Beau could see the large green area that was set off by itself away from the buildings in the city. His white wings spread out so he could glide lazily over the area. He could see the people below him, some were looking in the fence as if they were trying to see something but trees and shrubbery seemed to block their view. Beau continued to fly until he saw what he was looking for; what he could smell a mile away. Then he saw it. Water...
He grinned and leaned into the wind with his body straight and his arms held to his side while he beat his wings hard twice and glided toward his destination. His destination was the waterfall that fed the lake in the middle of the park . He was so hot and thirsty that he landed directly beside the waterfall and stuck his head under it. He turned his head to the side and just began taking huge gulps of water.
When he pulled his head away, he noticed he was being watched. He looked up with his tongue licking out to the end of his chin with a "ahhh" then smiled. "Water." he said stuck his head back under. He pulled his head out and looked at his audience again.
He gave them a look like 'What are you staring at?' and stared back. Suddenly he planted his hand on his bare chest. "I Boo." he announced then sat down at the edge of the water where it began to flow into the lake. He looked down at his feet. One was clearly an impressive site with long curved razor sharp talons gracing the end of his toes.
The other was not so impressive. It had a length of dirty cloth wrapped around it. He winced as he unwrapped it, keeping a glancing eye on the person watching him. The cloth seemed to stick around one part of his foot and he winced each time he had to tug a little harder to pull it away.
Once unwrapped he looked at the smallest talon coming from his little toe. It was cracked and caked with blood and oozed another substance and it looked an angry red and purple which traveled up half his foot. He stuck it under the stream of water with a quiet grunt of pain then looked at his audience again wearily.
He was ready to fly if he had too but he needed this water and he was going to take it while he could. He reached to the clip on the strap to the knapsack that lay perfectly between his wings and the thing dropped to the ground behind him. He reached back and grabbed it then opened it up and pulled out two canteens. "Water" he said as he twisted the cap off one of them and shoved it under the water.
He looked up as a small flock of harpy eagles landed in the trees around him and looked at him curiously. He looked up at them and smile then pointed at the water. "Water, drink!" he said happily. The eagles flew down to the edge of the water and began drinking, paying no attention to the person watching. To Beau, that was a very good sign. "Like you." he said as he put the cap on the first canteen and grabbed the other one. He twisted the cap off it and shoved it under the water to fill it. When it was full he put the cap on it and put both canteens away.
He looked at his foot again and lifted it out of the water. With the blood and dirt gone, one could see that the talon was cracked all the way to the toe which had a long deep cut in it that extended to his foot. "My owie." he said sadly and pointed at it and put it back under the water.
Beaus stomach growled angrily. "I hungry." he said absently. Two harpy eagle immediately flew away. Only a moment later the two returned with apples and landed in his lap. He gasped and smiled. "Thank you!" he said and took the apples and bit deeply into one.
He looked up again at the person watching him. "Apple!" he said with his mouth full and held it out as if to offer it. One of the eagles flew up and took the apple from his hand and dropped it back in his lap. Beau frowned. "No, we nice." he said and picked up the apple and offered it again, "Apple?"

Keliel had fallen and she knew it as well as any that would go looking for her up in Heaven. Her eyes slowly open even though it hurt to do that. She slowly turned her head even as she tried to sit up. She brought her hand along her back as trying to feel her wings but knew they wouldn't be there and she began to cry even as she brought her bare feet up so that her knees were against her breasts.
She was so thirsty and so sad. She had to pull herself together. She was so thirsty. She slowly stood up but nearly fell down when she started to wobble some. She finally caught her balance and looked around rather sadly. No plant life at all. Everything was desert and she sniffled trying not to start to cry again. She shouldn't be so sad but she had been up in Heaven and now she was lost!
She started turning around in a circle as if trying to figure out what way to go. But then in the distance she saw... Plants! She began to walk towards it and saw that she must not be too far away from life then. But then she heard a voice and came closer. She was so tired and hurting. Tears had still slid down along her cheeks as she finally got to the water. She fell down onto her knees before the water.
She bent down and cupped her hands. She dipped her hands in the water and began to drink. Her bare back to any that would see her there. Her face black from dirt and she continued to drink as if she hadn't had a drink in a very long time. Her hair slid along her shoulders as she stayed on her knees drinking as much as she could before she sat back on her heels.
She looked over at the man offering an apple and blinked some. "I can fix your owie." She murmured not really thinking about what she said and looking about ready to drop. She gently took the apple he offered to her. "So thirsty..." She murmured and gave a soft sound before she took a bite of the apple. The irony. An apple. She gave a soft laugh at that thought.
"My name..." She chewed and swallowed giving him a slight smile. "Is Keliel. K is fine. Most just call me..." Her eyes began to get teary eyed. "K." This wasn't so bad though. He seemed like a nice person and everything was looking better.

