Think of a song. Keep singing it. Wasn't that what a friend had said? "Blue masquerade, strangers look on When will they learn this loneliness? Temptation heat beats like a drum Deep in your veins, I will not lie Little sister - Thou shall not fall Come to your brother - Thou shall not die Unchain me, sister - Thou shall not fear Love is with your brother - Thou shall not kill..."
Bullshit. She would kill these bastards. "My Shangri-Las I can't forget Why you were mine... I need you now..." But then she grabbed a piece of the wall and took it off. "I don't do what I'm told... Ever." She murmured. "Just ask my mate. He'll tell you I'm the coldest bitch to walk this world. I won't die... But I won't guarantee that I won't take out a few of you even if I do. I'm not going to Hell alone. I plan to take a few down with me." She spoke in such a soft whisper.
"Where do sinners go when all of Hell is full? Heaven's vacancies aren't made for women like me." She turned then with or without Thor. Thor could slip in behind her if he wanted to. She planned to fight. Most had said she was born in the wrong time. They said she would made the perfect Amazon. She swiped with the sharp edge of the wall that she had taken with her. If she needed her blade she would use it but better to keep hidden that until you could actually use it.
She hissed as the skin of her hand and wrist started to burn where the sun's rays hit her hand. She ended up throwing the piece of the wall at the werewolf and waited to see how the werewolf reacted. Speed was the name of the game. Werewolves lacked the same blurring speed of a vampire. They needed to run. She was pretty sure the werewolf would probably laugh and hit her but that would bring him close enough for her to use her weapon. She wanted to take down at least the leading bastard before getting away. Her eyes shown with her anger as they bled along her cheeks.
But then she heard the shot come near them and she looked out the blanket towards her building. One of her men all in white stood there and saluted her. She had known him forever. He had become one of her dancers at the club but everyone knew he was the coldest killer in the place. They had dubbed him Angelique's Hand of Death. His hair was long and black as can be. He rarely talked and she didn't know exactly what he was but the other nickname they had given him was Vengeance.
He had protected her after Marcel and her had split company. "Looks like you are in need of a hand." He yelled with sarcasm full in his voice. When he did talk though it was full of sarcasm. He laid on Lust's roof and took aim. "Touch her and I'm taking your hand off next. And I will work from there. Cry little sister! Come to your brother! Little sister - Thou shall not fall Come to your brother - Thou shall not die Unchain me, sister - Thou shall not fear..."
Angelique knew he was waiting for her orders and pretty much asking her to let him do as he pleased. "You are getting your clothes dirty, Veng!" He laughed at that and she could hear him perfectly clear. "That be okay, little sister! Get your ass outta there. Let your Veng get your vengeance!" His deep voice was always calming. "You ready to make a hasty exit, Thor?" She murmured softly. She knew these werewolves would think that Vengeance would be taken down easy being only one man. But she had seen him all bloody and cut up and healing as he shot at and stabbed at men bigger than him.
She could tell his eyes were glued to every movement on Valhalla's roof and nothing would escape him unless he wanted it to or if he had the order to let it live. She was weakening with every moment she spent on the roof. "Shall I make you a walk way with a carpet of hot blood for you to walk through, Ang?" She laughed softly at that. "Their blood?" She knew he had grinned at that. "Of course. Wouldn't do if I had to take orders from some asshole that took your spot. I'd be walking the fuck out after skinning and hanging him. Someone taking your spot. Fuck that! My sister in blood baths will not die!" She could heard the sarcasm and laughter in Vengeance voice as he spoke again. "By the way, you might want to note that boy there is out cold. Might seem you haven't lost all of your mind if you quit talking to him. "
Angelique looked down as if she needed the reminder. "Oh shut up! I'm supposed to be sleeping! It isn't my fault I'm not thinking properly!" Vengeance laughed softly. "I was starting to wonder if you were turning out to be like that cowboy that talks to himself as well! You need to pick better company, Ang. This company ain't cutting it." She threw him a glare. "Though I must say the cowboy does entertain. Saw him setting a table and pulling out a chair for somebody that wasn't there!"
She proceeded to bend down and lift Thor's body up while holding the blankets about the both of them. "Shut up, Veng! I'm warning you!" She hissed out. "Aww no one has a sense of humor anymore." She heard the gun go off again. "Didn't I say no one interrupt me? Fucking piss ants. Werewolves. Disgusting breed. Flea mongrels is more like it." Angelique looked over at Vengeance as she held onto Thor. "I thought you were a werewolf..." Vengeance glared. "Hell no! Fuck that. I don't itch or turn into a wolf. I prefer what I am to that. Still not answering, Ang. Get over it."