Beau jerked his foot out of the water and practically tucked it up under him. The act broke it open even more and blood and puss dripped from it. “No, owie hurt. No touch.” He whimpered and looked down at his black, blue and red foot. He poked at it and winced loudly. He picked up the filty strip of cloth and began wrapping it around his foot again. “Water…” he said and nodded toward it. “Water good.” He bit his lip and grimmaced as he tucked the end of the cloth into itself as beads of sweat dripped off his already watermoistened brow.
With his dirty hand he picked up his apple which he had set on the ground and began eating it again. With his other hand he reached in his pack, “I Boo.” He announced again. He pulled a tattered rabbit that looked like it had been stuffed at one time out of his pack. Only the giant feet on the thing still had stuffing. He held the thing up so she could see the name written on the foot. ‘B.E.A.U.” was written in large letters and underneath, in small letters, ‘R.i.v.en.d.a.l.e’. He pointed at the shorter name, “Boo,” he said slowly and dragged his finger across it. He then dragged his finger across the longer word, “Paaaapaamister.” He said and put his hand on his chest. “Boo.”

Keliel saw as the man jerked his foot out of the water and tucked it up underneath him. "It won't hurt... I promise." She murmured softly. Her back hurt so much and she used her free hand to hold herself up. She shook her head to clear her head if she could. "Water is good but it will hurt still if you don't have it fixed better." She murmured. "I can fix it without it hurting. Promise..." She went to touch his hand as he pushed the cloth into the rest of the cloth. "It will get worse if not..."
She sat back on her heels as he picked up the apple with his dirty hand and looked around before hearing him speak again. She heard him say I Boo. She watched as he pulled a tattered rabbit out of his pack and she just sat there nude listening to this man talk. She saw the letters written on the bunny's foot and smiled softly. "Boo." She watched as he ran his finger across the longer word and spoke another word for that word.
"Rivendale... Is that your papa? And your name is Boo?" She looked up into his eyes. She pointed to herself. "I am K. You Boo." She spoke so softly and her voice held such a sweetness and she began to take a bite of the apple he had given her to eat. "Thank you, Boo for the apple. Such a nice one you are." She reached her hand out to offer to shake his. "Nice to meet you, Boo."

Beau listened to what she was saying and smiled. His harpy eagles shifted from foot to foot on the ground around him as if something was making them nervous. Beau felt tired. He didn't understand why he felt so weak lately. "Yes...I Boo." he said less enthusiastically. He tilted his head to one side and looked a the woman, "It hot." he complained. He put his rabbit back in his pack and pulled out an old shirt he found somewhere but didn't know how to use and tossed it in front of her.
"Here." he didn't know why he gave it to her, he just didn't need it and she didn't have anything so he gave it to her. He noticed her hand extended to him and remembered the old man taking his hand when he told him who he was. "Ny tah meecha." he said the words he remembered the old man saying. He reached his hand out and wrapped it around hers. Having been in the cold water his hand should have been cool to the touch but it was hot as a furnace.
He let go of her hand and got up on his hands and knees, wincing when his foot scrapped the ground. He crawled to the waters edge and lay on his stomach and lay the side of his head in the water. "Is hot." he complained again. The harpy eagles all flew up then dipped down into the water. They came up dripping and shook themselves over Beau's wings. He extended them and ruffled his feathers to let the water into them then laid them flat. "Water good." he said softly and closed his eyes, knowing if he needed to move, his friends would warn him. “Make feel better.” he mumbled. "You try....so hot."