Anika’s daytime vehicle was of the upmost security; armor plating, onyx black windows and partitions, and a panic button that ensures if pressed no one could enter or exit the doors or windows. The panic button would cause thick steel rods to engage in all joints of the doors and trunk and steel plating would covers all windows and an oxygen system would engage at the same instant. It was a magnificent piece of automotive artistry. It was top of the line and nothing less than what Anika deserved; when one made enemies one had to stay guarded.
Riz was all business and no play when it came to working for Anika and for that she was immensely grateful; not that she would admit to it. He hauled ass to the Valhalla, driving with a Formula One Driver’s speed and stealth. What normally was a twenty minute drive was reduced to a mere eight minutes. It was quite possibly a new record for Riz and although bringing a smile to Anika’s cherub-like face she could help but fight at the desire to close her eyes and sleep the day away. She ignored the thought, bleeds be damned and waited while Riz parked in the special parking lot designated at the Valhalla for daytime departure and emergency vampire exits and quickly opened the door for her to exit. Once out he immediately walked ahead of her as they made their way to the elevator that took them to the Casino Proper.
Once inside it was then that she debated on how to approach the situation. Anika had to be able to play either side of the coin. On one side she needed to be prepared to accept the title of Head of the Council if it becomes confirmed that Thor met the true death. But on the other side she needed to appear to be a concerned member of the council, prepared to assist the Head of the council in any way that she possibly could. She placed a hand to both sides to reconfirm her guns were still strapped to each of her thighs. The clips of both Semi-automatic pistols were filled with solid silver slugs in the event of a werewolf encounter. The mangy bastards had a habit trying to take out Vampires in power in an attempt to usurp the vampire control over New Vegas. Anika hadn’t worked as hard as she had these past centuries to be taken out by a mutt so she always went hot.
It was a hard decision to make for the Councilwoman. Power was a craving she desired for far too long. How easy it would it be to call up the Elite Six and have them take out the Council Leader while he was out in the rising sun fighting off the death sleep and meeting the true death; it had to look like he met the true death and not taken out.
Anika glanced around while debating on what she would do and noticed a cleaning cart piled with large heavy blankets on their way up to hotel rooms to be switched out. A light clicked in her head and flashed over to cart, pulling off the blankets and racing for the elevator to the top floor.
“Where are you going Anika?!” Riz yelled as he rushed into the elevator behind her right before it closed.
“I have an idea. Here take this blanket and cover yourself completely, no exposed skin.” She said as she handed him one of the many blankets she grabbed. “We are going to confirm the leader is burnt to a crisp. If he is not he won’t be for long.”
The elevator could not move fast enough in Anika’s opinion…
Once it stopped she rushed out of the elevator and headed for the stairs that led to the roof. She thought of rushing the door but then thought against it and instead slowlt turned the handle of the door and cracked it open to check on the status of the sun. Damn she was sleepy and sun kept calling out to her but she needed to see this through. The crack was all it took to know that this was turning out like she had planned. She heard several noises. She could distinctly make out Councilwoman Angelique’s voice, the deep, rich, deliciously husky voice of a man vehemently disputing that he himself is a werewolves and the sounds of two others….from the sounds of it they were the actual werewolves. Damn it! Why could anything go the way she planned? Thorn was still alive, Angie was helping him out of this mess, the werewolves were talking about taking the two of them hostage and the other was chiding the councilwoman. Now she had no choice but to assist in retrieving Thor since nothing good could come from the werewolves taking him. She normally wouldn’t really care either way about the councilwoman’s safety. But since she was uniquely pregnant and it supposedly being fathered by more than one the baby might actually prove to be useful so she would need to be saved as well.
Anika pulled one of her P290 Laser SIG’s from her its holster and prepared herself for the worst situation possible. Either way she was going to look good in the end and for that she was damned sure.

Nathan was lounging in bed after a long night at the poker tables. It was a long difficult job to stand for 12 hours and deal poker. He made good tips and was happy to be able to put more chips in the piggy bank toward an upgrade in the living arrangements he and Amanda had. He wanted the world for her. He wanted everything. He needed to give her everything. He turned on the old tube television to look at the morning bulletins before bed and was surprised to see that there was something going on at the Valhalla on the roof. What could it be?
Then he got the gist of it. His it seemed his boss and another council member were trapped on the roof and there was a kidnapping attempt in progress. Amanda wasn’t home from work yet. He had no choice. He knew he could help. He had to. He didn’t even bother to change out of his work suit. He stepped outside and shot into the air. He flew high enough that no one would see him until he could get a good look at what was going on. He flew around then dipped down just enough to see one man with a gun on several other men and two vampires in very dangerous situations.
Well that didn’t seem to fair. Now was he going to do this without being discovered as to his identity. Speed. If he moved fast enough, no one would be able to see who he was. It didn’t occur to him that the two vampires would remember his scent should they ever smell him again. He was too pumped to think about that. He suddenly dove in a blur, straight down then across so he could pass over the building. As he did, he grabbed one of the werewolves and summarily dropped him over the edge as he disappeared into the distance.
“WHAT THE FUCK!” the leader shouted as the other werewolves barked in protest. “Who was that? What was that?” he sniffed the air, “It ain’t a fucking vamp.” He sniffed the air again, “The FUCK was that??” He raised his gun at Angelique, “Tell me what the fuck that is!!” he shouted just as another werewolf was plucked up and dropped off the building as the blur passed again. “THE FUCK!” He picked up his communication device. “Retreat, pickup NOW!” he shouted into it. The sound of an approaching helicopter began to get closer.
((SSSHHHHOOOOOOOOWN! "Its a fucking bird, its a fucking plane, IT's THE FUCKING MAYOR." wft? *dies*))

Vengeance had gathered just three guns. One a sniper rifle and two old revolvers. He had extra ammunition laying out beside him as he had laid down flat on his stomach. Anger was sliding inside his veins just begging for retribution for how these mongrels were messing with Angelique. She shouldn't even be out in the sun and he was definitely angry about that as well. The woman should know better than playing out in the sun when she was supposed to be sleeping safe and sound in her spot.
He took aim for that first shot. The white of his outfit seemed to suit with the roof of Lust that he laid on. The wind blowing at his hair seeming as if to show how perfect he looked lying there. He shot one wolf that had thought to attack him as his sister and him talked. Idiot... Low down dirty breed... Asshole... Asswipe. Should know better than to attack him when he was already angry. He took a shot when the one he considered the lead wolf thought to touch her. "I say we pave this ground in blood and dance the waltz through it. Leave your little footprints along the ground to show sign that you are to walk on the red carpet, Angelique."
He stood up as something grabbed a hold of one of the werewolves and summarily dropped the wolf off the building. Vengeance ran to the edge of the building's roof he was on and kept his gun trained on the lead wolf. "You touch her you are a dead man." He hissed as the wolf lifted his gun. "Didn't no one tell you you don't yell at ladies?" He growled low with his anger and looked at Angelique. "Get out of there and take the knockout with you. I got your back and so does whatever the fuck that is as well." His bare feet separated some as he shot behind him with the revolver.
Every shot he gave was precise and well thought out. He didn't need to see behind him to know that a wolf thought to attack him from behind with the ground to catch Vengeance if he was thrown off balance. The wind whipped his hair around even as it did the same to his white shirt. He kept a close eye on those on the other roof while he focused his hearing on any steps near him. "Don't make me come over there wolf. Don't fucking touch her or hurt her or I will come for you."
He let a smirk curve his lips as he pulled out a cigarette and proceeded to place it between his lips. He held the gun and took a few steps back to get out of the wind enough to light it before stepping forward again and crouching down on the edge of the roof as he held the gun more firmly. His eyes shown his dark intent as he waited. He shrugged his shoulders and spoke again. "I guess a demonstration of my abilities is needed." With that he pulled the triggering and it whizzed past the lead wolf just barely and straight into another wolf's shoulder.
"One... You have until the count of three shots to get out of there..." He moved the rifle and began reloading it once more. He brought it back up calmly and waited.

Angelique stood there contemplating her next move as she listened to Vengeance on the other building. Her body was hidden underneath the cover and her hand still hurt from being burned by the sun's rays. She shifted some even as she went to bend down to pick up Thor's body. This wasn't going smoothly at all and everything was getting worse and worse. She heard the wolf's yelling at her and looked up to find a gun pointed into her face. Her lips parted in surprise at it.