Keliel actually was finding the man quite friendly and sweet. She knew his name was pronounced another way but she couldn't call him Beau. It was cute that he called himself Boo instead and it seemed to suit him. She knew he was tired by the way he spoke and knew it was probably from what she had seen of the wound. She gave him a soft smile. It was always better to smile than to cry. She heard him say it was hot and then watched as he put the rabbit back away but then he began to pull something out of his pack. She blinked as she saw the shirt and looked up at him.
He had given her plenty though and she picked up the shirt and began to put it on but winced as it touched her back. She pulled it down some to look over her shoulder at her back. Her wings. She pulled the shirt back up and began to button it. It was long but covered her enough that she could walk around until she found something more to cover herself. She had reached out her hand and felt his hand take her own. His touch was way too hot.
She felt him let go of her hand and knew she could help him. She knew what would happen if she didn't help him. He had shown her kindness when she had needed it. She crawled closer to him as he complained of the heat. She waited though because she didn't want to scare him. She heard his words and looked at him with a soft look before she moved down to his foot. It had been so long since she had done this and she was so exhausted and weary.
She looked at the harpy eagles. "I won't hurt him." She murmured reassuring them. She didn't know if they would attack her or not if she did do something. She dipped her head as she undid the bandage gently and slowly. She could feel his pain and it hurt so badly. She brought her hand gently over the top of the wound and closed her eyes. Her hands began to glow softly as she ran her fingers and palm over the wound healing it.
Her breathing was soft and calming. She slowly opened her eyes as she looked down at his foot but then her eyes turned to his wings. One of her hands reached out to touch it. You don't know what you will miss until it is gone. She couldn't remember a time she had been without her wings and not knew when she would get them back. But before she could touch his wings she pulled her hand back. She looked exhausted and put a hand on the ground.
"Boo... Does it still hurt?" She questioned softly before she ran her hand along his foot lightly.

Beau started to pull his foot away but then he felt an odd sensation. The throbbing pain in his foot seemed to lessen. He sighed and lay still. He did however, open his eyes and look back at the woman. He didn't know how she could do that and he couldnt but he was ok with that since the pain was going away. The cut was sealing up. The swelling was going down. The only thing that didn't change right away was the color and the red streaks. At least they paled in comparrison to what they were.
He motioned for his birds to come to him and they all stood around his head watching the angel at work. She was pretty. Of course Beau noticed that. But he was more interested in why she liked his wings so much. "My fly." he said softly. He shook his head at her inquiry, "No...better." he turned and looked away from her, suddenly shy. "Ama," he said softly and the largest of the female harpy eagles hopped up to him, "Hafa wabi? I hungry." he whined. The female immediately flew away with two other eagles.
While he was using words that a toddler would use, it was with the voice and tone of a grown man even if it was the voice of innocence, it was also the voice of someone who had to survive on his own since he was just a babe. "Woo." he said softly and more eagles flew away. He turned over and sat up and looked at Keliel for a moment before turning to his knapsack. He pulled out his flint and steele and held it up just as a pile of dry branches was deposited in front of him. "Fi...fi...is hot." he said as he gave up on remembering the word.
He went to work starting a fire and was not satisfied until he had it going well, hsi motions were fumbled and weak. Then he took a knife out of his backpack. At that moment a rabbit was deposited in front of him. He looked up at the large bird who was now scrutinizing the angel. "Ama." he said with a grin, "Gotta wabi." he looked at Keliel, "Is good...we eat." he went to work dressing the rabbit and setting a spit to cook it. He nearly cut himself twice with his fumbling. He kept his eyes averted from the angel, his brow dotted with sweat, then laid down beside the fire once it was cooking and closed his eyes, "Is hot." he murmured.

Keliel knew he had wanted to pull his foot away but gave him a soft reassuring smile as she touched his sore foot lightly. She kept her eyes closed even as he lay still letting her heal his foot. She was perfectly content helping him since he had helped her and was glad that he was helping her. She didn't know what lay ahead of her. But at least she had someone with her to help her on her path.
When she had reached for his wing to touch it he had noticed and she gave a slight smile. "I used to be able to fly. It's so much fun, huh?" She spoke softly almost as if she wished she had her wings back. Which she did want her wings back but maybe this was a learning thing. Maybe she was supposed to be here for a reason. Everything happened for a reason, right? She looked at him and her stomach growled. She put a hand to her stomach. What was that? She looked down at her stomach as if surprised it had made a noise at all.
She knew he talked like a toddler but for the most part she could understand what he was saying. Woo when the eagles came back had to be wood. Fi fi... Meant fire. "Fire..." She spoke her thought out loud. Not cruelly just as if she realized what he had meant by it. She watched his movements intently having never had to learn how to do much of anything like this. She smiled brightly. "You did it!" She said in surprise as if she never had seen it done before. Which in truth she never really had. She saw the rabbit as it was deposited in front of Beau. "Ama is the bird's name?" She asked softly as she looked at the eagle curiously.
She knew how to cool him off. She had her Wind Sword, right? She could call for it but she wasn't sure how he or the eagles would react to it.

Beau looked at the bird who was staying close to him after she gave him the rabbit. "Is my Ama." he said and pointed without lifting his hand, then he looked up in the nearby tree and pointed again, this time at a very large, majestic male harpy eagle who seemed to be keeping watch. "Is my Ada." he said then closed his eyes. "Sweep...nees sweep." he murmured and sighed. His forehead was dotted with sweat yet he seemed to be shivering softly.
He batted at a fly that landed on his nose but it just flew right back. The female harpy eagle hopped over and snapped the fly right off of him. She then lay her head on his forehead for a moment the looked up at the male in alarm. He immediately flew down to her and repeated the action she just made, laying his head against Beau's forehead. The two birds looked at each other nervously then looked at the angel. The rocked back and forth as if disturbed by the fact that Beau had a raging fever and they expected her to be able to do something about it.

Keliel looked to where Beau had pointed and nodded her head some. But then she looked to the tree to where he pointed and said Ada. "Ama and Ada." She heard him speak again and knew that he meant he needed to sleep. She saw the sweat beading on his forehead and moved to him before gently wiping it away with her hand. Her eyes widened. He was so hot and she looked him over. How could that be? Had she lost everything when she had fallen?
But then the harpy eagle hopped over and she started to move her hand away having not seen the fly she thought the harpy meant to hurt her. She watched the harpy lay it's head on Beau's forehead and then saw the other one move down and do the same action. But then she saw the harpy eagles look at her. She didn't know what she could do. She had healed countless people and yet she had tried to heal Beau and it seemed hopeless. "I do not know what I can do but I will do what I can. For now sleep is the best thing for him."
She slowly moved closer to curl up with Beau like a child even though she was a full grown human or rather angel. Maybe with her laying like this with him it would be comforting. She looked out over the place and thought over the events and what had happened and then a thought occurred to her. "Find another angel. A stronger one." She murmured to herself more than anyone. If she had fallen to Earth how many others were there? She turned over some to cuddle him. She knew it would be hard to find an angel though. She gave a soft sigh as she closed her eyes thinking of Heaven.
She already missed home. She hadn't wanted to leave there at all. She had wanted to stay there with her own wings. She moved her hand to slide it along his wing softly. But she had met someone that seemed to genuinely help her to survive. She would repay him as well. She liked him though she was kind of afraid of the harpy eagles. She was also afraid of what may happen here. What happened if she lost Beau? Granted she had just met him but he had helped her more than he knew.

Beau knew something was very wrong. He had been sick before and he knew this was bad but he was too weak to do anything about it. It didn't take him long to fall asleep. He had terrible dreams about his life in the desert on his own which was normal for him yet made worse by the fever. He always had the zombies following him, trying to get him. It was a zombie who broke his talon and cut his foot. What he didn't understand was why his side hurt so bad every so often.
Beau woke up several hours later, trapped in a dream of a zombie chasing him. He jerked awake and struggled to stand up. "Zoomie.." he gasped as Ama flew to his shoulder. "Zoomie gi me, Ama." he spun in circles, searching for the zombie that was only in his mind. He was wide eyed with fear and tried to run but he didn't get far before doing a face plant in the mud near the shore. He lifted his head weakly, "Zoomie....zoomie gi me..." he gave up on getting up and closed his eyes as the eagles surrounded him as if they believed his words as much as he did.
His eyes popped open for a moment and he let out a wincing hiss and slapped his hand onto his lower abdomen and groaned in pain. It lasted about 30 seconds before he finally relaxed and lay there panting.

Keliel had just closed her eyes to fall asleep next to him. Curled against him was comforting in a way and she was slowly starting to go into that lull of sleep when she felt movement behind her and then suddenly she was jolted and she didn't quite awaken more acted on instinct which made her Wind Sword appear on the ground next to her. She got up opening her eyes and holding the weapon as if looking for whoever had frightened her awake. But then she remembered that she wasn't in Heaven but on Earth and she looked around for Beau.
She had to protect him. She held the sword with two hands even as she opened it as she heard his words but then as she looked around there was nothing and she dropped her open sword and dirt went flying over the place and she looked at the harpy eagles before looking to where Beau would be she assumed when she heard his words and saw him in the mud. "Beau..." She whispered softly. She knew that he was in pain by the way he hissed and held his side.
Her sword disappeared as she moved to him. She nearly slipped in the mud and then fell to her knees beside him even with the harpy eagles surrounding him. She went to reach a hand to him. "Shh, Beau... No one is going to get you. I promise. But we should get you cleaned up. Does it hurt? No zombies..." She assumed zoomie meant zombies. "Will get you. I looked around. Nothing is here but you, me, and your friends... The eagles. Promise." She looked to the harpy eagles wondering if she should touch Beau with them around.