But even as the gun was pointed at her face she turned her head to look over at Vengeance on the rooftop of Lust. He was standing right on the edge of the building and she watched as he began to reload his gun. She grinned some as he took aim and shot a second round. She didn't hesitate. She picked up Thor and wrapped him up with the blanket even as her hands started to burn. She looked over at her building as the wolves began to scramble and she threw Thor onto her rooftop. She knew Vengeance would try to take the brunt of it and he did even as he got out and got into position again.
As Vengeance had got back into position once more the wolves began to scatter and about six of them ran into the stairwell of Valhalla. And with it all she had decided her next action would be to get off the Valhalla roof herself. She heard the next shot and heard the wolf that had obviously tried to grab her fall to the ground. She began to run as fast as she could but before she could get off of the roof. She went to jump from the edge she was on when she was grabbed from behind. "Vengeance!" She screamed but she was already fiddling for her blade. She grabbed it and struck behind her through the cover and jumped. She screamed as the sun hit her and grabbed Lust's edge. She held on with one arm and began to try to fix the cover.
The sun burned on her back through the thin material. Her skin felt like it was on fire and blood slid down her pale cheeks even as she finally got the cover to cover her as best as she could. She held on with one arm in the cover of the blanket and leaned her forehead on the side of the building in complete and utter pain. She was breathing roughly and had to keep trying to keep from falling. She looked down and began to move up along the wall so slowly but then she stopped again because her hand and back hurt so badly.
She took a deep breath and looked down towards the ground. Half way along the building or somewhere around there. Her back hurt so badly as did her hand. She found a slight ledge in the building's side and stepped on it. She couldn't just stand here all day like this. She leaned her head on the building again with a soft sound of frustration, anger, and fury. Where were the other Council Members? Why were they not helping? She knew she couldn't look up with the sun shining like this. Where was the fucking VSF?
She could hear Vengeance cursing above her and shooting as he paced along the roof's edge. Obviously some wolves had tried to get her and she was definitely stuck. But then she smelled Vengeance after she heard the gun get thrown backwards obviously and felt an arm wrap around her waist keeping the cover fully covering her. She felt him turn her so she was supported and he was able to climb. "Vengeance..." She whispered so softly on a very weakened voice.
"I'm here, Angelique. You will be safe now. Thor will be safe and I want you to never ever do this again alone." She gave a groan and felt his arm wrap around her again as he pulled them both up over the edge of the building. She fell back tangled in the covers onto her roof. He lifted her once more and put her in the dark hallway before going back and picking Thor up and carrying him inside. Angelique began to speak again as she began to pull the cover off after the door was closed firmly behind them.
"Is he going to be okay, Vengeance?" She saw Vengeance's eyes narrow. "You know damn well he will be fine. Now get your ass seated. Two Council Members on the fucking roof in trouble. And who the fuck was that that was flying around? I couldn't quite see it with the glaring of the light? What the hell was Thor doing out on the fucking roof in broad daylight?" He began to carry Thor. "And where the fuck you want him? And you better not say your room either. I will toss him down right here and now, Angelique." He growled warningly.
"The guest room. I don't fuck everyone, Vengeance! How crude of you!" Vengeance looked at Angelique and shrugged. "Well, with all things considered look at just today. You were nearly burned alive and have burns to prove it saving him. Granted I like Thor well enough but my sister getting hurt for anybody is not very well looked on by me." Angelique glared at him. "Shut up, Vengeance. Just shut up! You don't have to get like this at every turn!"
They argued quite a bit but it rarely lasted. They were close and knew they could depend on each other as well. She followed Vengeance into a guest room and watched him lay Thor down. She began to pull the covers from him and get him comfortable as Vengeance grunted and left leaving Angelique to help take care of Thor but then Vengeance came back in carrying extra things as well. She felt the cool wash cloth on her face as he began to help clean her off.
"You need rest, Angelique." She ran her hand through Thor's hair softly. "I need to help him." She spoke softly. Thor and her had been friends for quite some time. While most would have abandoned him she hadn't. Not because he was one powerful man but because she cared about him. She sat on the edge of the beside him and felt Vengeance cleaning her face more. "You know you are lucky. I wouldn't be doing this to practically anybody at all." Vengeance spoke. "You can't do this anymore, Angelique." Angelique glared at Vengeance. "Please not now!" They both went silent as Vengeance continued to wipe at the blood on her face.