Vengeance had been standing outside of Lust when he had seen it. He wanted to ignore the falling but perhaps he had hope that it was his long lost love. The one he had lost his heart to. The one he still breathed for and wanted more than any other. Granted he wasn't the same as he had been but there was something of a semblance of the angel he had once been. The one who had proudly served God. In that same thought he pulled out a cigarette and began walking even as he placed it between his lips.
He lit it with a match before he tossed the match down on the ground. He had on just a pair of white slacks and a white trench coat. Nothing more. No shoes, no shirt. Just that. He grabbed the hat of a man that was passing by him and the man started to say something even as Vengeance put the white top hat on his own head. He pushed it back enough so the man could see the cold look in his eyes. He placed it back down shielding his eyes from people looking at him and the man quickly walked away.
Vengeance continued on his way marking where he had seen what he had saw. There was no mistaking a falling. He began to move faster at a run to get to whomever it was. It seemed Lust was becoming full of angels anymore. They flocked to Lust more and more. Angelique took them in of course. He rolled his eyes at that thought. She didn't know that she was putting him in danger in a way. That if anyone realized who he really was that it could mean a very bad thing. His knowledge especially when Michael AKA Archer had come along. It was shocking to see the Archangel come there. Fuck Lust had become a fucking angel sanctuary and it was like the last place any angel would go to.
Hence why he had put it in Angelique's head to make a strip club casino. Now though it was turning out to be the worst idea as well. But his bare feet hit the ground with thuds as he ran. His muscles seemed to dance underneath his skin as if they were just waiting to be noticed. He finally made it to... The Sanctuary? His eyes narrowed even as he dropped the smoke on the ground outside of the place before he made his way inside. Who could be here?
He began to move slowly even as he walked and looked around. His steps were barely heard having practiced on being absolutely silent and moving like a predator that he was and is. He finally came up to where he saw a woman and a man? But then his eyes widened as he saw the mark on her. Keliel! "Keliel!" He couldn't help whispering. The woman has helped with Eden even. She was the gardener. Granted he rarely paid attention to her but here she was and seemed to be guarding this man with these harpies. He began to walk closer to them.
He had to respect the angel. She looked even now so lost here and granted he wasn't a nice guy anymore but God would knock him on his ass if he mistreated her after all she had done to help all of them. So he slowly moved closer. "Keliel... I come to offer my help. We should be on the move before..." Shit she would know that he wasn't human. "I mean my abilities tell me that I should help you. An angel and your friend." Abilities meaning that he had the ability to help an angel and could. An ability. "I know a place but under one condition will I help you and your friend. Your silence as to either who I am or what I am as well." His eyes stared down at the two. "And those birds better not attack me either."

Beau jerked his head up at the sound of a mans voice. Men were bandits and caused pain. They carried guns and stole his things if they could catch him. He whimpered and tried to draw away from the sound of the voice, "Mans, bad, bad mans." he murmured as his eagles formed a protective circle around him. But then it seemed like they knew the man was an angel so they were not in any way defensive. It was more as if they were trying to comfort Beau.
Beau pushed himself to his knees, his hand staying firmly against his side. "Run, an-jel, mans bad." he whimpered and pulled out his knife to defend Keliel. He was suddenly gripped with the pain again and fell to his knees with his teeth gnashing and his eyes pressed tightly closed. This time it was too much. He was exhausted. His body was wore out and the pain was too much...Beau fell to the ground along with his knife and passed out. The eagles all turned and looked at the two angels as if to say "Well?"

Keliel was beside Beau and looking down at him almost helplessly. She knew she couldn't help him any further than she had. She needed to find someone to help them. Someone to help him! But then she heard a voice and her eyes widened as she looked the man over. He looked more like he was a demon than here to offer his services. What could he... But the thought ended when she heard Beau speaking.
She watched as he pushed to his feet and stood there to defend her. But the man had been speaking and she saw his mark and her lips parted in surprise. An angel. Not just any angel either. Raphael stood right here and he had always been dangerous. She couldn't believe he was offering them help but then Beau fell and she ran to him and pulled against her as she looked up at the other angel.
Could she trust him? She had to make a decision and she looked to the harpies and then back at Raphael. She had known him a tiny bit but not much other than a hello. He was a fighter in everything. They had named him Vengeance. He was scary to her even for an angel.
